If faith is as much further along as he seems (it is early though I know) I wonder if we go with jake and faith at one DT spot to get foketi on the OL rather then going with newf.
-
See that alot in these highlights. I usually play em muted. Idk if he was behind it but yeah. I dont get it either.

studs. randle has better production at the NFL level then a fist full of our prospects in camp had in college. Crazy deep with talent this year. Is it like this for every team i wonder.

How many of those 6 dl games where when we were refusing to use our best line up and forcing thomas in, not starting jeffcoat etc though. We struggled against the run vs every team that wanted to run, for idk 3 years? Any time a team has decided to focus on the run theyve had their way with our D for far too long. The hurl effect. May be right, but we all know mos loves to roll with a crazy amount of Lbers. I think we will see a lot less rotation of the front 7 this year, and smaller numbers of players at both positions.

In the nfl. Out side of the nfl, arena league guys are playing for macdonalds/walmart money. the spring league doesnt even pay guys, it feeds em and gives them housing. I bet the target cap range for the start up leagues (if they start and play, Id bet every thing i own one fails before launch) is in the cfl salary cap range. iirc manziel has a ton of incentives in his deal. But does rome make 130k for half a year? Maybe he does. Idk I cant stand him. I know a lot of teams and players (vets) are going 1 year deals. I really hope the bombers and star players lock up 2 year deals for the new start ups initial season. The value of a second league to recycle talent is very high. But the lure of playing in the states, with out canadian taxes and diminished power of the dollar could make for a tough couple years here. Id love to see the two leagues merge and run a none or minimal over lap season with about half our cap size.

We used 7 when we did a heavy rotation on the DL and hadnt found our starters. I dont think that is the case this year. Teams carry 6 ol for 5 spots. Also we have some larger LBers that play DE in a pinch. If we still had jake thomas id be all in favor of an extra DL. Marouf may become the extra DL who can back up on the OL as well. Corney might be big enough to be the 4th DT, and thomas miles has the size to back up at end as well.

I wouldnt look too hard at flanders "record". He was on the roster for 10 games last year. He had 4 games with more then 20 yards rushing, and 5 with more then 20 yards receiving. 254 rushing for the year 1 rushing td, 206 receiving with 3 tds through the air. Flanders is a real good football player. He could easily be a starter in the league for a few teams. It isnt worth while to use a DI as a fake out, and we havent used flanders enough for a DI. Need more useage out of him or the position. Who would we take off as an imp to get him on the field now though? We had holes at wr last year we filled with flanders. talent and experience wise we dont have that now. I think roh is gonna win that spot. Actually we do have some very good NI db talent, we just dont have them lined up well. we dont have one who can start and another who can back em up at the same position. I dont think we will carry a DI DL very long, not with corney.

Pretty much. I imagine going into camp itd look some thing like, medlock, wild, fogg, and flanders. Though we could use petermann as a returner, or one of the imp rooks instead of fogg. pressley could steal both the return man and back up imp rb job freeing up another DI spot. We could use our good young NI dbs as the rotational dime etc. We have a ton of flexibility with our DIs and a few rookies who may force their way onto the roster via DI. How much was wild making? thats my only concern with him. As a back up / rotational guy, leader and teams guy he is phenomenal.
-
no doubt, he is probably the best cfl FA pick up weve made since either medlock, or bryant. cant wait to watch him ball.

Eliminian missed 26 games during bighills time in bc. His role changed with systems, as in part mos refereed to today in the presser. He played at time essentially a second shallow saftey over the top of elimimian. He played mid wil was used in a jack roll for a stretch etc. Bighill easy has the speed and strength to excel in any deployment you can ask of him at wil or mac. Jsk we know as a rookie played well at wil. Im a fan of his, but it isnt nearly the first time weve seen a strong debut season at wil that tapers off drastically the next year. We dont really gain any thing if we force jsk to learn mlber adjust and try to continue improving as a second year guy. I think wild will DI and play teams with some package stuff. Though if he is cut in the name of salary cap savings I wont be surprised.

i was, but while that top tier of guys is no doubt better the depth we have now is un paralleled for this franchise. 😁 Yeah its un real. For soo long mlber and ni wr/sb has been a real weak spot for us. Now we are relatively stacked.

according to all reports the track was really slow for testing. petermann at the nfl combine probably would have clocked a high 4.3 40. In past years it would have been a major windfall having any of wolitarski (i know we had him around last year but not at 100%) petermann and simonise. We spent a good bit of development time and draft picks on trying to get talent and athleticism like this. This is easily the best group of NI wrs weve had in my life. + demski is just 25 and if coates is able to get back its an embarrassment of wealth at wr.
-
dont be shallow and pedantic. Take a good look at the lions last year, the OL names and some of the coaches run out by bc. The most critical failure of bad teams is failure to recognize and retain good talent. We saw it with the bombers pre walters et al. And plenty of other teams. Its bc now.
-
That doesnt have the same affect. Many sports fans will be sports hung over from the jets run how ever it ends and the amount of dollars it eats up from the community is high. thomas is interesting. set the nfl combine record for the fastest 3 cone drill. Did really well in agility and jumping drills. And ran a 4.64 40, the slowest at his position, also had the least reps on the bench press of any one who did it. That said he is 185 repping 225 4 times,

We have a ton of guys at ni rb, but i would sitll love a look at shaq. Montreal as always in recent years is a dumpster fire. I wonder if john white couldnt pass his physical. too bad. Always loved the way marshall ran the ball. hes gonna play TCF. I would use him as a Wil/jack line backer rotate him with judge.
-
At this point in time I would have to wonder who else would have that size hole at MLBer and the cap space to make it work. But I have no doubt the reputation around the league for the team is very high. All the years and work spent by mos walters n co building around character has put the team into the best position its been in since the prime milt days. If the jets were not back, this team would have a mile long line up for every last ticket every game.

The first thing to go with age is quickness. Harris isnt reliant on his quicks, he is well rounded. Given his health through out his career I can easily see him being productive in 2 years. But its football and you never know. But as others point out, he could be a starting slot back for more then 2 years with great ease.

😝 idk but that will be the make or break point
-
agree 100%. serendipity.
-
Im not sold on his intangibles. Mental toughness, leadership on the field, ability to manage a pro offense, idk. The physical tools and talents are un deniable. The most talented guy in the league. But also the most flawed. Im not 100% sold on masoli, but Id take him over a fist full of starters league wide. Right now the tigernuaghts are in a great spot qb wise. They dont have to force manziel along. I expect masoli, vernon adams, and manziel start out the season in that order. I wonder if the tiggers have the cash to keep all three for the whole season though. Vernon adams would be very desirable for a lot of teams as a back up. Including us.
-
I could see pressley becoming our new return man / di and working his way into the offense. Big play guy, can return, can catch the ball, and is a good size back.
-
Call this serendipity. If dbag durant hadnt pulled his junk we wouldnt have bighill now. If loffler playing a deep mid field, bighill in the middle rushing the pass, stuffing the run and covering that short - intermediate zone and JSK at WIL, combined with our killer DTs we are as good as any team in the league up the middle. All is well that ends well. And this is a power shifting move for us. We have a db spot or two to iron out, but plenty of vet and talented new comers to fill those spots.

the goltziest of all time.

bingo. pre 3(?) knee surgeries he would have been a real game changer. He showed some real flashes of brilliance too. Also that marvelous mix of him is one of the funniest moments of the era.
-
he was in that fall league and we recently picked one of his team mates up too. Guy had all the arm talent to be a pro qb. Im guessing he didnt fit their mold as much as desired (smart, tough, humble) or had a real mental flaw.
