  1. they are the same age. Nichols has a less polished skill set with less raw up side. Thats why.
  2. thats a good question, on mos knows the answer. I would think nichols would have a decent in side the game leash. If it turns into a massive blow out i dont think he will change. If its close i dont thing he will change. IF nichols is failing and possibly throws the game away then i think he'd make the change.
  3. who is a wr and a kick returner. Flanders isnt either. And we have another Kr on the roster if we need. We are banged up horribly at wr that doesnt mean bring a rb onto the roster we wont use...
  4. this team is banged up some thing fierce. That said davis and mayo have had flashes this year. Rory hasnt been looked to enough and glad to have denmark back.
  5. if you click the down arrow by your user name top right corner of your top bar (scroll all the way to the top) by mail, notification etc just type in the name you want to block and what you want to block from them. If only it worked in the chat too.

man ellenberger with a massive ko of matt brown. Huge punch almost had it off the bat, ended it with some bas rutten esq liver kick.
  7. no kidding. With out the pick by frederick we lose in edmonton. With out juran boldens pick 6 against hammy in 2000 east semi we lose then too. (or was it east final 2001?) There is allways a defensive play that gets the ball back to the offense when a game is won late.
  8. Thats simply not true. 8 carries in the first quarter 7 in the second. 3 in the 3rd. 4 in the 4th. His first run in the 4th was for 22 yards. We ran him twice early twice late in the 4th. http://www.cfl.ca/games/2296/winnipeg-blue-bombers-vs-edmonton-eskimos/#playbyplay
  9. you clearly think he's the answer over willy. a QB doesnt get a start w/l record any more then any other player. And he hasnt won 5 games as a pro hes won far more then that. In those 5 wins in a row he showed and did more then guys like crandell with more. And More then buck did in his time here.
  10. we do but hes a RB. and our wr's have had a tough year as it is we need help at pass catcher.
  11. No its still considered Sts. Same as driving down the field punting and pinning the other team deep.
  12. Biased claims based on vague notions seldom hold up well to facts and stats. If frederick didnt have that pick to save the game and we went on the lose people would be roasting nichols for his inability to score in the red zone and clamoring how he was carried by the OL and run game against the worst defense in the league and that willy would have won the game. Or davis, or some qb from another team that we totally should have had the fore sight to pick up because hind sight and fore sight are equal right?
  13. No they werent. Ac was cut by hammer and we along with most teams didnt have interest in him as a back up. Damon allen lost his starting job and despite a long career in bc was let go with few teams interested as well. Ray had a poor 2010 and a solid bounce back in 2011. His trade was more of a surprise but his best production seemed behind him and in good part due to great pieces around him. Those are just situations off the top of my head that prove your point wrong. Buck pierce, casey printers, marcus crandell and more all had the exact opposite of what you claim happen too. He is in the same league literally. You think a 5 game win streak doesnt put him in the same level as other starters that struggled on under achieving teams and went on to a great deal of success, yet you think one good game against the worst D in the league means Nichols is better? pot meet kettle.
  14. what history is that? Tons of qbs leave teams labeled as done to perform at a high level. Ac, ricky ray, damon allen, etc. Letting go of a guy that age range whose been productive because they under performed in a under performing situation is a good way to re ignite a player.
  15. damn thats soo sad.
  16. You mean the two guys who have been trading being banged up all season? And the same dressler nichols hung out to dry? A side from dressler's first few plays here jace davis out performed him catching the ball and so did harris. Both of whom got very little to no use from nichols. Both those smith and dressler have combined for a ton of drops including atleast 2 bad drops in the end zone. Let me put it into perspective. bowman is 37/54 on catching for 69% as the biggest dropper in the league on a team thats been tied for the most proliffic passing offense in the league so far this year. dressler 32/45 71% smith19/27 70%. Jace davis 76% harris is 30/36 for 83% darvin adams 36/53 68% the top 10 wrs in the league by yards not including adams and bowman are 256/297 for 86%. Drew willy completed 72% of his passes (league average of the top 10 passers is 70% with trevor harris 68% with out his incredible efficiency) this year which is very good, but not surprising with our very short possession passing game plan. And yet STILL we have by far the worst wr catch rate in the league. Basically all our pass catchers aside from harris are living in the bowman zone with out the explosive long plays.
  17. no, but he may become more successful. Better players do not allways prevail in football even at the qb position.
  18. yep he was a monster too. I mean if memory serves correct armstrong had 8+ sacks couple picks and a ton of tackles for a loss but was replaced with out any one batting an eye. Any one hear if he pulled through or not yet?
  19. havent re watched yet ill keep an eye out for that. But we do use a S blitz package with macho due to his athletic ability. He does also have a tendancy to bite early on plays. Loffler really seems to play mid field well and focus on pass pro and not stopping the run soo much. But then edm runs about as often as a 500 lbs neck beard so it could have just been the strategy for edm.
  20. no i forgot to mention edmonton in that. the 3 two win teams and the riders.
  21. he was. Those two playing on the field at the same time could be crazy if he keeps it up. As deep as our corners play, he could play HB xD
  22. probably day to day like every other injured player on the team. xD
