  1. I wish this got more publicity. We hear soo much about shootings like this, if only a real hero like shell got that much publicity.
  2. Ray and maas swapped halfs. Iirc ray was great in the first half but couldnt finish games so maas would come in and do clean up. Depends a bit on the type of prospect QB. Ross, was a 3 year starter who stole some snaps in his first year as well. Threw for just under 10k yards. 47 games and 41 starts in 4 years. 760/1174 (65%) 72 tds 24 ints. The guy has played tons of football. He has a year of seasoning in BC. If he isnt ready out of this camp he probably wont ever make the jump. For a guy with that much experience (and you can be he was the guy in hs too) its all about how his skill set translates to the pros, and how he adapts to the canadian game. If you arent fast enough to figure it out after a year of watching you wont be fast enough to run the team play to play every game. Streveler is a 2 year starter who stole a few snaps his first year before transfering. At that he took a huge step forward his last year in college. 2/3s of his passing yards came in that year. 23/28 games.
  3. It all depends on your stance of starting a rookie qb. Imo coming off the bench for part of a game is easier then starting. Any mobile qb can come in, run some high percentage pass plays, option / run heavy offense. A lot of football minds are still divided on whether or not a rookie qb can be tossed into the fire. The experienced half pulsers (some of the experienced fas dont even have half a pulse) are pretty known commodities. None are at all likely to come in and turn their career around. They are all stop gap type guys. Cato is the guy id take if i had to. Showed some flashes but played on utterly dismal als teams. I dont think any qb in the league would have made the play offs on those teams. After that bennett for knowing the system, coaches and team. if either were willing to come dirt cheap and we wanted the extra arm in camp Itd be a good fit. But no need to rush to get em imo. I think the next wave of good back up qbs washes through this year. I can see jonathon jennings in bc getting dealt to be a back up. A change of scenery would do him good. Still young enough to turn it around. I think collaros is pushed down to the back up this year as well. either could be available around LD. Ross and streveler have all the talent in the world. Our offense would be a great fit for ross if he had to be forced into action. And streveler is the type of player that when forced in will either have it or not.
  4. Not any one youd really want. bennett would have the familiarity, but I think both our back ups have more talent and potential.
  5. soo many jinxes its un real.
  6. i dont think i could stomach listening to that. thanks for posting it though. I debated over listening to it or not for a while.
  7. Idk how much of it is being dumb, or entitled, or just a crook justifying doing the wrong thing.
  8. What a dbag. just wow. Watch the day they will choose to honor him will be LDC.
  9. I agree these re treads arent the move we should go to now. Thats a worst case scenario to resort to the retread air lift. But its an option. Though maybe a guy like that, comes in hungry to push the young guys. But I think the two young guys we have behind nichols have every thing you could want save for cfl experience. I suspect the route we will go is continually cycling in new rook qbs, maybe some other teams TC cuts to keep these two chomping at the bit. Oh bryan bennett is still kicking about as well.
  10. agree 100%.
  11. Old kick about guys, rakeem cato, mitchell gale, and logan kilgore sat out last year IIRC and could be air lifts. All pretty desperate moves though. Durant can suck a rock. What a guy. That cap space could easily be the difference between us having a starting caliber/experienced MLBer going into camp and us having to move guys around or start a rookie.
  12. You know it. Guy with his hype and skill set comes in hungry look out. I love to see a NI qb get a shot, but this guy seems about as canadian as ben cahoon. Talent wise he seems solid. A few notches behind the rest though. Had a bad feeling about durant when he didnt come to mini camp. What a crumb bum. Hope he returns any money he got. I wonder if nelson comes back now. I think we either end up in an air lift phase looking for quality depth at qb, or end up digging up a guy with half a pulse (or less). Some one like rakeem cato, mitchell gale, logan kilgore etc. I really hope it doesnt end up a guy like fever. Always like cody fajardo but he doesnt have much experience either.
  13. Wow what madden cheat code birthed this guy? 4.81 40, 7.16 3 cone, 4.24 20 yard shuttle, and 38 reps of 225. The tape shows some nicely polished Rip, swim, and spin moves. With his wheels he also looked deadly on twists. http://www.omaha.com/sports/omaha-north-grad-brandin-bryant-s-stock-rises-as-his/article_d84ac589-2988-5ac7-bb4e-0de1188db1c9.html https://www.cbssports.com/fantasy/football/news/brandin-bryant-reaches-injury-settlement-with-jets/?irgwc=1&clickid=xpXzr-RTGQM6TmUy3Qxfp33UUkjyI0w8Ew88S80 I wonder what his injury was, and how he is physically now. Because he looks like a guy who should be in the nfl on paper. Pass rush situations, end in a 3-4 etc. Last year Poop was an incredible force up the middle for us. One of the most disruptive up the gut guys ive seen in a long time up here. Tons of pressures. Brandin bryant shows all that, plus the speed to make plays from behind including tackling everything between the numbers. I hope this guy is good to go sky is the limit.

