This is such a huge un talked about factor. When a QB gets hit they are seldom able to brace and try to absorb it. And they take more shots from the back then any other player. I dont like some of the direction rule changes are taking the game. But protecting the qbs is a must. Its come light years from the khari jones era. But still has a lot of work to do.

Wonder if jake thomas could play off the edge... Feel like this is a huge chance for corney. Really sucks. Hope this doesnt lead to poop being relegated to bench and inactive list.

just another 18 game regular season in the most violent team sport. (maybe rugby is more violent idk, but i would think not)

Wouldnt that be crazy? Max value for edm, and a guy ott could potentially bank on with the oft hurt/benched harris. -

We could trade them the fever for their first round pick, best defensive starter and a pick swap.... Sinopoli package for franklin? 0: Yeah probably none of the above. -

They gotta be on pace to be over the cap by the most this year. -
Its not the first time shes turned in a horrid card.

Wow GGG just got robbed. Fight is a draw with 1 canelo 1 ggg and 1 draw. A few close rounds early but not that close. I think GGG won by 4 rounds easily.

Makes sense. Dont think we fits in the middle well, especially in our system. But would love to have him back in his original position.

Yeah, and only kind of with guys like mulumba/gra vs the guys that have been trickling back the last couple weeks to other teams. Was he cut? With wild out I would certianly take him back in that spot.

I watched e1 of south parks new season last night, i dont own one of these devices sadily. Southpark has broken the 4th wall with humor and finally beat the simpsons to a punch line. Not sure if it was on purpose or not, but I wouldnt be surprised either way. https://www.unilad.co.uk/news/south-park-premiere-triggered-everyones-amazon-devices-causing-mayhem/

Hot off the Press: future CFL book titles

The type of cuts we will probably bring in (cfl rookies) often take a little bit longer to come down. Around the league weve seen a couple guys come back from Nfl try outs who have been up here and had an impact. Those guys seem imo to be less likely to sit on the couch waiting for an nfl team to call. They understand the best chance to get back to the nfl after a TC is to play up here. Once youre more then like 2 years out of college your chances of getting picked up after camp / late camp drop a lot. Especially if you dont have any tape. It seems like our modus operandi is when the nfl camps close, prs expand we bring in a bunch of raw young guys for looks. We dont really seem to air lift guys in to come and play. Its like early auditions for camp next year. If some one comes in and plays like poop or jeffcoat in practice they will probably get a look if the roster presents a chance. But short of that (and that is exceedingly rare) a cfl rookie isnt likely to be air lifted and play past the mid way point. The no contact practices could hurt those guys too. When the PR expands and teams cycle in young talent from down south itll be a lot harder to evaluate them with out practice reps.

Ya weve seen a mild brain drain in coaches in the last 15? or so years. What a college has to offer a coach is really really hard to match.

I agree with jacquie in that an ast hc and dc role would be a great step for him. And yeah he has had defensive players hemorrhaged for cap issues over the last 2 years and his D hasnt taken a step back. On a side note, ive allways been a fan of 3-4 in the cfl. I think the main reason we dont see it as the go to D system is the sharp contrast in DL it uses compared to the 4-3s ran up here. The yard off the ball also makes it harder on hand up edge rushers imo.

I think that fit makes sense, and he seems the type of guy hammy would jump on.

I wonder if they take a stab at plop in the off season... Would LOVE to have thorpe here.

He will still be a legend. But just as much a cautionary tale now. (assuming his competitive mma career is now over) Biggest screw up of all time. Just saw, rigondeaux vs loma. Im soooooo excited for this fight! More then GGG canelo.

CFL No Contact Practices Good Or Bad For League?
wbbfan replied to USABomberfan's topic in Blue Bomber Discussion
Not a fan of no contact practices. How does a young linemen trying to develop (ie corney, couture, faith etc) learn their craft with out getting those practice reps? I dont feel this would have changed any of the qb injures weve seen soo many of this year either. -
Bomber Bye Week: The Kavis Reed Short Rope Edition

Hes pretty toast. But when AC went to montreal he was too. Still worth a few more chances as a back up. And some one will give it to him. I dont think they get willy value though. -
Yes, the same one that smashed the montreal team we barely edged out in over time. The same one who tied calgary. We beat them by 3 points with out harris lighting us up. Sask was tearing up our D, harris and the RBs are much much more dangerous an offense then the crieders.
-
Id say that we just had our weakest stretch. The next 3 are more mid level. Im worried what harris might put up against our D.
