All great news. Wild as a full time teams guy could be a big help, and if Mo can get back to his MOP form our D goes up to maybe the best in the league.

that must be why cjob still has the exact same radio adds from back in 95. ab a l o n aaabbbaalooon. I think we will see some quick changes mid game. streveler with an option package. If we use him as our short yardage option too we could pull out some trick plays. I think we end up with an active 2qb system.

I think he is burned out as a WR. But I think he could still have juice left just as a return man. As important as speed/quickness is (which diminishes with age and he has certainly lost a bit) The ability to read blocks, consistently get under and catch punts and use angles correctly is more important. Maybe he is too far gone even for for just returning kicks. But Id still take a look, if he was healthy and cheap. (I am biased, I was a fan of his since his hawaii days) -
I think you got it for now any way. I dont think lankford finishes the year here (think/hope.) And I could see flanders being replaced with all the threats we have on offense. We could use petermann and demski in the exact same role and free up a DI spot. Maybe wild when he is healthy, or fogg when MO is healthy. We might also end up moving an IMP de. I really think corney is ready to take a much bigger role on our D. We could use thomas and corney to rotate our DL and start another nuck AND free up a DI spot.

I remember us passing on parker and being sad about it. I thought coehoorn would have been better as well. Sinopoli converted from qb yeah? The most successful wr drafted in a long while too. Still like JFG too. Blood n guts football player. -

damn kids get off my lawn! If he was healthy I wouldnt mind looking at chad owens to fill the gaps in our return game. -
That isnt gonna be pretty. I dont like collaros or the riders, but the thought of it is cringe worthy. ZC should be the most nervous man in canada right now.

Yep, but that still doesnt help the returner spot. Imo morgan is a good player with plenty of up side. But the drop off from one of our imps in coverage and morgan is big. Jones is starter quality imo, but if we play him as a corner in nickle/dime situations we suddenly dont have a back up S any more. If he or loffler got hurt we'd lose that or be in even bigger ratio trouble. -

the PR doesnt help you in game. You may have noticed we cut branning and conteh. We will likely have 4 starters + the sam + loffler, +1 DI on the game roster. + morgan/jones. Meaning we will be spread too thin to have both return duties done by DBs. The exposure to injury, and all that extra running through out the game would leave one starter and our dime on weary legs late in games. And not too likely to play a full season. How many of those DBs are returners? I dont recall any returning kicks or punts in the pre season. Sayles doesnt come with a return pedigree. Priester also doesnt, but also doesnt really have the return man athletic tool set. Cooper has the tool set but not the experience. Both are more kick cover guys then return guys. Kenbrell thompkins returned 4 kick offs in the nfl for 15 yard average. Basically as an up man on a short kick. -

yes but it is often very hard to see before football is over. Often even a while after its over. -

fogg returns punts. Cant have a starting DB do double duties full time, thats how you burn a guy out. What db do we have thats also a return man aside from fogg on the active roster? having two Dbs with soo few spots for depth dbs and the amount of work those depth dbs get called on to do is also a bad idea. Its too much work load. If any thing Id look at petermann demski and simonise doing it but we didnt give them any reps returning kicks/punts. -

Thats a possibility, but a good 28 year old NI wr retiring rather then playing in another city is beyond me. -

From what the 10 or less regular season reps and 3 quarters of pre season or less? Still too soon. Willy wasnt indecisive. He was check down happy. Behind a porous OL you almost never have a chance to be indecisive. Which again, ross was dealing with as well in the last pre season game behind our team 3 OL. Bennett chucked up one of the worst deep balls in history and got bailed out by a wr. Bot of them also played against BCs team 2 and lower. -

I feel the same way. And mentioned in the game day chat that If i am that player and its my qb / star player gonna be lit up Ill take the penalty. From a coaching stand point its a penalty id accept being taken every time too. -

1, remember pre injury when willy was throwing us back into games and leading us from behind to wins? 2 far too soon to call ross any one or any thing. 3 far too soon to compare him to some one who is primarily remember for playing with shell shock. -
That was really the one case of bad ball protection from him. And in that play, to be fair the OL played like he was darian durant. Ross or streveler (most likely both) will have to first and foremost protect the ball. That and limit going 2 and out. I feel like ross is gonna be the guy to drive the field and start the game while streveler is the one to finish games and drives.

last year we'd a been chomping at the bit to sign him. Good player he is gonna catch on some place. Maybe the riders. Id a kept randle and white around on the pr. With the injury history of demski, dressler, and adams + the drops/bad year last year by bowman Id rather be stocked up at WR then any other position right now. I also would have kept monty. This is true, and bowman has always been a guy who misses a lot of passes. BUT he is the perfect red zone fit for us. And we dont need him to go for 2k yards. -

Its the yankees rule about TRUE yankees. And its also idiotic. On our DL, he brought in poop and jeffcoat right? and a few guys this year that could well end up starting on other teams. Jsk. bond and hardrick he salvaged from other teams scrap heaps into all stars so they dont count. Loffler, chungh, goosen, the massive amount of talent we suddenly have at ni WR, corney, etc also dont count though. Cus its not like he took the worst NI depth in 20+ years and turned it into an elite group of NI talent, and that isnt the same as us guys. We cut better import players then some teams bring in. -
Its true. They also need deep cover help and as much aid in covering seams as possible. We have the personnel to make that work now. But imo, passive defense is bad defense. (and football in general)

he was the guy I hoped we would grab, it was a weak top end to that draft though. -
mos cant/wont make the tough veteran cuts. Who knows what lapo would do. with the addition of bighill, addition by subtraction of hurl and improvements from second year guys and the crazy deep DL the defense is well positioned to carry hall.

I dont like the alexander cut. smacks of when we cut frederick. Good db but we go for a so so db and a so so STs guy. Monty, awoleke, and casher did every thing you could hope for. 1, how we cut them and keep brandin bryant (didnt mos say pre season games counts for more the TC?) is beyond me. We bring in guys, never play them in the pre season and cut them after the pre season. Just wasting time and resources. If we cut ogopogo who was easily out performed by montgomery and earns a TON more money we would be better, younger and on the path to freeing up room to bring back bond. is judge in camp with the riders? -

well right now hardrick is injured so he'd come in and we'd start a NI tackle like couture. Long term probably a rotation yeah. Or a NI db.
