  1. I imagine it'd be some thing like a body or a neg lister a 2nd to 4th rounder and a conditional first if he re signs with ott. I think ham would need a piece this year to justify the trade. Hence the nl or body. I wonder what ott would give for gray.
  2. Thatd be a good move too. Good chance he's burned toast. But he should take an extended period to build his arm up again. If he is 100 percent recovered no way he's 100 percent strength and conditioning
  3. True especially if the dl have to chase a mobile qb. Rose and Sayles are both deceptively fast guys for dts. I hate not having an extra db. 1 injury away from danger and either a Hallett covers as the dime or ba shifts over. Tobi has been getting more and more reps at end which I don't really get vs at wil. They must love him. Mos frequently falls in love with some fringe player though usually they start and are more of an issue. So if Mos guy this year is a versatile back up end that's not bad.
  4. No way dumping arbuckle after trading for him and picking up nichols is on him. zero chance. Not only did he trade for arbuckle, he then gave up the added conditional pick to resign him. Only to sign nichols and cut arbuckle. IF any thing desjardins is prone to sitting on expensive back up qbs.
  5. I dont get why more teams arent game planning better for him. It really boggles my mind. My biggest worry is that we dont play him smart, but we did in the play offs so should be a good chance. Powell needs a lot of touches to be his best and he isnt getting it, hes never been a threat to bust a big run and now hes not even a guy who picks up 5 each time. He only looked decent against hamilton other wise hes looked pretty awful. I dont see ssk doing what toronto did with motion to open up their run game against us.
  6. You can evaluate plop on his decision to dump arbuckle and pass on MBT for matt nichols and for bringing in flanders and making him the incumbent starter. Also for not pulling nichols sooner 3 games 370 total passing yards 0 tds and a couple picks with no improvement. Also for marrying dom davis as the back up. Those are all pretty damning moves. Taryn christion is a a blue chip developmental QB (a faster streveler with a bigger arm), but hes not gonna be ready this year. So even with nichols pulled (hopefully for good) they need to go find a qb who can back up and replace davis as needed.
  7. Usually its LBers, this year its DL. Id for sure sit antigha for an extra DB though, and bench nelson to try another returner. Rolling 4 deep at DT might be a scheme for fajardo. We used some exotic fronts last week. And we frequently use a 30 front and 3 de 4 man front. Almost no chance hes a healthy scratch, thats grays job. We arent gonna leave gray or eli on the PR to be snatched up. Thats what he wants imo. His biggest threats are timing routes and running. Id rather do the opposite. Play contain, and show then drop. The best way to take away his timing routes is to have a layer of defenders under the seams. Make him go off his hot route, read the defense and sit in a longer pocket knowing our front will get pressure on a longer drop. The only blitz I would throw at him is a cb blitz from the blind side. Or a delay blitz with BA. A violent hitter he wont see coming and who he cant just out run. We actually rotated him out last week a lot with guathier and briggs on the field at the same time. Walker and sayles up the middle.
  8. Nichols instead of Arbuckle is 100 percent plop. Same with Flanders. With Arbuckle ott would make the play offs in the east imo. The bench always makes qbs look better. Davis problem isn't with arm talent though. He just isn't capable of making good reads and progressions. When a team can prepare for him they have a chance to get a lot of picks. I wonder if they try to go after mbt or Maier. Both teams could use an extra first rounder next year. 30 front is really under rated for generating pressure imo
  9. They have 1 rushing td in 3 games and none passing. So I think they are due for a break out game. The RB offense will start inside the red zone after a big return. Nichols will throw a pick at the 1 which will be fumbled rj harris recovers it and scores a td. Next in the last 3 minutes down by approximately 107 points nichols will be pulled and davis put in. Who will fumble the snap, dedmon picks it up and runs 75 yards for a td. Finally vaj will turn the wrong way to hand the ball off, and will instead hand the ball directly to a RBs DE who runs it in for a td. Finaly score 222-21. Plop will say they scored enough to win and just need to tighten up the defense. He still wont get fired though because every one else above his pay grade is too busy trying to find new jobs and all their fans are made of cardboard.
  10. I wish we could get some updates on guys like kyrie stove and rocquemore.
  11. Hey they also barely beat BC and beat the RBs by 13. Those are two pretty good teams...😆 Rfs are some thing else.
  12. We have had to scrape and claw lots this year. The riders have coasted after offensive surges. If we can stay close early we got it. But man I hope we coach and execute well. Soft deep zone isn't gonna get it done. We know what the riders do on offense. Timing routes attacking seams. Fajardo improvising. Basic run call. Teams can and will adapt to the same timing routes. I hope it's us first. I feel like it'll be the fewest greenies in the stands ever for a bjb
  13. Only a matter of time. I have a feeling actually that Fajardo won't come out of the bjb and ldc un scaythed
  14. Yeah the riders fan base isn't gonna grow either. It's wasted energy. If any thing they should be all over Toronto right now. They have a good team and good coaches and had a good win over us. Or even Montreal. I can't wait to see them in their next down swing playing upfront of 18k people again.
  15. The cfl media is soo click baity and desperate to pander to the riders fans it's pathetic. Tsn and cfl media is a major obstacle to growing the leagues reach in the younger demographic.
  16. He should be some kind of honorary marshal or some thing at every bjb.
  17. No joke what a horrible decision the pa might step in and try and get them to change it. That's gonna be hell for the players.
  18. Unless some other guys aren't able to go I think you're right. Doesn't make sense
  19. All your wildest dream is missing is us winning next year in Regina too.
  20. No joke. They better not screw up ldc and bjb or our season after that with covid. We better be checking players claims too. No one should just be asking and go oh ok. I expect much better from us and around the league.
  21. Well put. Kelly for embarrassment reinbold for quality of team and play. Taman was a really good scout imop who was kind of a reach as a gm. I think I recall that. It's too bad he was a great defensive coach. But as a hc that even went out the window. He's a guy who should've never taken a Hc job. If he hadn't he'd still be working in the cfl. But you can't employ a guy like that who just gave up. Daley was like a poor man's reinbold.
  22. So on 3dn dicker in ssk said they are close to the 85 percent number but that they haven't verified any vaccinations at all and is just hoping they are all being honest. Yikes.
  23. At trueblue. Those are the same low points I have but with a slight adjustment. For me the dark ages of the reinbold era was the baddest. Thing is though i actually really liked Jeff. He was a guy you wanted to win and win with. Knowledgeable hard working passionate. He is a great dude. I'm very happy he's doing well in Hamilton. That era seemed hopeless. Like we were a d4 team playing top tier d1. And it nearly killed the franchise. Mike Kelly wasn't as bad an era team but he was the worst guy to be a bomber hc. I truly hated him. I watched the games and that was it. Mack offered at first a slight hope for being better. In the end he was just a different flavor of egomaniac. He'd rather be right than win. American expansion also generated a lot of low points for me. From Dunnigan leaving to Baltimore winning. We had some good teams in the us era but man I hated it. Atleast in the Ritchie era it felt like we had the right people running the team.
  24. What's worse is we had finally found some speed last year and never made good use of it. Whats strange is our core isn't fast but also it isnt a big core either. Woli is huge agudosi is tall and Lawler has very good size. But for the most part we don't find quick fast or big wrs.
  25. As with Nichols stats don't tell the whole story. The system he's in and his proficiency in that system with the weapons he had conflate his numbers. His accuracy and decision making wasn't not good. The down fall didn't just start.
