  1. Im sorry, Id just like to thank you, and god for helping me to get better. Im just gonna go out there, do my best and the rest will take care of it self.
  2. Physical tools are allways the rage with prospect QBs. But it doesnt matter what tool set you have or how good it is if you cant play the position mentally. Throw on top of that running hurry up offenses and at times or even full time calling plays and its an insane positional demand. I dont follow the nfl any more. But to follow that line of questioning I would look back through his era at QBs they have missed the chance to draft. Still have to consider that some guys are just dark horses. And even though you may be a great coach, on the line of a "whisperer", that doesnt mean you are a scout and able to pro rate what a college guy will be able to do in the pros. We brought in and ran out a bunch of dud OLs with wiley. Who I think every one can agree is in that top tier of positional coach. On top of that, you can have a guy with smarts, tool set, drafted by a great scout, under a great coach, but have a severe personality conflict, or guy who isnt very coachable. Its a ton of variables in developing and bringing in talent. Stuff like this may be why our organization has been running through young prospect QBs at a break neck pace.
  3. This is a big point. Personally I have trouble remembering a time when the league had 3 what i would call elite QBs. I certainly dont remember a time that had more then that. But I think you gotta set the break point high, and based on individual performance. I think if you have to question or debate if a QB is elite, they almost certainly arent. No argument over ACs run as an elite qb etc.
  4. This SHOULD be a statement game for us on all sides of the ball. But ive got this admiral ackbarr feeling pretty bad. Yeah its game day, gotta leave it all on the field.
  5. the 1/3rd mark. 7 passers are on track to pass 5k yards. Its early, and the new PI era has conflated things. Other fun on track fors, lulay on track for 6600 passing yards in 18 games of this production. harris on track for 36 tds 9ints, 5500 yards and 3 wins. Harris on track for 849 rushing with 120 catches for 954 yards! How many sacks is victor butler on track for, and how many was he on track for at the 1/6th point? Can we do better? 4th best passer in a 9 team league. Even if nichols steps up and cements him self into the elite tier, I dont think that gets us in the play offs in the west this year. Cross over hype.
  6. Reily and blm are still the elite of the league. Hes still 6th in passing yards and 4th in passing tds. He still puts up some awful halfs of production. But he has certainly moved up in the 2nd tier of qbs. Lulay is on the rise, and ray has risen up but still comes in at the 2nd tier. But Rays injuries and lulays surrounding talent + ratio bring em back to earth a bit. Trevor harris is in that 2nd tier. Hes like the anti nichols. Gets the stats, team still doesnt win. Those two are neck and neck. Elite tier; blm, and reily. 2nd tier; harris, nichols, and ray. 3rd tier; Durant. Lulay , jennings The, "they still have jobs?"(for now) tier. Glenn, and zach collaros.
  7. He has the room to grow, no doubt. A man his size, with his strength and first step is all up side. However despite going back to college he never really polished his technique. His development between the two TCs was low. A year or two ago he would have lasted a year easy on the PR. We are just not in need of national linemen to a point where it makes sense to try and develop him. If he had managed to develop atleast 1 go to move to off set his bull rush hed be in the league on a roster imo.
  8. Its more a thing of we dont have a spot for butcher to develop.
  9. dare to dream. Thats about the position i would expect him to be in tbh. Fajardo, SJ greene, and coombs would be fair. They can even keep their first this year!
  10. Yep, im sure hes allready eyeing coaching jobs in the ncaa for next year.
  11. Tbh im more saddened by not having room for intzandt and butcher to develop then richards finally going.
  12. What ever will we do with out the questionable draft pick NI? More importantly how will we replace his hair?!
  13. This. I think the league / teams need to make it more desirable for COs to stay up here, progress and not go down south to college jobs. Not easy I know but it seems like we have a lack of quality COs in the league and more then a few former coaches who moved up to college jobs down south.

That would be pretty good, pettis is raw but has tons of up side. they been easing him a long for a while. I hope hes mid to bottom half of the main card
  15. I hope reinebold gets another STs job some where in the league. He did a great job for the cats in that role. And hes a guy you just gotta love.
  16. Wild doesnt play mlb or fill the blitz well. Hes not really that guy. Which is too bad. We could really use a LT like stand up pass rusher, who can scrape to the ball and drop back now and then. I agree. I just dont see a better spot to sacrifice at atm. If one of our wrs doesnt pick it up quickly, or dressler stays out maybe drew woli draws in as a 2nd starting NI wr as mentioned in another thread. I worry that with our system short of finding that perfect guy or adapting our system to some one (like bear woods) should another similar quality MLB come available we will see the same problems with different faces.
  17. About as much as starting hurl at MLB. Its more a sign of how we have had to adjust our ratio. Though if denny doesnt re find some of that magic from last year we might be better off with an NI in his place. Which is sad to say as a denny fan. what if they are smart enough to spell toboggan? I dont think we could get a 12 pack of empties for richards and 5 bucks. I read the hardrick piece, another great write up. Only makes you love a guy like that even more. Allways seems to be a positive force and a leader I hope his career here is long and fruitful. Would love to see him move here so his son becomes NI eligible too Hardrick for a dad, track star for a mom, sounds like a promising start.
  18. both imp DTs are too good to be moved down to rotational in place of thomas. The current rotation with thomas coming in and giving us the ability to go extra imp db is the best case scenario. We dont create squat for pressure with our blitz packages, we cant down grade the only source we have of pressure.

Love his attitude and aggression too. Who has that many belt fights with soo few matches? no one even close. I do hope he waits for a bit more seasoning before he wades into the best of the best. He gets soo much better every match hes gonna be crazy in another 10-15. When he went to the corner and baited marriaga it was beautiful. Hes like roberto duran with out the hands of stone meets ali.

I didnt watch the ufc this weekend (yet) hear it was an entertaining card though. I watched the lomanchenko vs marriaga. lomanchenko is one of the most entertaining fighters of any combat sport to watch. I showed some one the fight who never watches any fights from any organizations and he was gob smacked by the matrix.
  21. Hes a blood n guts type guy. A real football player like him, not just an athlete can often be more prone to injuries if you try to protect them. Wild, mo, and hurl is a lot better then what we have now. It wont fix systemic problems, but we arent going to fix those with a player either. Hurl and the MLB spot is one of the biggest i would like to see an upgrade at, but would also be maybe the hardest spot to upgrade by it self. Idk where we would start another NI to go IMP there. And a starting NI mlber thats an upgrade to hurl isnt some thing we can pull out of our butt. Poop, and jeffcoat are way too good to not have as starters. Hey we should have addison richards back him up / rotate too!
  22. Thought about that as well, he has the quickness/speed for sure but at his now 267 weight its not a position he could maintain very long. Bear woods oh wait. Idk what talent would look great at mlb in our system tbh. It been mentioned a few other times in other threads and chats but we could get a cover saftey and have loffler take hurls roll. Have him play more of a mid field / rover position.
  23. oh i dont blame the backs. they looked like world beaters the both of em.
