  1. part of my pre season ritual every year is watching that play before the first game and before the first time we play the argos. Kerwin gets in, does a shimmy dance spikes the ball, bounces up and hits him right in the lil bell he gets decked by a bomber and still gets the penalty for taunting. 😝
  2. ohhhh snapple. inb4 durant steals this line. He really does personify the bombers post khari era pre mos era. Who is it for the dark ages pre ritchie? kerwin bell or reggie slack?
  3. takes a special kind a player to go 0 fer with every single team in the league.
  4. Twitter has never been my thing. this makes me think it never will be. its like my brain is trying its best to reject the message from twitter. flash backs to html.
  5. we call that pulling a milt. never forget on the previous play edm did the exact same thing, milt was open and kg missed him. how on earth you see that once and call the same defense on the next play I will never know. A blink is when the other team plays cover 0, goes full run blitz and you still some how run up the gut and go un touched for a touch down. Off sides? thats a willis. soo much yes.
  6. to be fair every pick 6 is very kevin glenn like.
  7. A few years ago, maybe. Its hard for a MLBer to deserve to be the highest paid defensive player in the league. Now should the bombers be willing to over pay, and or risk a cap wrist slap? I would say yes. Our vet talent is peaking. We cant expect 2+ years more at this level for a bunch of guys. We no longer have a proven vet back up qb, we have the cap room and we have missed out on 3 major impact mlbers. Bear woods twice in the past year and a bit. Randle is 29 dressler is 32 harris is 31 mo is 31 bryant is 32 nichols is 31. Dressler has had his injury problems, mo is coming off one of the biggest injuries in football (short to medium term/career term) Nichols got banged up a bit last year with a better ol in front of him then right now. It is reasonable to expect that in 2 years half those guys will be gone. + the possibility that some one like poop could be gone in that time range to the nfl as well. (idr the length of his contract*) Now is the time to risk it and make the moves to win today. Im not saying empty the cupboards and go all in, but we need to be a buyer. Not a seller or inactive.
  8. When the confidential inside sources talk about they them they and what they are told happened I give up. An article by a guy, who interviews a guy who talked to a guy who may have been involved. too flimsy. On one hand with a dumpster fire like mtl if a coach or player is ok with it thats a bad sign. hard nosed coaching has won a TON more games then players best friend. But if you are too much of a dumpster fire for montreal... Im just glad we are no longer in that position.
  9. Yeah mildly better version of twilight in space. I feel like disneys overly ambitious schedule is going down the DCCU rabbit hole. Very loosely fit together story threads for the purpose of making movies and money. I dont feel like they are concerned or interesting in creating a good continual story with in the SW universe. They are just milking it. If these movies had all the star wars names changed but other wise remained exactly the same this franchise would be long long dead. again. Dave filoni and some of the novels have brought great new stories into star wars. universe. Out side of that, and video games, the last best addition to the series was return of the jedi. Nostalgia only lasts soo long, they have got to turn out better stories and quality and fast.
  10. I am by no means a cap expert. I would think it freed up a good chunk of cash for us though. I would not be surprised to see a couple other vets pushed hard by rookies though. Itll depend a bit on teams play. If they use petermann and or simonise on the return team or on teams in general they are both locked in. Those two plus wolitarski and demski are not cemented, but they will be bloody hard to beat out. I imagine that is who will be ahead on the depth chart to start camp but you never know. Should be a great battle. + we have some very promising young imp wrs that could push us to adapt the ratio else where.

    UFC

Loma is the only one in pro boxing i pay to watch. I seldom pay to watch ufc even. Ive been a big fan of machida for a long time. I wish we could have got machida vs belfort closer to their prime. I still dream in vain of machida vs silva. Machida vs bisping. Id watch it. I wonder if either of these guys go to rizin or bellator and trt it up. (or back up for vitor) Old dragon vs the ice man is probably in the future though. Dern looks better and better. Glad to hear she is gonna slow down camps a bit. Gotta make weight, but she is gonna be a great fighter in two years.
  12. some how every one is missing the reverse order thing. the worst teams in the league dont get first choice over better teams according to that. Which would be great for us. though Im sure every team in the league is gonna bid a first round pick. Doubt we get him but it would be pretty great if we do.
  13. this is what im thinking and hoping.
  14. If they sign manziel I think theyd keep vernon adams masoli and manziel for a bit. Eventually I think he would supplant vernon adams. Who would be a solid vet back up for most any team.
