  1. No doubt any time you watch him play you see a lot of bad tackling. Part of that comes from him being a guy who runs hard. He shows excellent quickness for the level. To the point he hits the hole going so fast he can run through arm tackles despite his size. Charles roberts esq. Dunno how he will translate to the cfl game. But hes the perfect guy to have in camp. Helps the grass roots, gives us an extra guy to run, catch, do some returning etc.
  2. Cant find any thing on him retiring. CFL has him listed as FA. Did he play teams?
  3. Another win tnite, aside from the first half of april jays have been better especially considering the injuries.
  4. 7.2 ypc last year. just sayin. Normand never looked bad running the ball. He did have a bobble a pass or two however. I think the issue is adaption and use of the offense. Not personnel. 2 of the top 3 rushers in the league were NI last year. When you get out side the top 5 I dont buy one bit that those teams wouldnt have been better off using a NI rb. Teams still perceive it to be a spot to use a imp, even though rb usage is soo low these days. Guys like shaq murray lawrence, lafrance, and anthony coombs get modestly better treatment then NI qbs. Big body backs like lumbala and normand show some flashes but remain under used. There seems to be a good amount of guys coming out who are athletic, H-back/fback/te prospects who get stuck on teams and forgotten. Id rather start a guy like normand, then half imp rbs thats started last year for various teams. Especially if you are going to run soo infrequently. These are the perfect guys to run on 2nd and 3 type plays, to pass protect, and block and release. I wonder what the last team to start a NI rb for most of the season was that did poorly.
  5. Watching him run, hes really a first step/burst guy. Not a long strider. Which is even better at QB then a guy who runs 4.4 but relies on break away speed. Id say watching him he plays faster then 4.7 though he didnt seem like a great fit in the triple option. Could've. Almost certainly would not have though. Calgary was just miles a head of every one else in scouting him. Like we were with loffler. I really think we would have gotten the same 2 just higher up. That said we dont have the best record with supplemental guys. Its even more of a gamble then the draft. But as bad as our NI talent was at that point I dont blame them for grabbing a here and now guy rather then waiting a year. If a guy in the supplemental can make your team I think you are virtually allways better off taking them.
  6. haha football made easy.
  7. Really not, especially for a guy who played 2 years. If any thing labels him a bust its only playing 2 years. Look at what most of the top of that draft class has done in the cfl and look what waggoner has done. Better wheels then dunigan for sure. Dunigan was more buck esq in his era. Now dunigans heart, football instincts, accuracy, and especially leadership are another matter.
  8. yes we missed out on the likes of phillipe gagnon. Brandon revenberg, brian jones, and charles vaillancourt. The way walters talked about our board afterwards, we would have just taken corney or couture in that range any how.
  9. Yeah took a glance at the misses in the first round over the past 5 years and the size of that pool is freaking massive. Too bad i liked what he brought on teams and would have liked to see what he could do in reps. That arm, wow. Gets rid of the ball quickly too, and a good athlete. Hes like an athletic MBT, but young enough to be a reasonable developmental guy. http://www.accac.org/sports/fball/2014-15/players/austinapodacalkag?view=profile Mesa community college seems to be his largest sample size post hs. 233/394- 59.1% - 2534 yards - 27 tds - 9 ints. 0 sacks wow.
  10. Thanks for diggin that up. So hes under contract for this year and has to play for them to get a low pick. But they could cut him if he doesnt sign a multi year deal?
  11. I didnt mind the early seasons of gotham. I liked the idea of it as a detective show set in the batman universe but pre batman era. Really liked donal logue, and the dynamic between he and gordon. It pushed further and further into gordon being batman light though. And really lost me there.
  12. I probably laughed harder at that then I should have. 1 day less a month till the first pre season game. TC cant start soon enough. The last couple pages prove that. @bigg jay you can take IMWT from my cold dead hands.
  13. How often has wally been snookered in general? lol. Cant say how good the deal was or wasnt with out knowing the conditions of course. But the crieders did get a decent NI out of it.
  14. depends on the conditional pick. If that ends up the riders first...
  15. late off season. Football is close, but not much news to be had before TC
  16. yeah and in general his testing numbers were poor. Litre tested better 20 pounds heavier. mcgough too.
  17. The way the young bats are performing in the system, combined with the relative youth of our pitching core they could easily turn it around in that time range. Vladdy JR looking like a chip off the old block, just crushing the minors.
  18. That, and far more controlled offensive plays. Mr.greenroom lol. The BLM of the nfl. haha. Brady is on the better team/system rogers is the better qb imop.
  19. They played whole careers with well below what you claimed as the bare min for being a starter, and went to the HOF. that should tell you all you need to know about 2:1 td to int ratio. A severe lack as in 3+ guys who ended up in the hof. How many current would end up there? At this rate 2. Because of the rule changes towards passing it causes defenses like ours to play more read and react, breaking on the ball and baiting for turn overs.
  20. Wow my heart goes out to him and his family.
  21. They still played those games and went what? 5-2? You should call danny mac and tell him then i guess. And all those hof qbs too.
  22. http://www.rotoworld.com/recent/cfb/134672/dominick-jackson Wow any one who scouts knock that hard has to be really good or really TCF
  23. No joke. Its almost FOOOOOOTTTBAAALLLLLL season! Yeah thats the truth. Doesnt matter what happens the rest of the game when it gets down to the crunch a different nichols comes out.
  24. How long was hank and rays career? You are looking at tiny sample sizes and throwing away the meta. Both are HOF qbers. Starter>elite>HOF BLM is elite of the elite. Flutie esq. Again, small sample size of durant vs his career and he didnt play 18 games in 2013. Career numbers TD/int Doug Flutie 270/155 His 2 years in toronto? both under 2:1 tds in the regular season. And that was some of the best QBing the league has ever seen. warren moon 144/77 Reilly 88/53 Durant 152/99 Hank 374/227 Ray 298/165 khari 145/104 dunigan 306/211 damon allen 394/278 danny mac 259/281 calvillo 449/219 is one of the very, very few with a 2:1 or better in his career. Which combined with his pre als era numbers only serves to magnify how great he and those als offenses were. They still only won it 3 times over his 15 year career there. Nichols + reilly in 2015 threw 20 picks in the regular season for edm and they won the GC. If you want to count play off numbers, and the games the starters dont start youre looking at 15+ for the GC winner nearly every year. The more TDs you put up, the more ints you can get away with. A guy putting up 40 tds and 1.5:1 tds to ints is gonna give you a better chance to win then a guy with a 2:1 scoring 25 or less tds. BUT your point was STARTER. When its clearly not even true of elite qbs.
  25. no it isnt. it isnt even the standard for elite qbs. Its a gold standard in the nfl, not in the cfl. Last year was the only year mike reily ever had 2:1 td to int ratio. Jennings hasnt gotten to 2:1 in either year. Harris in ott in 15 didnt get to 2:1. Hank only hit 2:1 a few times in his career. Khari jones never got to a 2:1 ratio either. Ricky ray has only done 2:1 once while playing more then 13 games.
