  1. Thats true. The couple good off seasons in a row as left us in a position with better NI depth then weve had in many years. We have more NI starters then even, with depth behind them, and development guys behind them. Willy injuries, OL play, and offensive play calling has held us back these seasons under walters. Those will also be the key point to success this season. But we are as prepared for all 3 as we can be.
  2. my favorite is still procedure mon re al entire line...
  3. In that case i imagine we are mostly done adding players till perhaps cut down days. (if other teams cut some one we are interested in) Id say we really won the off season, now if only we can translate that into a winning regular season.
  4. I think thats why they keep expanding review. Rather slow the game down, especially late and get the call right then have calls cost games. Personally, I think we need more refs. There is soo much to watch especially with the big field, but that said some stuff especially on the line needs to be let go. The cfl has shown great willingness to try different things to get games right and make them more entertaining. As long as they continue on that path I think the cfl reffing will be in a great spot a few years down the road.
  5. Thats the life of a ref. Any sport, any league or level. I will say that in the past 16 years the reffing has improved 10000x. The cfls refs last year did a better job then the NBA refs have done this post season, and are generally better then the umps strike zone in baseball.
  6. challenge accepted xD I wonder if we grab any UDFA from the cis draft.
  7. Yep, thats true. But you dont see guys in camp in the NFL for the returner spot who doesnt have that skill set. TBH i think they prefer returners who have the head for it and make the most of easy yards rather then high risk/reward returners but thats just me.
  8. thats true of the draftees mostly. but waggoner doesnt fall under that. A year of practices, STs some game time on D, and a full TC is huge.
  9. we also arent supposed to S*** on players based on very little. Waggoner has shown some flashes and has a year of learning under his belt. Loffler has had none of that and has had several serious injury problems. Even walters said that hes a prospect and a guy that maybe can contribute on teams this year.
  10. probably just a KR, and a body to sub in if they need some one for wr/db drills as needed.
  11. He was picked kinda quick, but a guy with that mix of toughness, athletic ability, and intangibles im just looking forward to seeing him in camp. If any thing not grabbing lalama when both our last picks would be available as free agents is a bit puzzling. But im not complaining.

  14. He was high up on the cfl's list too. Idk why he fell, weight perhaps. But he looks like a huge steal.
  15. Corney First video he jumps out of the pool. Couldnt find the other one i saw where he does it backwards too. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SS-jYUm6pug High lights. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=M4fJHFCgQOc Couture high lights https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YlAOF1m57-I
  16. 9th Trent corney DL virginia 6'3 255. Crazy gifted athlete was considered a threat to be a late pick in the nfl, some how not even a UDFA signee. 4.6 flat speed the video of him jumping out of the pool forwards and backwards is jaw dropping. 10th Michael couture OL simon fraser. 6'4 292. Was considered undersized and in need of mass. Played around 280 in college. Was pretty versatile and played all positions along the line in college. 19th Taylor loffler DB UBC 6'3 218 Was at boise state missed 2 years with hip and knee injuries before ending up at UBC. Big, athletic had to fight for draft eligibility. Combine numbers werent great, but seems to play fast rather then be a combine guy. 28th Shane gauthier LB Laval 5'10 223. 4.6 40 all around good mix of intangibles and athletic skill. Not huge, but i could see him making an impact on teams right away. 37th Zachary Intzandt OL Mcmaster 6'4 303lbs Dont know alot other then he went through a position change. 46th Rupert Butcher DL Western ontario 6'4 327. Combine monster, wrecked people in the 1 on 1s. 55th Alex Vitt SB U of M 6'1 205. Local guy who had a solid year for the bisons 31 catches 728 yards and 4 scores. Didnt see alot of production in the back half of the year though. 63rd Frank renaud LB Windsor 6'1 215. Played in the shrine bowl last year, hard work guy with a nose for the football. Any one have any more info on these guys? Grade A draft in my books. We got a great mix of guys with potential to start, we got Athleticism, and some guys who can make and impact on teams.
  17. Right on the first two. Soo wrong on gagnon. Though i wouldnt change a thing about this draft. Our top 3 picks are killer. And another miss on who takes onyemata. I dont think he ever ends up in the cfl but thats just me. 50% on my pics but i think the first two were gimmies xD
  18. If history repeats it self, ottawa grabs him lol.
  19. judging by how we draft he will fall to us and we will take an ol projected to go in the 5th round xD
  20. sweet jesus they cant re draft addison richards again can they?! xD
  21. now that is the safest bet in the cfl draft xD some people will be up set with our pick
  22. The cfl draft is any thing but predictable but I thought it might be fun to take some shots in the dark. Does the first over all pick get traded? Who goes first? Who do the blue take? Im guessing the first over all pick doesnt get traded. Im thinking st.john goes first over all. I think the bombers take gagnon with our first pick in the 2nd. (hope as much as think) Im also gonna say ottawa gambles and takes onyemata's rights.
  23. No kidding. Happy for him though. Hope he does well.
  24. More the average cfl qb prospect imop. Intangibles are nice, and he has solid athletic ability but i dont think he's that type of guy you groom for a few years with no more then pre season action.
