  1. No its still considered Sts. Same as driving down the field punting and pinning the other team deep.
  2. Biased claims based on vague notions seldom hold up well to facts and stats. If frederick didnt have that pick to save the game and we went on the lose people would be roasting nichols for his inability to score in the red zone and clamoring how he was carried by the OL and run game against the worst defense in the league and that willy would have won the game. Or davis, or some qb from another team that we totally should have had the fore sight to pick up because hind sight and fore sight are equal right?
  3. No they werent. Ac was cut by hammer and we along with most teams didnt have interest in him as a back up. Damon allen lost his starting job and despite a long career in bc was let go with few teams interested as well. Ray had a poor 2010 and a solid bounce back in 2011. His trade was more of a surprise but his best production seemed behind him and in good part due to great pieces around him. Those are just situations off the top of my head that prove your point wrong. Buck pierce, casey printers, marcus crandell and more all had the exact opposite of what you claim happen too. He is in the same league literally. You think a 5 game win streak doesnt put him in the same level as other starters that struggled on under achieving teams and went on to a great deal of success, yet you think one good game against the worst D in the league means Nichols is better? pot meet kettle.
  4. what history is that? Tons of qbs leave teams labeled as done to perform at a high level. Ac, ricky ray, damon allen, etc. Letting go of a guy that age range whose been productive because they under performed in a under performing situation is a good way to re ignite a player.
  5. You mean the two guys who have been trading being banged up all season? And the same dressler nichols hung out to dry? A side from dressler's first few plays here jace davis out performed him catching the ball and so did harris. Both of whom got very little to no use from nichols. Both those smith and dressler have combined for a ton of drops including atleast 2 bad drops in the end zone. Let me put it into perspective. bowman is 37/54 on catching for 69% as the biggest dropper in the league on a team thats been tied for the most proliffic passing offense in the league so far this year. dressler 32/45 71% smith19/27 70%. Jace davis 76% harris is 30/36 for 83% darvin adams 36/53 68% the top 10 wrs in the league by yards not including adams and bowman are 256/297 for 86%. Drew willy completed 72% of his passes (league average of the top 10 passers is 70% with trevor harris 68% with out his incredible efficiency) this year which is very good, but not surprising with our very short possession passing game plan. And yet STILL we have by far the worst wr catch rate in the league. Basically all our pass catchers aside from harris are living in the bowman zone with out the explosive long plays.
  6. no, but he may become more successful. Better players do not allways prevail in football even at the qb position.
  7. yep he was a monster too. I mean if memory serves correct armstrong had 8+ sacks couple picks and a ton of tackles for a loss but was replaced with out any one batting an eye. Any one hear if he pulled through or not yet?
  8. havent re watched yet ill keep an eye out for that. But we do use a S blitz package with macho due to his athletic ability. He does also have a tendancy to bite early on plays. Loffler really seems to play mid field well and focus on pass pro and not stopping the run soo much. But then edm runs about as often as a 500 lbs neck beard so it could have just been the strategy for edm.
  9. no i forgot to mention edmonton in that. the 3 two win teams and the riders.
  10. he was. Those two playing on the field at the same time could be crazy if he keeps it up. As deep as our corners play, he could play HB xD
  11. probably day to day like every other injured player on the team. xD
  12. I dont think theyd put that much value on macho. Hes great as a back up DB for package use, teams and leadership but not a guy who should see a lot of regular duty.
  13. im sure atleast one person out side of dirty old regina is.
  14. KG left milt in some bad situations more times then i can count. Thats the life of a slot back. And why for soo long the nfl slot wr was a tight end.
  15. its the riders, dont you know thats canadas team? Idr the last team they were under rated.
  16. If we followed that pattern we'd have 5 wins by week 11/12. We'd finish with atleast 8 wins. If ott runs away with the east they could be packed up for the last 2 games and we could win both in theory. Which would put us at 9. Burris starts this week.
  17. Considering how good the edm pass game is It makes these two's performance soo much more impressive then face value. Im going to re watch the game as soon as its up on YT to review, but from what i saw and heard on OB frederick's coverage was blanket tight. On top of that the game saving pick. Was huge. Loffler was in the pocket and ear any one over the middle all night. Especially bowman. Most other elite wr's would have made atleast 2 catches over the middle bowman whiffed on. But they may not have held on to them. Its great to have a strong cover saftey, one who hits like a truck is a bonus. But what really impressed me was his swagger and poise. He was comfortable back there and not one bit out of place. If either guy plays like this even most of the rest of the season they will be our candidate for ROTY.
  18. Yeah have to contain optimism some what. Edm D is worse then our O has been. But there O is deadily which really makes what loffler and fredericks did soo much more impressive. I especially loved lofflers swagger.
  19. Between these two and us one team makes the play offs. The toilet bowl if you will. I kid i kid we have lots of time to turn it around. But if we dont get swept by any team in the season series and ottawa runs away with the east we could be looking at atleast 1 gimmie game in the end of the season to try and make the play offs.
  20. yeah he was a monster. Wanted a big deal but the bombers went with the young up and comer ryland wickman. Soo sad I hope he pulls through.
  21. Not nearly as him never looking at or throwing to harris.
