Oh i dont think we will carry all those DTs. I should have added jake thomas to that. If poop ends up on the roster, it probably spells the end for one of the three candian DTs. Namely butcher if some one is straight up cut. Maybe some one goes to the PR and some one hides on the IR though. And yeah jeffcoat looks like a keeper too. Some real long nights in store for the coaches, walters etc.

With 1 game done, 1 game to go and few days in between it seems like some of the position battles are still really muddy. Poop johnson seems to have really muddied things with his play. I could see us starting Hurl at MLB, johnson at the 2nd DT spot and using butcher/ekakitie to rotate an imp mlb or db in. Aside form hurl at mlb, knox and temple combined for some good pressure early. Though temple wasnt playing mlb. santos-knox had some good plays too. At the final wr spot, lankford seems like he'd be best as a DI to return and sub in. But like mlb it doesnt seem like any one is stepping up to take the job. It seems like itll be down to the wire, but walters also talked about doing some cuts early to focus reps on the heat of the positional battles. Loved mos talking about every guy having to go into every football activity with the mind set of keeping his job. Cept medlock. But hes a kicker any way. The rest of TC should be really intense now. Especially with how mos sounded post game about a tie. He seems to take the tie worse then a loss.

Is sergio castillo a FA still? He looked bloody good for us last preseason / camp. Yeah he did. Liggins catch looked pretty dang good on the replay. Washington iirc had a couple called back and has looked good in camp. The tier of WRs on the bubble all have some pretty interesting skill/size/athleticism. They are gonna have some tough choices on that last wr spot. Being able to return and a legit threat to score is really gonna help lankford.

No kidding. Dont expect a lot from the refs in the cfl but they still find ways to disappoint.

thats the exact same way we made the play offs last year remember? By beating any pressure, taking what the D gives you and YAC. If you try to force passes against against our D you risk a pick.

Hobson put a video up of his "fumble" the riders were like 1-2 yards off him. Fumble was 100% not on him. (credit to throw long bannatyne for the video) Like his talent, if he is hungry and motivated like denmark was last year he could be a keeper. How excited are you guys about bridge right now? Sounded like he did every thing you could ask and for a good part of the game too.

Thats true. The way he beat them is the way you beat our starters though.

Some positions performances mean more in tc (like OL) for qbs TC is awful soft. Bennett didnt play well. Still young tho, and a guy id rather have around then young. But i think the rider fans are gonna drop back to reality and realize why he was on the PR to end the year. Bridge on the other hand played really well. Starters, bench, blitz, 4 man pressure he played well against it all. If i was them i would be more hope full now with bridge then previously with bennett.

Only tuned in tnite to watch derrick lewis vs mark hunt. Lewis looked good for about a round and a half. Then he looked kimbo vs dada5000 2.0

bridge played first series in the 4th qt and the bulk of santos knox plays were 2nd and 3rd. Its pre season, and first week of it at that. It all counts you can lose your job in the 4th qt of a pre season game. Its preseason, it is what it is. But its worth more then TC. especially the current state of TC rules.

temple and kyle knox each put up 1 tackle and combined to get 1 great qb hurry early. santos-knox had a few really good plays though.

the riders carried soo many guys every one who played the 2nd qt on could be in that group. Over all lefevour and davis played well and thats good. about all the preseason is worth.

I love Mos' honesty and bluntness when asked if he was pleased with the game.

wasnt exactly the most thrilling game, even for pre season. But its football season gotta take what we can get after this long lay off. 1 fevour / davis. Fevour and davis though really woke the offense up. combined 12/17 178 yards 3 tds 0 picks. 2 Lankford. Bobbled a return early but then had a td return called back and hauled in one to boot. 4-47 1 td 3 Santos-knox gets 3rd star. 3 tackls, 1 tfl, 1 FR. filled the gap and stopped the run for no yards twice. Got after the qb once and forced a throw away. HH Menard-briere didnt have a great game but his surprise come from behind TD saving tackle was the high light of the night for bob by the sound of it. roberson and flanders look good but i think a good bit of that was OL. Frederick had some good coverage early but gave up the TD. A few bright spots on a kind of meh game even for the preseason. Jeffcoat showed some promise. Got after the qb pretty good, sack FF and 3 tackles. Apodaca came in and took a shot that really woke up the offense but then couldnt capitalize. Poop johnson had a FF and a sack too. Butcher collapsed the pocket a couple times and got his hand on a pass as well.

Agree on Fajardo. Of the young back ups right now he's my favorite.

Just pre season. Idk how many none starters look great at qb for us in the last ten years or more. Some guys certainly show flashes. Yeah its hard to evaluate qbs in camp. When guys ar actually coming at you to hit you and do the whole world changes. Bridge is a solid prospect. Also not super high on him. Really wish it was on TV too. Would love to see these qbs play. Not to mention the line and other spots.

Yep im gettin ready for the pre game show! Its not really summer till bob irving calls a bomber TD for me. Wonder what 1290 will be doing. Will they have the hr show before and at the half?
