The one thing morgan doesnt lack is game speed.

no the jets have to send laine over to vegas.

He is young and has the up side time will tell. For this year we have a pretty deep defensive backfield assuming new guys from last year continue to produce. Next year in football epecially the cfl is like 10 years from now in human years who knows.
-
when did dobie take over the bisons? was it AD or BC? I dont remember a previous coach. Certainly in the last few years the talent level has spiked for the bisons, and cis in general.
-
Yeah i think you nailed it. Thats a gutsy prediction. But of course no one will remember by then if you are wrong. The time after their 2nd camp down south, is probably the most likely for guys like him to fall between the cracks and come up here though.

I tend to agree that the supporting cast was stronger then the hunam. Ireland was s3 iirc. And yeah it was the turn down point. If they had ended it with the FBI womans death at the end of s2 it would have been soo much better. certainly a case of vision and ideals getting in the way of good story telling. Drea de matteo who acted in both was probably the next best character. They had potential with supporting gangsters like paulie and silvio but seemed to try to piss it away as much as possible. But when you put ideology before quality thatll happen. I havent watched boardwalk empire yet. Its on the list to get around to though. It sounds good and i hear nothing but good things about it.

I think gray is a lifer down south sadly for us.

Trying to make sense of the cfl draft before it happens can have that effect on you He doesnt have the size or raw athletic numbers the nfl looks for at edge. Hes too small for a nose down there and his physicality is what really comes and goes. His consistency isnt just scare the nfl away its really scary. Look at those clips and ask your self how does a guy with that level of talent sit on the bench for the better part of 2 years. Then think how is he going to fit in to the MOS program. Hes supposed to be the SAFE pick too lol. The guy that will be here in camp and around for a contract at least. If we wanted to gamble we could do it on far more talented guys. that must be the one i was thinking of. It is a small sample size. They could be down here sooner rather then later. So could mulumba. Or they could not be. 1 thing id bet on with a guy who gets bonus money, hes going to spend bare minimum 1 camp down south. But probably 2.

I love the genre, soa's taper down after the first 2-3 or so seasons was greater then sopranos but with a better ending and a much stronger first stretch. Sopranos i dont find to have such a strong stretch at any point. Id say hands down the supporting acting and writting was a lot better on soa. James gandolfini is truly top tier in that genre. Up there with the best from the godfather. Despite writing that was less then his acting. Aside from him it was real house wives of new jersey.

In an article linked earlier dunk gave stats that NIs that get guaranteed money tend to stick a good while. The knock is that out side of the highlights there isnt much else to see over 3 years. DL with an inconsistent motor are kind of scary to draft. Especially no1. http://3downnation.com/2016/09/15/breaking-2016-cfl-scouting-bureau/ "Canadian defensive lineman Faith Ekakitie performed for scouts at Iowa’s pro day on Monday – three CFL teams attended, Lions, Argos and Alouettes." Found that kind of interesting. @mike mulumba is a lber.
-
The problem with ekakitie isnt the highlights, its the low lights and the gaps between. First 2 years at iowa, 10 games 15 tackles. 1 sack over 3 years. At points his senior year they struggled with the run as well.
-
I really dont think there is a bad seat in the joint. Id go up and as much to the middle as you can afford. Could make a joke about the yards our D gives up, and our low TD numbers making the best seats in the end zone. But its a new year and hope springs eternal. (till the first loss any way)
-
the faith or the force. use the force luke
-
If he ended up being the DL we got that it self would be solid. I wouldnt take him in the first though.

That fundamental flaw will allways keep it from being great. That and the fact the era it came out in allowed it to shock audiences a great deal. The fact her weak an uninteresting story is one of the better ones out side of tony alone kills it. How many great shows are 1 character deep? Got does ramp up the sex and violence, but so did the sopranos for its era. The difference is you are compelled in good and bad ways about the people having sex. With out that, you have spartacus light. The early 2 or so season of soa was hands down better then sopranos. You can chase back precursors as far as you want, mash set up this stuff ages ago. Take away the shock and sopranos stands up far worse then it did originally. Not to mention the sopranos was and is the god father light. No joke, the last thing televised media needs is another big influx of reality tv...
-
Or colling, etc. But yeah it would tend to say we are drafting a DL at some point.
-
I think colling is better in general then ekakitie, certianly more pro ready. Both face some adjustments coming from a different type of football and playing nose. I hope we arent stuck on ekakitie first over all. I find it kind of hard to believe too. 1, our front office plays things close to the chest and 2 he doesnt seem like the type of guy our organization targets.

idk i would say all in the family was multi faceted. it had every thing. a mistake no one would make about a great show
-
thats a great point. You have a small window to try and get an entire picture. Adjusting the waggle, yard off the ball, and on top of that 1 on 1s isnt a strong suit for some guys.
-
agree greatly. I re watched it last year and it didnt hold up as well as id a thought. On top of that i allways thought it was kind of full of it self. Greatest drama? Breaking bad, game of thrones, MASH, The original law and order, the west wing, the X files, friday night lights, the twilight zone, star trek, and all in the family. I havent seen stranger things, the wire, oz, mad men or house of cards but those are reputedly in that top tier. DR.who isnt my cup of tea but certainly worthy of mention. Same with Roots. The sopranos tends to fall over it self too often. Trying to make you care about the kids only to see them turn into bigger piles of junk, same with camilla. The villains allways feel soft compared to tony. Like as soon as he gets over him self he will just crush them. It seemed too often that things happened for the sake of happening. Like the assault on his therapist. The show is really one character deep. Can you imagine any of the others having a show based around them? The mark of a great show is supporting characters soo strong they could hold up their own story. The shows listed that ive seen all have that ability. Thats even more true in a drama show. As the bread and butter is compelling story, not comedy, action or horror. Id take deadwood, 24, the rockford files, and soa and the next tier over sopranos as well.

Yeah, the inconsistency of their commission back to the late 90s with muay thai and kick boxing was awful. We had such a good gate here Im surprised we havent seemed to have a sniff at a return event.
-
next up is the insider info post, so and so rookie to replace denmark/johnson, and asap the lets jump all over insert back up QB here, nuts.
-
same, his size and athleticism should keep him kicking around in the nfl for a long while. I havent seen it mentioned (maybe i missed it) But an interesting db with winnipeg roots was added. Would be a nice depth pick to back up and play teams. http://3downnation.com/2017/04/11/intriguing-canadian-defensive-back-abubakkar-conteh-added-to-2017-cfl-draft/ Also according to 3downnation kwaku boateng, a kicker, and jordan herdman, all have accepted mini camp invites with nfl teams. http://3downnation.com/2017/04/30/last-night-nfl-moves-shake-cfl-draft/ He gives some really interesting stats on priority / none priority FAs trickle down rate.
-
I think the glutt at wr and cb are guys that they arent sure the fit of. New guys could be moved around a good bit to find their ideal position. Its a bit soon to have a depth chart imop with the draft pending and us having 3 high picks. If we took judge, he waggoner, and hurl could provide full time NI spot in the lbing core via rotation.
-
eh, not a fan of passing on pure talent that needs to be coached up. You can certainly have too many of those guys, but teaching up guys like that is the mark of a great coach / staff. Tons and tons of players go pro because they are great athletes and its their best chance in life. And a LOT of great players are in that boat. If you have a team full of rudy's you might have a great story and a feel good team but still get smashed by stamps esq teams year in and year out. Our most recent grey cup appearance was probably closer to the opposite of that, and we got smashes with our character guys soo long that mos was on the hot seat early last year. Remember some of the antics we saw with milt and blink? Would they have been cut?
