Incredible size too. Solid production in college as well. Itll be interesting to see how big he is coming into camp, he was pretty light at the combine.

Vince McMahon considers move to bring back the XFL

again. That's an incredible amount of money to front, considering how much that team owner dumped into the AAF and didn't buy half a season I'm not optimistic. I think a secondary league in the US doing well is good for football. Another talent catch before guys disappear, a place for old guys to go who arent done with football yet, giving chances to young bucks to play more. I just dont think the XFL will be it. -
I bet jon ryan had more reps at WR in college then jade.

Vince McMahon considers move to bring back the XFL

Arent they up and running again? I think they had a nice little niche, they just went crazy with expansion and pushing it. Is the XFL dead again yet? -
Drafting a football player high, who is built like a ballerina is a bad idea.

very low miles though. Harris is 32, powell is 31, gable is 31, wilder is 28, sutton is 32, jeremiah johnson is 32 etc. Id take a shot on a guy like green over gable, sutton, johnson etc, even wilder is a lot of head ache and money for a similar skill set. Cheap, fresh legs, established that he can play in the league, not a threat to jump to the nfl etc.

Addison was tall, strong (something like 6'4 225?) and fast. (4.6 to the 4.5 of nic demski) He put up good numbers in college too iirc. I feel like that was the more reasonable of the bust picks.
-
He was in at guard in 16 a bit and didn't look good. He is more of a tackle, which is odd but does happen some times. It is hard to not only play up to the level of a Hardrick but also to slot in on short notice without much possibility of keeping that job. Hardrick also struggled at guard actually. Bond coming in at guard and Hardrick going to tackle was huge for our OL. Some guys have used height to great advantage. But in general ive always felt that being a lot taller makes it far harder to maintain good leverage, and easier for the other guy to get it. Especially on the inside of the line.

Such a fantastic story, person and football player. Hes such a corner stone of the team. I hope his career ends with the HOF and a couple of blue, grey cup rings.
-
I could see him rotating around both 3 tech and end. Hes stuck in the middle like corney was at one point. His game does certainly work well with the interior vs the edge. I think it depends a bit who takes the other DT spot. With nevis on the nose jake and kongbo could rotate as a 3 technique. Where as brandin bryant fills kinda that same role. I expect the ratio to end up 2 NI wrs, 3 NI ol, 1 ni rb, 1 ni S which is 7. We can use jake and jones in packages to get an extra Imp on the DL or in coverage. We could also end up starting 2 NI OL though. I think it depends on how the OL and WR shake down. Either way the DL is going to be exceptional and deep.

I like the way green runs the ball. Hope he finds another team hes a gooder.

Idk about that, he missed out narrowly on bringing back Brian clark, geroy simion, arland bruce and more. What he did do though was capitalize on the folding of the renegades. His role in US scouting during the early 2ks along with Ritchies old vet pickups kept football in Winnipeg.
-
Haven't seen anything of the sort from him in his stints. But he has been around soo long as a back up if hes ever gonna be ready itll be this year and they mustve kept an Imp ol around that long for a reason.
-
Go back to the taman era its even worse. If you take out the last couple of walters drafts and go back say 20 years, we have got to have the worst drafting record in the league or close to it.
-
WR is gonna be hard. Geroy simon was here for 1 and a half years worth of games. Does he go on the list where his talent and league production demands or do guys who werent as good but here much longer get the nod?Similar to geroy simon, alfred jackson is worthy of recognition as well. For me, Milt, Murphy, Joe Poplawski, TE, and Ernie Pitts is pretty good. Rick house is close though, Wilcox worthy of a mention too.

Idk swiston was a 4th round pick, that's just overhyping.
-
He did rostered parts of 14 games and made 5 tackles. Faith, addison richards, tyson pencer, jade ettiene, andy mulumba (2nd over all never played a down up here)
-
Dont think he is. Think he went IR to PR, to UFA.
-
I think if they are cut and not in the next years camp with someone then you know you picked a dud. Someone, midseason will bring in a high pick bust just because you aren't going to find any other Nis any where else. IIRC the moes gave Tyson pencer a midseason look, and the riders took jade in a trade. And those guys, + faith were the poorest picks weve made in a long time.

I dont agree, he had some good burn time at wil in his limited reps. I think he was on the verge, but probably would have topped out as a good starting NI lber. Hed still be like 28 or 29 now. So he'd just be getting into his prime. Certainly not as good as corney. Kind of falls into this NI tweener range. Not good / big enough for a starting Wil, large for a S. Jessie briggs range. That 16 draft was pretty riddled with landmines too. And we managed to have an excellent draft despite giving up the 1st in our bid for his rights.
-
both true.
-
I feel like we tried to force some thing that wasnt there with etienne and richards. Faith seemed like a shot in the dark. Corney and waggoner atleast produced on some level and you could see the thought process.

Every starting QB in the league has to re-earn their stripes every year, and again in the playoffs. This will be the first camp where Nichols has a legit starter, a younger guy with potential at his heels. That can tend to drive the best out of you. Or break you. Streveler has to prove it wasn't an anomaly last year just as much. More importantly, I want to see Bryan Bennett get 20 Sts tackles this year. Loved seeing him fly downfield and get the tackle. If all 3 qbs are healthy out of camp, its going to be incredibly hard to un seat any of them. Because bennett can run the streveler packages, and contributes on teams.

Haha, Loved the heart and work ethic of Drover. He actually looked pretty solid at DB in his stint there. My short list of guys, Amari Coleman, and Terrance Baldwin. 41/47 college games (we've had years with 2 or more qbs who didn't total that many games combined) 38/31 pass knockdowns (insane) 142/131 tackles, and Baldwin has legit high 4.3 40 speed. Derek jones. He is poised to take the starting S job, and has looked very good on D and teams to date. More the stay home cover guy then loffler. The great fit, long developed guy finally going to make a go of it. Brandin Bryant. Stole poops job halfway through last year. Incredible explosiveness and athleticism with great DT size. Still only 25, the sky is the limit for him. Dl is a deep position for us, he's gonna need to fulfill a lot of that potential to keep his spot. But many if he does look out. Jackson jeffcoat. Guy is a natural pass rusher. In limited action the last two years he has put a ton of pressure on opposing QBs. With jefferson, Roh, some tough rookies including kongbo he is in a similar position to bryant. Im betting it brings the best out of both of them. Geoff Gray. NI ol is incredibly deep for developmental guys. Gray has a leg up on most having been rostered for one game last year and already learning the playbook, team etc. The OL has a few spots up for grabs and he is well poised to grab one. Streveller, of course. Right now he is an excellent backup and change of pace guy who can protect the ball and keep the team in the game. If he turns the corner and takes the next step, look out. Charles nelson. He could be our best return man / x factor in a long long time. Looked dangerous each time he touched the ball in his limited action last year. Kenbrell Thompkins. At 30 his NFL window is basically closed short of a miracle. No WR spots outside of Darvin Adams are guaranteed. Showed good hands and some explosiveness in limited reps last year. The second year is make or break for wrs. Simonise, peterman, wolitarski, and nic demski. I expect 2 of these guys will start and the other 2 see strong rotational use. I think demski will really flourish in another year of plops offense. Woli had a coming out party, then was forgotten then came back with a vengeance. I expect him to see a steady diet of footballs. Simonise and peterman both showed flashes in limited action and both are gonna be hungry.

Could be, I don't think it was ever made official. He was listed as a FA for a long time on the CFL site. He was coaching HS(?) track and field last offseason. Too bad, he was really turning the corner before he got hurt.