  15. thats pro sports. when nichols was on his streak of games with no pic he was having dbs drop passes atleast once a game. Not to mention how many pics some hof qbs threw. (danny mac aka mcpick, or ac in the year prior to MTL) my money is on freeman. Dont know where willy is with shellshock. But even if his head is in the right place mtl will just ruin a few more qbs this year any way.
  16. personally i dont even wanna see it. Im not a instatwittergram guy any how. But nothing good will come out of seeing a guy act like an ass clown like that. On to rookie camp, and training camp. Back to bomber news for me.
  17. The team is the one taking the financial risk. You can argue a player takes a physical risk, and Id be ok with that. If it wasnt a qb, a second string qb at that, and IF he had actually reported for camp or mini camp. In the finance world, if you get a signing bonus and leave before the end of the contract you are expected to return a portion equal to the term left on the deal, some times the whole amount.
  18. To be fair I dont think he has been in a well run/managed offense his entire career, nor has he had a good ol in front of him.
  19. He isnt in that category. he dressed for 4 games and completed 5 passes. Kilgore only played a few more games but atleast started etc. Mitchell gale made it through 4 years. The difference between 3 tcs, holding the clip board for 3-4 years is pretty big and being around for part of a year is pretty big. Cato, played in 22 games went 296/432 (69%) 3570 yards 17 tds 11 ints and ran for 319. I dont particularly want either kilgore or gale short of a serious long term qb injury to 2 guys. Even then Id rather kick the tires around the league on some one with a pulse. Cato just slipped out of football. Sat last year. Hes the best of a bleak crop of whats available right now. We can never under estimate the stupid of the reed lead als. His best time was a mid 4.4 but that pretty much wraps up his speed. He has wr / borderline wr speed, fantastic leaping ability, in a big strong frame. He is exactly the type of guy you dream of as a 3rd stringer, short yardage qb and holder. He also has the kind of raw talent in his arm to make you dream of warren moon. If we close camp with nichols, ross, and streveler as our active qbs its not an issue imop. As long as both ross and streveler show well in camp and progress.
  20. I wish this got more publicity. We hear soo much about shootings like this, if only a real hero like shell got that much publicity.
  21. Ray and maas swapped halfs. Iirc ray was great in the first half but couldnt finish games so maas would come in and do clean up. Depends a bit on the type of prospect QB. Ross, was a 3 year starter who stole some snaps in his first year as well. Threw for just under 10k yards. 47 games and 41 starts in 4 years. 760/1174 (65%) 72 tds 24 ints. The guy has played tons of football. He has a year of seasoning in BC. If he isnt ready out of this camp he probably wont ever make the jump. For a guy with that much experience (and you can be he was the guy in hs too) its all about how his skill set translates to the pros, and how he adapts to the canadian game. If you arent fast enough to figure it out after a year of watching you wont be fast enough to run the team play to play every game. Streveler is a 2 year starter who stole a few snaps his first year before transfering. At that he took a huge step forward his last year in college. 2/3s of his passing yards came in that year. 23/28 games.
  22. It all depends on your stance of starting a rookie qb. Imo coming off the bench for part of a game is easier then starting. Any mobile qb can come in, run some high percentage pass plays, option / run heavy offense. A lot of football minds are still divided on whether or not a rookie qb can be tossed into the fire. The experienced half pulsers (some of the experienced fas dont even have half a pulse) are pretty known commodities. None are at all likely to come in and turn their career around. They are all stop gap type guys. Cato is the guy id take if i had to. Showed some flashes but played on utterly dismal als teams. I dont think any qb in the league would have made the play offs on those teams. After that bennett for knowing the system, coaches and team. if either were willing to come dirt cheap and we wanted the extra arm in camp Itd be a good fit. But no need to rush to get em imo. I think the next wave of good back up qbs washes through this year. I can see jonathon jennings in bc getting dealt to be a back up. A change of scenery would do him good. Still young enough to turn it around. I think collaros is pushed down to the back up this year as well. either could be available around LD. Ross and streveler have all the talent in the world. Our offense would be a great fit for ross if he had to be forced into action. And streveler is the type of player that when forced in will either have it or not.
  23. Not any one youd really want. bennett would have the familiarity, but I think both our back ups have more talent and potential.
  24. soo many jinxes its un real.
  25. i dont think i could stomach listening to that. thanks for posting it though. I debated over listening to it or not for a while.
