  1. With the restrictive front office cap, and the fact you can 6game/ public appearance pay guys out side of the player cap it would actually be extremely advantageous to have a guy like biggie as a “player” coach.
  2. I should’ve clarified it’d involve the same flip to ni lber rotating we normally use with biggie/kyrie. case is certainly a better option than holm or banged up lucky. Idk if Augustine can catch punts. extra size in the gaps is going to be key to beating Edmonton for sure. not in particular a fan of case and his sideline to sideline style, but if lucky is banged up it only makes sense to Stick in case who also gives much needed depth at wr. Wheatfall for Johnson and case for lucky makes a lot of sense. I would consider starting case and having him return to flip another di to D especially if wheatfall is rusty. Also worth mentioning is that Murphy certainly has to draw onto the roster though. Since woli is down and clercius starts, unless mci is ready for a high volume of reps if a ni wr goes down. Which having him block is be good with. I don’t think he’s ready for offensive production though.
  3. Agree with all that. Cole might go on for Ayer’s, di 7th ol could come off, Adam’s for bridges, case/lucky, kyrie for biggie.
  4. Jake especially on the nose sure makes it hard on lbers. In a 3tech with woods or Adam’s on the 1 would go a long way to helping. 3 years 3 games lol. And now we have no useful globals. Rip.
  5. It’s a big difference between carrying a 7th ni ol and burning a di for the 7th ol too
  6. We don’t have any beefy lbers, and kyrie is the only guy who can get off a block or scrape to the run. All the rest get washed out easily.
  7. If kyrie is ready use him as a naturalized imp would be huge too. This roster could vary wildly
  8. Yeah pretty much. Also reallly rough to go from 6 games to 18 in general. Especially for a dl.
  9. Bet it’a case unfortunately.
  10. That would be a much better use of roster space for sure. Mci, clercius, and schmek give us more than enough extra blocking. But probably won’t happen.
  11. I wonder if Wilson is actually close. He’s always been real shaky coming back from injuries. leaves us with out a kr. Case or smith is likely to come back on if lucky can’t go. I don’t think they are comfortable with the guys we have as more than in game subs. I’d like to see hart get a look but idk if he will be ready that fast. He dropped off pretty good, seemed like he hit a rookie wall. But he’s still our most sound end in terms of run stopping and contain. As well as getting off blocks. Which is sad.
  12. Going to be tough for them to settle the roster. Ayers and jones are important teams pieces, but Cole is a beast on teams and versatile as a package guy, kyrie would be a big improvement in run stopping if he’s ready. But we can’t carry all those guys. Really need Adam’s back on, Hubert would be good this week too.
  13. He said it’s not the end of 4, but he has to be stopped from coming back. He is about to turn 36 and hasn’t been 100% for a year and a half to two years. He never should’ve played hurt down the stretch last year. Hes dropped off soo bad since early last year it’s scary. Dude needs to prioritize health and quality of life now. I’d be stoked to have him coach lbers. Stanley can be shuffled to another spot. We need a reshuffle on some ast coaches bad any way.
  14. You should have the bombers update their page. like I said, atleast with Walter’s picks you can see the upside and logic. Vs picks like pencer oooh he big.
  15. Poor nik Moore. Darn good wr think he was in the running for league lead when he got hurt his last year here 900 yards and 4tds. Couldn’t stay healthy such a shame.
  16. That’s right too, mid season trade. Ssk kept trying to use him at tackle back in the day hah. We were soo desperate for Canadian talent and took chances on all the high upside guys. Some worked out, a bunch did not lol. yeah if they tracked it I bet he would’ve set records for least completions against in multiple years. Yeah Nevis was 17, he was the biggest get for a long time though. Not a lot of others teams were onto how good guys like Randle really were. Nevis when next to stove was insane. The dl was soo deep then.
  17. Kyle Walter’s cries a little every time some one watches those clips. Yep. Walter’s was also a very well regarded football mind at the time. He’s a been snapped up very quickly if we let him go. It’s funny we were low key a hotbed for front office talent in an era we mostly struggled, and let the good blooming Canadian guys go for tired old yanks. Wasn’t the guy I wanted but I atleast understood the logic behind that pick. High character role dt with a strong pedigree in the us. him n randle were the big ones right away. Then drake nevis too. Randle was mainly a chance to be a full time guy instead of a dime, the other two got big paydays.
  18. They were pretty close to making the change for seemingly little reason. I don’t think it’s an injury risk, but I do think you can make the kick off return better, which is always big for the cfl.
  19. Blue bombers web page was the source. also, it was right before week 8.
  20. It wasn't 2012, it was 2013, and he didn't have any chance to impact culture in 13 in a meaningful way being sandwiched between mack and burke. The flushing at the end of that year cleared the slate to finally fully rebuild the mess left from the kelly year. Walters first made the move from the sidelines to the management chair as he began his tenure as Assistant General Manager and Director of Canadian Scouting with the Blue Bombers in 2013.
  21. Yeah, and if the league is going to follow through with fining guys for hits like that even if not penalized then it's all good. Earlier in the year we saw such shots and worse go with out punishment at all. And the guy is already a 3 time loser.
  22. He came in 10, as a ST coach and like some others in the past also worked with our Canadian scouting and development team (which is why he was poised to become the interim GM). No one, had significant power under joe mack. (front office wise)
  23. Walters and wade werent here that long before mos, but their first major moves in that off season was bringing him in. With out question wade and walters brought in mos largely on a shared philosophy on culture. It has to be top down though. Mos, with the riders under Oday would not have a team with a strong culture. No one would. Gms, and presidents don't hire coaches who don't share their outlook, simple as that. Plus if you look at wades businesses and Guelph from when walters was there, it's all the same deal. That point can also be clearly seen in the fact he was brought back in his 3rd year after 2 losing seasons. Very few front offices give guys 3 years. Especially after the complete disaster that came the year prior to mos. Most front offices would've sent him packing to find a vet coach.
  24. In the off season the league rule change committee was seemingly very close to making kick off cover rule changes. It didn't go through (and I'm still not sure about claims that kick cover creates more injuries) but the NFL made the change. With the first week in we can see some of the impact of the changes. I'm enjoying the change a lot, and keeping an average kick depth where the ball is in play most of the time would certainly improve the entertainment factor of kick off returns. 70 is about the longest average kick off, but with wind and outliers that actively ranges up to plus/minus 15 yards. Personally, I think giving kickers a better chance to kick singles and putting the return team in a position to decide if they want to return from just inside their end zone or let it go would be interesting and more balanced. https://operations.nfl.com/the-rules/rules-changes/new-dynamic-kickoff-rule-explainer/ https://sumersports.com/the-zone/kickoff-corner-nfl-week-1-new-dynamic-kickoff-rule/ www. youtube.com/watch?v=PrPyqtulzEM < Every kick off return in week 1
