I think they are in a separate tier of quality. BLM has always had tons and tons and tons of great supporting cast, coaches etc. reilly is used to playing with shakey at best Ols, meh rbs, WR cores that lack depth and defenses that dont win games. He has performed similarly with a whole lot less to work with. If you put mike reilly on any team in the league they make the play offs. Blm doesnt carry bc or mtl to the play offs. Maybe a couple other teams too. Reilly is the elite of the elite he has slowly been pulling past blm for a bit now. He also isnt a bag of dicks like BLM is.

Theyve done it with all three. they ran dressler up the gut last year after he had come back from injury. Of course it cant be out side the tackle and up the gut. 😆

he looked great going up the middle last night. They do it to dressler despite injury concerns and have run adams too. They would run my great grandmother up the gut off motion if she was still alive. Who knew do or die was a golden gophers fan?? i love the article thanks for sharing.

it wasnt the prettiest hold ever, but the botch was on weather/medlock. He miss fired and kicked the ground then stopped. Un pretty hold, but good on ross to improvise and then mitigate the loss. With his injury, losing out to streveler, and botched holding job I could see him sitting on the 6 game getting some coaching polish and us bringing in another qb. Perhaps we trade for adams, maybe we sign another teams cut, maybe the fever comes out of retirement (i hope not) But I dont think we stand pat. franklins first game, 4/7 41 yards. second game, 5/8 83 yards and 3 tds... against us. Hamilton looks like his first start, but it is certainly his first good sample size. 22/36 254 2 tds 1 int. Similar level of production. A pick on a conversion is interesting. It isnt a turn over, but it does cost a point. But the 2pt convert is not a great decision imo. n00bbrady gave us hope. Hope for the games till nichols is healthy again. Hope, for an era after nichols. Hope that if nichols is hurt again, we dont become a write off. I expect him to come a bit down in terms of scoring production, but be a bit smoother and steadier. he really put together some great sustained drives. Edm did a great job of challenging him and keeping him off balance. Next week, is montreal. so maybe scoring production wont go down after all haha.

agree very much. the stops in clutch were the prevent defense. But also, it was week 1, past 1 in the morning with two lengthy stops, we had a good bit of change over from last year and no mo. And yeah reilly just played perfectly. even the pic fogg snagged was a monster play. over the shoulder in front of the wr Nothing he did wrong. The wrs made some great plays. Its not the big plays, its what we do after the other team makes big plays that decides games. With this level of athlete and skill teams are gonna make plays especially in the cfl.

A few guys had good games and good plays but as a unit they didnt perform well. particularly neuf. The pocket got pushed back on him a bunch. edm used the blitz pretty well when they sent it. Sherritt was showing an dropping a lot and giving streveler trouble though. It seemed, (pre re watch of the game) that he was going hot route check down pressure release. i mean its a lot to take in soo quickly, but he didnt seem to be fully reading the field and when he got to his last check down was a bit lost. Some thing that should come with time. Some thing that could have been the HH was goosen hustling down field pushed the pile for a first down and pancaking a defensive player for edm. real thing of beauty.

The secondary played pretty well, until we went into prevent defense again. We didnt see blown coverage and missed assignments. We just give too big a cushion too often. Thats the hall defense. The ol missed bond a lot last night. Disappointment was the second delay for weather.

he said he was going to be far more involved in the D. the blitzes are mostly his design. He didnt say he was going to take control of it. Would be nice, that classic hall prevent Defense cost us a win again.

One big catch for 46 yards. A couple of the plays he mad were just insane. But out side of the one big play he had 3 for 28 yards. Two of his catches were just an outstanding play maker making a great play. His coverage was on point last night. imo his best game as a bomber coverage wise.

1 fogg, some nice coverage a huge 110 yard return for a td and a pick in the end zone. 2 Streveler. 15/27 178 3 tds 2 pics 7 carries for 30 yards. 3 JSK, 6 tackles, 1 sack 1 tfl really shined playing next to bighill HH to the bombers brass for opening up the stadium for free after the second delay to any one who wanted to come done. On the field, Fenner got chop blocked got up and took down gable for a loss on a swing pass one on one.
