Rookie QBs are weird. Some times kids are just ready right away. They come with the mentality and soft skills that it takes. Other times, they really need 2 TCs and a year on the bench to develop that stuff. Or even longer. I feel like if wilson didn't have that stuff, they would've brought in dole or another cut vet earlier and sat wilson on the PR.

I do like wilson, imo, grainger has even more potential. But wilson has a good mix of polish and potential. Grainger might need a full tc and then a year to be as ready as he will ever get. Wilson looked a lot like brown but a bit more athletic. Grainger, looks like a human cheat code. The only thing I don't like about grainger is the slight hitch / reach back on his throws. But with some coaching he could end up with a quick delivery.

That isn't surprising, but it isn't even the average that is important. We just need to take away the open gaps where backs walk to big plays. We can Give em 5 a carry. If they don't break big runs, our secondary can do what it does.

Every qb on our AR and PR has thrown a ball in the CFL. Dole has the most experience for sure, but also the least potential. If all the qbs on the roster were reduced to the smallest height and weight of the group, dole would be the only guy never to play in the pros. Best case scenario, we have a full game of shut down ball at the end of the year. Instead of start/finish roster you have the none rest players start the first half then the 2nd half. But not play the 3rd or 4th. Then you have Wilson and dole play quarters 1/3. If the starter is hot, they play more of the 2nd, if not you sub early. Then for the 4th, you hand it to the 3rd qb. If grainger is ready with the system and game I'd go with him. If not, then Scott. Between Dole and wilson who gives us the best chance to win if zach goes down? Depends on wilson really. I would suspect dole would with passing, but if wilson has developed much since the pre season it wouldn't take a lot for him to pass dole as a passer imo.

Both mac and wil are pretty interchangeable in the CFL these days, though for us, we sub the wil for a dime around half the time. Imo it's almost like an extra DI with rotational D use. Needs to be some one versatile on the d, and who plays really well on teams. I think the clear exception for a mac/wil especially for us, is if they are a ratio breaker.

Yeah I never know what to expect with kyrie. He can’t stay healthy and takes a bit to get back into form. Don’t mind bringing him back on a team deal he probably sits on 6game once or twice. Biggie could be a player coach if they are willing to limit his on field role. Yeah let friggin Castillo punt and find rotational/teams global. Don’t need teams guys with valuable picks any more. Think we can pick a mix of bpa and lines. I think a guy like Wallace could be groomed as a rt, or even another guy at that level in the draft.

Yup. Could really use a tackle box defender with size like Thomas or one of the cuts. But a lot of the heavy lifting for next years camp will be retention. I’d really like to see the ends get looks and sit haba. Thomas/kyrie/biggie subtraction should hopefully be academic.

Eh we’d be ok. Griffin would go to that spot, then Cole would fill the coverage wil role. He was doing it early in the season. After that Kelly goes in and we slide guys around, or Ayer’s goes in and we slide Cole, who played Sam and S in camp and pre season. After than nick goes in at S. all in all that’s probably the most db depth in the league. ol injury is the concern, unless it’s at C. Same id like to see him get some snaps at wr too I think he can be an impact guy. bond, Nichols, griffin, ford is the best db group in a long time. And that’s saying some thing. I wonder if griffin will be the heir apparent for ba eventually. We’ve got soo much versatility in the back field and depth it’s nutty.

100%. That is my favorite play to see from a DL. That means not only does the guy have the athleticism to do that, but the relentless motor to succeed in general. Tom canada was a high motor guy too. Our better finds among imp DTs have been those types. Bryant, stove, sayles etc. Especially the good 3 tech types. And slants. Oh man did he used to carve us up baaad throwing 10-15 yard slants at the seams.

That’s true. I think bc and Hamilton at times this year have had the flexibility as well. I do agree, and at this point I’d prioritize ol pass pro ratio wise. We won the ships based around line play. For some reason we’ve gotten away from that.

100%. Delayed rb wheel routes are a huge opportunity. In general, pass catching rbs are extremely valuable in all levels and leagues. And yeah, the whole point of match cover is to keep every thing in front of you, cover the seams, and let athletes come up and make plays. Force the offence to make consecutive great plays to keep the ball moving and make significant field position gains.
