out side of a few guys for whom bad penalties are a problem. kuale, westerman etc. No hardrick and no bond is a big deal. I hope with hardrick back and no more newf at T itll be back to usual. Right now the primary concern with the team has to be 1 the ol playing well and 2 nichols staying healthy. Sounded like speller had a good game too.

1 streveler 10/10 140 yards 1 td with that 80 yard bomb, 4 runs for 37. Had that fumble and tossed it to the flats for a decent loss at one point. But played great for a first time with back ups vs back ups. 2 augustin 8-81 1 catch for 7. really pounded the rock, exploited holes and broke a bunch of tackles. 3 nevis the DL started out really well and played well in general by the sounds of it. nevis was in the backfield a bunch while he was on the field. HH Bighill with a big tackle on teams to swing mo back in our favor and stop early struggles on teams.

very true indeed.

I really think that appetite is for their teams in football. with HS, college and the nfl I dont personally see room for more in the vast majority of markets. Most football fans I know down south have 1 team in 2 levels they are huge on and are a bit meh on the third level. i didnt know about that with respect to cato. But its a much much bigger problem then a lot of nba/nfl types let on. Going from the worst areas being totally broke down poor in a multi generational poverty situation to varying degrees of wealthy is hard for any one. And becoming wealthy doesnt fix the messed up youths soo many players were subject to. Football and basketball are a lot like boxing in that way. Biggest in the poorest areas. regardless of ethnicity. Un treated / diagnosed mental disorders and trauma are why we see soo many athletes in those sports with troubled adult lives. One day when concussions arent the first and last issue in sports like the nfl maybe we will see the amount of effort and help for these young men mentally that we see in concern for concussions now. I feel like the much slower path for baseball players to money, and the expense of pushing a kid through the phase from player to prospect makes them a bit different.

the ncaa is way over due for a mass overhaul or out right trashing. if i was a QB in montreal during the reed era Id never stop running. Not till I hit the border atleast.

the stigma and fear involved with football injuries has never been higher. I think some players / family are more likely to retire early when they are at the fringe of football. Especially if they go to camp and it isnt clicking for them or they get a great opportunity out side of playing back home. Is brandin bryant injured? i didnt see him on the roster for the pre season game on the bomber site. i really hope he goes.
-
He came into camp last year at like 267 and this year at 262. And that guy is shredded. So if he has gained bulk and gotten lighter man look out. He is the most physically gifted and athletic big NI ive seen. If he puts it together the NFL will come calling in a hurry.

We have a plethora of good guys to fill out the final spot. Some good dbs are gonna get cut. Walker did play pretty well in a pretty poor set up. I hope we keep the best vet to start, and one or two of the best young guys to sit on the PR. Two years ago At the end of the season I thought we were set at db talent wise. If mo gets back healthy and regains his MOp form, this D is gonna make swaggerville look like staggerville.

what i wouldnt give to have de'anthony thomas instead though... For he did not wish tribute or song. No monuments, no poems of war and valour. His wish was simple: "Remember Floyd" he said to me. That was his hope. Should any free soul come across that place, in all the countless centuries yet to be, may all our voices whisper to you from the ageless stones.

same here.

most sings the praises of every one he talks about, i dont think he has ever had a critical word about any player to the media.
-
banks wasnt one of his guys though. frederick was here longer but got let go for newer dbs etc. It isnt all about tenure, though that does play a role in it. See guys like jackson jeffcoat, JSK, poop, an every ones favorite ex wr. this isnt a team where the most talented / best fits play. The most versatile guys play, and some random un seen factors apply (kuale factor) mostly most does seem to come around to the best players though.
-
I kinda feel like lankford is the next hurl/kuale. He does flash a good play now and again but we have soo many better imp wrs on the roster right now its ridiculous.
-
He was great at making big plays. Picks, forced fumbles, fumble recoveries and big returns. But his coverage was very spotty as a rookie too. Ideally imo we'd have him as an extra db not a starter.
-
Hes an all purpose offensive weapons. return man, wr and rb. fast twitch, cut back shifty type runner. Hes a good pick up. When you get a chance to bring in a quality player to check out, especially in TC you take it. No matter the position thats how you build great depth. We seem to be running out alot of KRs right now though. Im hoping its a sign we wont settle for stankford again.
-
What really got my attention is how well he reads and follows his blocking on returns. Good speed, great versatility, should be interesting to see what he can bring to tc.

No joke. To get rid of jock, and hank on top of these changes would be incredible. Id give my left nut for pinball to join the panel. I feel like itd be good too if matty and duane ford swapped spots too. Duane has some great insight and analysis, but he is not a good or natural presenter / speaker. Matty is the opposite. I enjoy walby and westwood, id love to see walby join the tsn panel or do color etc. And i wouldnt mind seeing westwood rolled into abit more of the bomber/cjob coverage. Brown on the tsn panel would be great for every one too. I love him working with bob but he is such a bright, well spoken and interesting guy fans of all teams would love doug.

Yeah I think the ladder is the purpose. A work out is curious. They must know what he brings to the table by now. Idk maybe they want to try and light a fire under mahoney. that would be a dream scenario. Masoli as back up would make us cup favorites imo.

saints be praised!

On the surface It seems like a poor change. (the reversion of the force out rule) If a wr is goes up, gets the ball, is going to come down in bounds and the db pushes him out that doesnt seem fair. But at the same time, the dbs can do soo little with out getting a flag. And the field is soo wide, the offense should be able to operate well with in that range. Now just let the wrs and dbs hand fight, but not push off and im happy. if 65 yards isnt wide enough the offense is doing it wrong. Plus the throw to the side line is not exactly a lethal offensive weapon.
-
Wow, that is a hell of a story. Good for him, i have no doubt he has turned it around if he is here. Thats the truth.
-
Id be pretty happy with that if he shook loose. I wouldnt trade for him right now though.
-
Makes me wonder if streveler is too raw. Not a bad move. Knows the team, system, coaches etc. Great athlete very un polished and low on over all experience. Showed some flashes with the riders last year though. Or maybe mahoney is on the way out. From all reports he has sounded far behind and very raw.
-
would be nice if we stopped running him on those sweep plays. We have the depth at wr we should be able to help him stay healthy especially late in the season.
-
shawn lemon maybe? Joe flemming for sure... I would suspect a lack of DL trades stem from teams hoarding linemen. can always hide guys on injured list and in active hoping to trade em.
