Pretty much. Im a bit more fond of it i guess. The difference in quality among the legit no2s available is pretty thin imop. This really seems to be the bomber prototype for a QB. Good size, strong, athletic, comes from a spread offense.

He was stuck in a glutt of rbs. Showed some real flashes but wasnt able to secure the job. Course you can say it was the system / ol and probably be right atleast in part. Hes got a great mix of skills running the ball for the cfl game. I want to say he struggled catching the ball out of the backfield but mostly i remember his smooth fluid running style. Certainly a good pick up, and a guy Im glad isnt out of football.

If we got him for no2 money its a great spot. We have a legit battle at No2 and 2 guys who could come off the bench and give a change of pace with their mobility. Showed some nice flashes against us and ham. Kind of an older jonathon jennings. I wouldnt mind seeing us bring in a young qb to groom a bit. MBT isnt under contract and would be the odd man out imop. But all in all really good moves this year. Denmark and a DT then young guys and a good draft. Gonna be hard for this off season not to be an A. 1 return when he was back as a blocker. Marshall returned kicks for us in one game. Neither guy is a returner, basically any RB can be put there but doesnt mean they will be good at it.

the ol flanders had was worlds better. Marshall is faster more gifted but was never steady. Flanders is much more reliable and an every down back. Cam marshall is more upside. Not that the riders have the OL or actually run the ball to get that out of him. Its a good talent pick up though.

Similar high up side but much more of a natural LBer and MLBer at that. Just what the Doctor ordered. Really like this move a lot. Need some more young guys to push him in camp but its a great low risk high reward move. One more DT and our front 7 are dramatically improved.

The difference between the old guard in winnipeg sports media and the new is sickening. The thought of what it could look like in 10+ years when the good guys are gone is sad.

haha. Love milt. that interview with walters, he talks a bit about how calgary is never noisy come free agency and allways good. Seems like he is expecting more out of the scouts now. Talked about how they should be able to find guys who can run around and play teams and come in to compete at LBer. Looking back at last years camp we had some real stud prospect pass rushers. None of whom really panned out. But they certainly found talent and athleticism. Some guys just dont translate or have the motor etc. We keep bringing in crops of young guys like we did last year and we will move closer to cow town this year. And that is how you win for a long period of time. We won the off season and had bad years plenty of times. But our turn arounds have largely had to do with the new guys we brought in from down south.

Yeah I like burnett a lot and hope he does well. But he got a pretty good crack at taking a starting LBer job and looked like a STer. Hes crazy athletic in a sub tweener size with a great motor, but not a natural football player. We can dig up a few of those for camp, hope fully we find another gooder. If we could have simonise in camp this year itd be fantastic. The rest of the top wr prospects im not hot about. But it would be great to get a bunch of competition at that spot. Certainly a position to look at at worst with depth picks. A back up NI rb would be nice too. Really would have liked akeel lynch.

yeah i dont either. And i cant see it being much of a fight because of it. yeah they really over booked the super cards last year and now this year has been poor because of it. Bell is a guy poised for a break out. But i dont see him getting the touches he needs here. I do like that he can catch the ball out of the back field and return a bit if you need. He needs a chance to start.

Thats the truth, look at how andrew harris did early last year before we sorted out the ol. His ypc was like 3.8 and no tds till week 6. 206 yards 3.88 ypc 41.2 rushing yards per game. 0 rushing tds. First 5 449 yards 4.98 ypc 89.8 rushing yards per game and 4 rushing tds. Next 5
