Nichols is also slated to be out for less games then collaros has missed on average the past 4 seasons. impossible to catch the top 2? no. Unlikely, perhaps. But its also bolstered by the fact edm has 3 starting dbs out to start the season and no longer has franklin waiting to back up, and calgary looks more and more human. The sask situation with collaros, the old and the ni depth, and bc is in even deeper trouble with its ol and qb.

As Chris Jones demonstrated, accurate information about quarterback can be hard to come by... I don’t want to take a usual suspect, so… Zach Collaros, QB, Saskatchewan. I don’t like their offensive line, Canadian depth.... How can soo many people NOT see the utter disaster in waiting that is the sask offense? Bad ol, Qb coming off a bad season + a half a season before that where he couldnt get it done till garbage time, and a guy who averaged just 11 games a year for the last 4 years! Im not big on qbs "record" but any starter and top paid guy on his team that hasnt won in 12 starts is an issue. The riders cut bond, maybe the best guard in the league. They cut 2 starting wrs one canadian coming off his best season. They are already in cap trouble and have no NI depth. The "vaunted" D, has sam hurl starting! The best move we made in the past couple years is dumping him. They are starting a rookie corner who hasnt played a regular season game at any level as a db, or on defense. They have a real good DL. I really liked judge coming out. They have a couple good dbs and a couple talented wrs. Thats like half a team at best. And missing the most important parts.

Depth Charts June 14th Bombers vs Eskimos

250 is pretty average size for a cfl DE. Weve seen much smaller guys, gavin walls and joe montford play masterfully on the end. He was much much smaller then 250 at the combine. He was 233, could he have put on 17 lbs of lean mass from then to now, possibly. Could he have from the combine to last year in edm? not lean mass no. He isnt a track athlete, but he doesnt play terribly fast either. Hes under sized and out matched athletically. He isnt polished by college DE standards, he is a young guy with a motor and the right passport. If trent corney didnt have NI status, his athletic ability would easily have him in the cfl. Bc wanted to sign loffler as an IMP before he qualified for NI status. Simonise was highly thought of by the bengals. Petermanns athletic ability would also have him in a camp up here even with out his pass port. If boateng didnt have NI status he never would have gotten as far as a mini camp invite as TCF, and still wouldnt. Maybe he turns him self into a good pro end. It could happen, other guys have seized opportunity of the pass port and done it before. Wade miller, matt sheridan, and jamie stoddard for example. But as of his play ending last year, that hasnt been him. -

Weve passed on tons of good football players in the draft, those who fell and other wise. Where he was picked, or who by has no impact on the fact he just isnt that good of a DE. He was well below average last year. -

Flanders mostly played a wing/flank spot. Came in for an imp wr. But he motioned and lined up inside of normal slot positions. We put normand in as an Hback going between TE and FB mostly on blocking and some block n release stuff. Tbh we didnt use either package a lot for offensive out put. Flanders was as much used as a threat as an actual weapon. Change of pace stuff. In a goal line/short yardage situation, where you would use a true FB/hback couture would already be on the field. As well as thomas. So last year we'd have two tight, and normand and harris. -

We will probably just use WRs to chip in the few packages that include a FB and not a 2nd hb. In goal line type stuff we could fill in one of the Lbers etc. No one we have really fills the shoes of a FB but we could get creative with say corney. Its a low usage spot imo. And one we made more use of because normand is a real good football player. -

Double shift with fogg starting is an option, but he looked bad in limited reps at sam imo. I hope mo gets better and back to his old self soon. If we add him and keep the other 4 its the best situation. -
If we are gonna mess with the ratio, we would be far better off rotating corney/thomas as a starter and going with an extra imp on the oL, foketi for neuf. I dont think we will see 8 starting NI or corney / thomas unless we see injuries else where though.

For some reason people seem to think he has suddenly become a borderline all star. Idk I wouldnt trade corney for him and a 1st round pick. He wouldnt have been top 10 on the DL for us in camp. I get starting less then spectacular NI dts, a role guy eating up OL in the middle can do a ton for your edge rush. But sacrificing good end play is a horrible move imo. Id love to see petermann given some shots at it. I dont think augustine is well cut out to return. But I also dont love the idea of sending out demski. Id send simonise or ptermann. -

But also because bennett can run the same option package stuff as streveler. I really do not like our depth at DB. No extra cb/hb fogg doing double return duties and full time db with no one to rotate. since fogg is listed in both return spots i assume its lankford. Wilson played pretty well in pre season i hope we carry him. 5 back ups for mlb/wlb and none for cb, hb, or sam. God fordbid a db gets hurt. Jones would be the man to rotate and take an injured spot, and he is a good football player but he is far more a S then a cover guy. -

I expect to see all kinds of mixed looks with wings and motion flank to slot etc. I hope to see atleast some shovel / out side zone read option. -
I like the pick on petermann. I feel like he will play the best of the big three, but that he will see the field the least due to being behind demski. his height isnt impressive for getting on rides at disney land, no doubt. But when a guy that undersized makes the cut you gotta know he makes up for it on the field.

Very much agree. A lot of times modern teams plan for wrs to run off the dbs rather then block. Weve seen some really good blocking from wrs in the past, kamau, milt, stoddard etc. Petermann seems like hed run through a brick wall if the first down marker was on the other side. Its too bad he isnt starting, I do think he is the better player right now between the 3 young guns. And yeah I expect to see some great blocks from the wrs this year. Just hope fully not from dressler or adams too much. -
Hold a clip board, so long as that doesnt get in the way of you getting the real players coffee... type of job.
-
electric quick guy, kinda similar style player to fogg.Makes a lot of plays on the ball. Had a great camp.
-
For bomber awards its interesting, the only guys we have on the active roster for rookies are streveler and bryant. I think cooper from the PR ends up winning Roty for us, or streveler by default. MODP bighill MOL Big stan. Sts medlock MOC demski MOP darvin adams. (long shot here, but I think he could have a monster year)

No doubt. Dressler and adams can catch and run like mad. bowman is a beast in the red zone. The canadians have shown they more then belong as well. Harris can give him an out let pass with a chance at a first down every time. Most of that OL in bc never started a game before. Then add in the fact we arent running vanilla offense in the regular season and we have reason to hope. -

Yes i believer he did. But wasnt he on the field with like 1 active reserve OL and a bunch of wrs who are cut? He isnt going to be as good as his first game, or as bad as his second game in all likely hood. 13/19 184 yards 2 tds 1 pic 6 carries 42 yards (with a big run called back). That with pieces around him being found wanting in game two. I dont expect him to step in and be a star. I expect to see some mistakes and a learning curve. We cant say how quick he will pick it up. Some guys hit the ground running. other guys kick around for 3 years or more and still dont get how the game works up here. We will see what type he is for sure in the coming weeks, but I think he is the hit the ground running type. -

wow thats insane. Thats the most impressive metric from his college career imo. To run a spread with soo many options plays, a dual threat qb and soo many deep balls and not turn it over is mad. -
this year montreal might finally go 0-18. Theyve been working towards it for a few years but now is the time.
-
🤞 Dare to dream. This D with Mo back and playing like mo of old would be incredible.

riley doesnt run as well but he does run very well. And yeah putting your head down and fighting for extra yards against those two up the middle with our athletic DL getting in on the back end of plays is a bad bad idea. -
I think nichols buys every one time. Worst case scenario He would get axed around ldc/bjb imo. But I dont think it happens.
