Its hard to say where our finances are exactly right now. I feel like we have saved money with the free agency changes, but I might be wrong. If one thing is for sure, the team is very fiscally conservative, I dont think they will go deep into the cap to the point we cant fly in the air lift rookies when the PR expands. I feel like we could have afforded bear woods last year at a similar expense and didnt give much consideration to it. If henoc was an imp, I dont think hed be getting soo much consideration.

Jeremiah johnson (5), tyrell sutton (5), cj gable (6) Also cam marshall has 3 years technically, but played in one game his first year with us. IIRC he was in camp with us at the end of the previous year and all that year on the pr. I might be wrong though, its iffy either way. William powell has played in 2 seasons, but i believe missed the entire 13 and 16 seasons. Having been around for 4 but only played in 2. Masoli is the 10th highest rusher, and clearly a qb of 5 years. Only Alex green with the cats and wilder were rookies. Interesting aberrations below that include brandon whitaker (9 seasons) Mossis madu (3) and Brandon rutley (5). It seems like once a RB shows a flash of any thing up here, they stick and float around up here a long time now. Certianly in that lower tier of sub 500 yard guys you find a fist full of rookies and short term try out guys. But looking at how long powell has been around for how much he has actually played is pretty crazy. Id expect that level of hanging on to a qb not soo much a rb.

If you could combine wilders athleticism and size with every thing else harris, youd have an nfl hofer. With the further division of carries I certainly wouldnt take that bet. Id bet that he is either let go to pursue nfl chances next off season, or throws and even bigger tantrum though. I might avatar bet that he never plays 3 full cfl seasons. He has the best physical tools of any back in the league. Including trent richardson. But those two have the biggest questions other wise. I love big athletic backs. And bruising runners in general. But I worry about a big rb that is soo hesitant to consistently lower the shoudler when hitting the line of scrimmage, little on with contact.

Id rahter cut roh and draft more futures guys (like gray, FMB etc) We have had a few very high potential DEs who amounted to nothing up here. 2 years ago that guy from bama for instance. Even shayon green showed well in camp, and has some great measurables. In his first 2 years with the argos (before spending 2 years down south) He put up a combined 23 sacks, 2 pics 5 forced fumbles and 55 tackles. If it wasnt for his calgary game, Id be on board with jettisoning him. But he showed that next level dominance. I think with less rotation / sitting and the rust fully shaken off He is too good to give up on. Not if we can help it. The way we defend the pass we need all the pass rush we can get.

Certainly light on names, holloway pulling out and ortega not wanting to skip up to him on short notice hurt the star power a lot. The event was better quality then many in the last year though. I wasnt scoring tbh, ive been a fan for a long time i was excited for derns ufc debut. Mm thats not what i recall, after the previous year, in which he lost the starting position he came for Im sure he got a bit smaller deal. But its tough to say with cfl deals. Murky to say the least. He is. He mostly played teams early on, but especially the last year here he played like a man on fire. You cant play side line to side line in the cfl, but he was as close as it gets. Fiery guys like that bring a lot to a team, especially the front 7 of a defense.

Iirc hurls deal was 80k wasnt it? 2.5x (ish) more money for 10x more player. The last two years we have given up soo many back breaking runs. 2nd and long, teams backed into corners where they cant pass (bc) and we've just gotten rolled over by the run. Henoc changes and compensates for a whole lot of that. Instead of trying to hide our MLBer, we can have one that covers up issues, fills gaps, and makes the hard 1 on 1 tackles.