    UFC

i think they are going to try and push him into being the ufcs first ever 3 division champ. But man idk about that cut for him.
  15. How is that show? 😝 To be fair I thought he was pushed down. Also those rams unis are atrocious.
  16. Nope never did. Also didnt retire. Idk how he falls through the cracks. He is a 27 year old and could be a solid NI starter for atleast 3 teams. Id love to have him back. Im far from sold on faith who is just 2 years younger.

Maybe its the amount of money the ufc sold for, but that doesnt seem like a lot. Not a fan, less accessible to most casuals. I wish they had gotten some thing in the deal to have the quality of the cards be closer to ppv then under under cards. I dont get this fight. Is this to set him up for a title shot at LW? Still the LW division is soo murky, and diaz is not one of the contenders or division elite.
  18. It sure seems like walters is far more open to guys with troubled pasts. I wonder how on board with that MOS is. At the end of season presser last year they didnt seem to be on the same page with some stuff. That flanders prediction better not come true. Oh how i hate it! Nevis, thatd be a huge shocker. If we still had thomas I could see it, but with out Idk. He is the type of high cost imp that could fall victim to cap limits. MOP When i see 5'10 195lbs wr I think, this guy has GOT to have amazing talent/athleticism. Especially to have gotten some play time in the nfl. I hope firlotte becomes the wingman to loffler. On or off the field. Like bill and ted but with awesome hair.
  19. Ill throw out a few other wild predictions for TC as well. I see wild being displaced at LBer. Gause takes the MLB spot, and JSK stays at his WIl spot. This might take a couple weeks and wild may well stick as a DI for his teams work. I think the nastiness of roh takes a starting spot on the DE from ogopogo. I think okpalaugo maybe sits on the IR for a bit, possibly gets dealt. I think one of the rookie wrs makes it very hard for the first few weeks as well. I think one of the rookie imps will be a mainstay starter after a few weeks. I think either speller or spooner leap frog couture and take the T/G job. Displacing neufeld. Foggs last tc here. The rook Nis and demski take over return man work and the DI gets used else where. Petermann and simonise swap starts and reps. Petermann shows more reliability but simonise flashes more brilliance and ends up taking the job. Bingham or sayles becomes the tc mvp hype train that gets derailed and cut after a meh pre season performance. Finally, I think FMB will make the team, if only the PR at first. I dont think medlock is going to be here for many more years. Tldr, a lot of rookie up sets and costly vets sacrificed for cap space going forward.
  20. I like all three guys vying for the spot. Before camp I would have ross with the best chance to be the 3rd string. If all pans out id rather have the athletic ability and size of streveler as the 3rd stringer though. Have him do short yardage, hold, put in some option stuff for him. Have ross on the PR. And that leaves nelson the odd man out. I think it will end up the other way around though. Ross as qb3, streveler on the PR and nelson cut. Samesies. Nelson offers a bit of both worlds, but isnt nearly as good at either. (Running and passing) Has some character issues in the past, which is a kiss of death around here. And they are all really young. 23/24/25. All three could kick around CFL prs for a few years at the least. This is not the old days of scrapping the bottom of the barrel at qb. (remember when we didnt even have a QB coach for soo many years?) All of these guys have NFL level talent and athletic ability. Ross is a bit light, none are sky scrappers but they all have the size to do it. Idk I feel like some how the 1/2 will still come up. Maybe durant doesnt pan out, or gets hurt, or maybe he lights it up in PS. Perhaps im just not able to accept long term stability up and down the depth chart at QB after soo many years though.
  21. What im most looking forward to (other then the off season being over) is the battles at QB, db, and wr. A bunch of very talented athletes for not a lot of spots. mlb/wil should be great battles too.
  22. Looks like lokombo is going back to BC. Feel like we are tight to the cap going into camp. Or to our limit considering PR expansion and air lifts. At the same time I think it wont be too big a problem going forward. We have depth at positions with some larger contracts, (ogopogo, neuf) and a few guys who miss a chunk each year. Either we save money or have some key guys all year. I hope we pick up a big body fb at some point though.
  23. fingers crossed.
  24. too bad the previous best move we made at MLB was not bringing back kuale...
  25. With JSK I think we will have that MLBer. If gause turns out to be a player he has the potential too. But no matter who we start it wont be as bad as kuale, err hurl... I hope? We seem to do a bang up job of picking the worst MLBers possible.
