  1. A rotation of the two would be optimal. But I really want to see what butcher does in camp, rather then have him veteran'd out.
  2. corney no. jake the snake yes.
  3. thats a real good pick up.
  4. fantastic news!
  5. lets get ready to rummbllleeeeeeeee. Prolly more like humble here in bomber ville but weve had a pretty good off season soo far.
  6. easy to find yes. easy to find high end ones? not so much. Its like rbs. You can bring in 10 guys with every kind of back ground possible and all them arent bad but none of them are special. If its a guy whose a dangerous returner id take a FA for sure. A guy like rainey, banks, maybe logan would be good. Although if we are going to have fogg as the back up DB id use him as the returner too.
  7. Too whiny and emo for my liking. Even the first 2. The 3rd was fantastic 4 bad. Couldnt come near close to finishing it. Im not a fan of the really young portrayal of peter parker.
  8. Yeah, ledgers joker handily saves it for me but DKR was not a fan of at all. It feels like they just wanted to rush into the frank miller story line knowing how epic it was but then half arsed it. They didnt have to keep the nolan verse, I think it would have been safe to move into the more supernatural especially with ras al ghoul. That with the gritty, dark feel of batman vs what we saw prior to batstiffler nolan would have gone a long ways. Ehh, idk. fantastic 4, most of the xmen movies, hulk wasnt great, and the majority of comic book / spiderman fans did not like those movies either. And they didnt age or end well. Going into iron man marvel was in a hole. Their approach was to use fantastic casting, and slow methodical story/world building + a fantastic pile of back stories to lure people in. They went candy in a van. DCCU went crazed flasher in a trench coat. But DC has certainly dug out of a ton of holes in the past. The comic crash, comic code crack down, batman and robin etc. If they take a breather from the movies, then come back in a couple years with that same awesome casting taking time to tell a few characters stories they could salvage it. But they wont. money money money money!
  9. yeah wont be fun for sure. The off season in general for the front office isnt tho.
  10. practice does not a pro football player make. tee martin and robert marve looked great in practice. Tony ortiz and a ton of other guys too. Joshua bostick.
  11. Yep. Over crowding the movies has been a major point of suckage.
  12. which considering the source material, and strength of characters they have to work with is just mind boggling. As a comics fan i was allways more into DC, but the movies have been incredibly one sided.
  13. Its not a thin draft, its top heavy. And the top tier is strong enough to get a bunch of them NFL interest. Its very high risk high reward even for the cfl draft. With our NI depth, having the chance to draft a star NI is better then for sure being able to bring in a guy who might become a starter at peak.
  14. hurl, neufeld, and smith (are keeping, macho, gurley pending FAs? if not them) The down grade in cost from Mlb, 1 dt, and the back up qb spot, should all be a decent savings as well. I doubt we fill all those spots with equal money to what we spent on them last year. The OL is an interesting spot for us. With our picks we can target a good one, plus couture and foketi and i imagine intzandt on the PR. If we end up with a drafted OL, couture or foketi as one of our 5 best OL we could try and trade some one like bryant for value and cap flexibility. Not that i want to move bryant, but its a nice option to have.
  15. not to mention if they would move on from smith. Dressler and adams + denmark is cheaper and better then with smith. I wouldnt be against bringing him back at a more appropriate price.
  16. michael bishop 2 was tee martin. Or would he be 1.0 and bishop 2.0? MBT is more pat barnes 2.0
  17. took the words out of my mouth on JJ. Lafrance would be a nice pick up. Wouldnt want to pay too much but would be a nice high up side young NI to back up. Would be nice if he was more of a teams guy / pass catcher. Venable would be a monster pick up. If we add him and the front 7 doesnt instantly perform a ton better firings are a foot. Westerman 2.0 is too much his last name and passport. Id take him if cheap but not a guy who would be much of a priority target. More of a rotational piece. I dont think he and jake are both starters but between the two you could have a pretty effective rotation.
  18. Sounds and looks like a real hitter and play maker. Looks like he'd have the versatility to play all over the defense. I worry the PI rules may flush good young talented DBs out of the league pre maturely. Namely the ones who are really physical. Heres hoping.
  19. Rush ran 4.5 40, shortly off an ACL. Looks like a long stride runner who can really open up some top speed on the back end of plays. Looks really physical and strong. Hands look great. 2:21 he runs a short hook, the db grabs the front of his jersey while the ball is mid air pulls him back blocks his left arm so he reaches back and grabs the ball with just his right, while the ball is thrown a little wide of him. Bunch of physical plays and strong catches. Will be fun to see what he does in camp.
  20. pretty much agree. Yeah, late last year he got rocked and thought he was gonna be out a couple times. That combined with how ride or die mos is especially late in games means a lot of breath gonna be held this year. Thats true, but that could very easily come at the cost of play off positioning or the play offs all together. He should have gotten in late last year a few times. Thats true, but then instead of spending money we will be losing assets and money in that back up. If that does happen and we arent quick to make that trade the loss could be a disaster. This franchise can not afford a turn down now. Despite the teams turn around last year ticket sales were slow to rebound. Developmental qb and back up qb are 2 different things. Thats the issue. How you develop qbs is by playing them. Backing up in the system is how they catch up, not how they progress. haha idk will jones or the new regime that replaces him by then make trades with us?
  21. what noeller said. He hardly played college, went from big program to tiny then pro and bounced around basically every nfl TC and PR for years and years. Exceptional skill set with about as few passes thrown as is humanly possible. Thatd be great.
  22. Never seemed to be made official, could be a camp thing. Would also be a fantastic guy to bring in to that role.
  23. havent read the piece, its a sub optimal situation, but FA hasnt even begun yet he needs to calm his ****. If we dont have the money, we just dont have the money. I wouldnt pay any of the vet back ups available no1 money and it sounds like thats what they want. That could very well change if a few of these guys dont have deals when camp begins or gets close. Right now we only have 2 qbs under contract and walters comment about MBT coming back. More is still to come at qb. The real thing you gotta thing about is if davis is no2, whose pushing him for that role? Mbt with the least possible experience for a pro qb? We need competition at back up qb (and all positions in general) if the 2s price them self out of that role for us we do need to fill that hole some how. imop 4 qbs are ideal for mini camp / camp. Takes a big load off the 1/2 and doesnt default any qb spot. Yes any team down to a 3rd string qb starting is pretty borked. There is a difference between a qb with limited league experience and limited football experience since HS but both are scary. And sit who bond? bryant? hardrick? the problem with going 5 imp wrs is rotation. It would be great to pull off but it would hamstring the use of the DI and put us in a tough spot if some one got hurt. We need to find a good ni wr.
  24. No of course not. But a good chunk off the top of this class couple be in camp in the NFL this year. The big loss in not having the top guys at the combine isnt the loss of scouting them, but how they stack up to other guys. Like rupert butcher last year tearing through every one in 1on1s.
  25. That would be a great move. Id kill to see walby join the staff on the OL too
