  1. Right lmao. If collaros goes down, the bombers are still the best team in the league.
  2. Similar, this guy can throw more than 20 yards by the looks of it. Rotating coverage, and keeping the guy off kilter shoulder be pretty easy.
  3. He may have been taking first team reps. If thats the case nothing will happen. If not then they should be fined. https://www.cfl.ca/2021/09/14/bombers-elks-injury-reports-harris-not-participate-tuesdays-practice/ Yep the tuesday practice has nothing about him on the mend. Normally I would be worried about a back up. But we've seen QB changes against our D this year. These guys should not fall for a trap, especially a rookie qb.
  4. 2019 was the year of the return man, 2021 is the year of the back up qb.
  5. he only played a handful of games after transferring to oregon. He was a bust with the ducks.
  6. Interesting. Prukop has bounced around a bit. Backed up for TO for 3 years, cut my cal this year. He really busted out when he went to the ducks. That was my first thought too, but this D is too good to get throw off by a rookie back up qb.
  7. Prukop I think is their no2. taylor Cornelius no3. Taylor is 6'5 235 and a 1 year starter in college. That one year he threw almost 4k yards, ran for 400 more, 32 passing tds 10 rushing. Hes got a big arm, quick release, and good down field touch. Doesnt seem like a guy who can run the short yardage passing game. Pretty young and raw.
  8. RBs signed a blue chip qb project. Its interesting because they have another blue chipper on the PR in taryn christion, and another 23 years old athletic dual threat qb caleb evans. 3 qbs on the PR may be a sign of the impending departure of Nichols. Im a bit surprised they havent scooped up a vet. https://3downnation.com/2021/09/16/ottawa-redblacks-sign-former-nfl-quarterback-devlin-hodges/?utm_source=dlvr.it&utm_medium=facebook&utm_campaign=ottawa-redblacks-sign-former-nfl-quarterback-devlin-hodges
  9. Remember reggie jones, the wr we picked up right before the play offs in 04 and who for 2 or 3 games was putting up tons of yards then disappeared? Idr if it was him, or if it happened again with a WR we picked up off of the argos PR.
  10. Its very unlikely we see any suspensions. Though the guys throwing punches should be imo. I love how the riders started that crap, continued it, and some how its harris' fault.
  11. If you want to feel better at every bomber home game the 5k plus people around the rum hut the whole game are 18 to 35. I see a pretty even split in the stands. Mostly 20 to 30 or 50 plus.
  12. Two wrs at db and Maas cut us up that doesn't make drover bad. He'd a been a solid back up s. A couple of the teams that lost that week complained that it was too soon to go back for weeks. Was pretty sad. Remember wade Miller going off sides on purpose because out side of the 3m warning they just kept restarting the game clock lol. He killed like half a 3rd quarter into the wind. The next week they adjusted it when he tried it again and stopped the clock til the snap.
  13. Waiting for an update or to see grant on the limited list. We are trending in the right direction though heading to our bye weeks. Feel like every one else has pretty much had a bye but us.
  14. Kickers are almost always like that. Especially if they kick and punt. They are a strange breed. You just cant keep a kicker at sub westwood levels of accuracy in modern football. Sure, they might bounce back. And a QB who plays the whole year and complete 40% of his passes with 2-3 picks a game might improve. But you cant keep starting them. Thats how you end up with a westwood kicker. Just because a guy can improve doesnt mean he will and some times, getting cut and a change of scenery is what guys need. We never really saw enough of Brian Bennett to see all he could do. Should we bench zach and bring him back? People around here are quick to say our WRs arent good enough. But this kicker whose doin real bad lets stick that out. If youre an out of the run team it doesnt hurt to keep a struggling young player out there. If youre a contender it does. And legs isnt getting cut.
  15. Glad they are tryin. Maybe in the back half. Or the play off push.
  16. You can complete a 5 yard pass at a 70% rate in the cfl. Kicking at 100% for 1 point instead is questionable but understandable. At 75-80% it makes no sense to kick it.
  17. Idk about the XFL counting, but he dressed for 2 NFL games in 2018 and that makes him ineligible as I understand it. Other wise yeah he'd be a slam dunk winner.
  18. We have the 2nd worst FG % in the league. Hamilton is the only team with a worse fg% than us. BC who started for two weeks the worst kicker in the league, is 3 spots ahead of us. Yamasaki in BC 2 weeks 4/8 fgs 1/2 xpt. legs 2 games 1/4 in fgs and 5/8 for the year on xpts. To further put that into context Crappy was 3/5 and 7/7. Domagala is 6/8 on the season. Paredes, lauther, whyte, ward, bede, cote and camacho have 1 miss in a combined 54 attempts. in the entire 19 season, medlock missed 1, whyte missed 2, lirim missed 2, paredes missed 1, ward missed 2, castillo missed 2, lauther missed 4, crappy missed 1, and bede missed 2. Missing 3 in 3 games is bad. Tldr our fg/XPT this year might not be the the worst in the league, but it is solidly in the very bottom tier. I dont think any un fair comparisons are being made. I could tear into his net yards punting, kick offs and regular shanks too. The kid needs to be taken off the burner and given limited duties for a bit. You just cant be below the westwood line in kicking during the modern era.
  19. I shouldve just written bighill instead of biggie for clarity. Hes been a monster again this year. Id say even better than the year before last. For ROTY, I know Nichols doesnt count. He played in the NFL a couple games and then the XFL which I think counts. I dont know if sayles counts due to also NFL PR time and AAFL and XFL play. But Alford I guess would be our top ROTY candidate. For a 23 year old rookie in the truest sense of the word what he's doing is nuts.
  20. He actually reminded me a lot of jamie stoddard to talk with but yeah he had no lack of confidence. Atleast until the drops struck. Geoff drover though, I always thought he was a good guy. And the couple games he played DB for us he actually played pretty well. That also reminds me of eric wilson playing both ways for us. That guy was a beast.
  21. Playing ott 4 times is going to pad VA's stats and record. Other wise It really should be between collaros and one of our defenders, biggie WJ or JJ.
  22. Warner 1.0 was a beast at end. Warner in 06 with brown was solid. Guy came back too big. Like 285 lbs. Its too bad brown, warner, and denny fortney didnt play together. Thatd be a pretty good fight vs this dl. s2 was pretty good. K9 wouldve been a lot better if he didnt become kamau incompletterson here. Ryland wickmans dad was cool. Didnt we have some ones mom at one point too? I dont think that one ended well lol.
  23. Things have been really quiet in reference to agudosi. He's such an exceptional miss match candidate. On top of being freakishly big and long, he's got tremendous jumping, and agility/quickness numbers. A decent 40 time for his size too. No one who reports on the bombers talks about how these guys do in camp or practice much any more. Maybe they view him as a long term project, he didnt see a lot of reps in college. But the best teacher is play time. Id love to see a 5'10 db cover him at 6'6 with a long reach 10' plus broad and 40" plus vert. His catch radius must be as big as a redwood tree.
  24. This. Also, we were out coached and executed which is heavily coaching reliant. More than just out played.
  25. I think its just a question of when he is healthy and sharp. Gotta remember he is still 28 years old.
