its not a thing of have to, like bryant and medlock did last year. They get money shifted around to off season bonus money instead of the steady money on the check. It is a little silly the level of security players have. Pro sports, especially football player have a short enough half life as it is. I hope at some point the league and PA move to better player issues like this. It will only make the game and league better in the long run. Wow he is clearly working out with one of our previous fly by night qbs. Russ michna maybe? tee martin? pat barnes? who knows but from the quality of those passes its clearly gotta be one of our from the dark ages... He does look good though. I hope he recovers and has a good year (when not against us of course.)

if they are an elite wr and either have sustained it and will be around a while or its a mid season pick up It could be worth while. Long term, if you can lock up a consistent elite wr I think itd be worth while. One wr can make a bigger impact on an offense then one ol.

i figure one of the young guys will have a good start to camp, day 1 isnt much individual hype normally. But 3 days in some one playing hot will get it. Tbh this year im holding my breath that the young guys from last year can avoid the 2nd year curse and maintain the level of play we saw last year. Mostly frederick and loffler. That and hoping that fogg either becomes just a return guy and depth DB or we replace him as a return guy and he recovers after hitting the wall hard last year. He made a TON of plays prior to hitting the wall, but wasnt the most reliable in coverage. (maybe the least reliable)

makes some nice plays, some times seems a little wild at times trying to make a play on the ball in a crowd of his own guys. But man his size and athletic ability are really impressive. Could play all over the defense with his tool set. We are set to have an embarrassment of riches in terms of young guys this tc.

np. Yeah and normally a guy catching short passes would make that asterisk worthy but the offense at ULM had most of those catches in tight traffic which is even more impressive. They had a rash of injuries his last year, and he was supposedly 100% when he left college so heres hoping.

Pretty much. And i do like well executed screens. Maybe we never saw the development of those plays due to the lack of success we had running them. Dare to dream any way.

Really makes the focus on high character guys look even better. Wont lie, im heavily skewed towards talent over character. It can be easy to throw the baby out with the bath water. Plus some times guys need a 2nd chance, or a better situation. Guys like this though gotta be pushed out of pro sports. If he was suspended indefinitely by the league itd be a good start. It makes me sad to see good talent wasted on bad people.

Hes more quick then fast. More of a possession to catch and run type of guy. Play style some where between arland bruce and robert gordon. He also fits very well with the "smith" package plop likes to run / try to run. Hes a guy I like, and im excited to see him here.

bad teams tend to cut good players. and even good teams have guys fall between the cracks. 104 tackles 9.5 tfl and 4 sacks as a junior after bouncing between starter and bench previously is pretty impressive. Some times a year off can be good if a guy gets hurt too. no idea if thats his case. At worst these guys are TCF, and young tcf. Id rather have young hungry tcf then old long in the tooth types weve seen previously. No macho harris kuale etc type in sight. And like you said its been a real good off season. Id suspect they see some thing in these two rather then filling out the TC roster with tcf.

I think that would be the scenario, this draft has a glut of mid to late first round type talent and i could see a back like augustine, or especially ante litre falling. Either would be well worth mid to late pick for teams and depth. We dont have a lot of pics after our high 3 but a pick swap for next year to grab one of those guys in the 4th and on would be great. I think normand might get a chance to play a bit if harris got hurt. If say harris went down mid game normand would step in. If he ran with it I could see him being the starter while we carry one of the other imp rbs as a DI.

I think normand is penciled in at that spot but I wouldnt be surprised if we grabbed some one in the bottom of the draft or free agency
