edmonton has given up the most points in the league on D, hammer is 4th. Hammer has the most sacks in the league, edm has the least. Hammer also has the most pass knock downs, edm has 2nd least. Hammer has 2nd most forced fumbles, edm 6th. edm has 2nd fewest turn overs, hammer has 3rd most.

your the one wanting to factor in defense and scores not on offense. we didnt have any drops in the end zone tnite either. Nichols played well tnite. But to try and say he would have turned those 2 losses into wins with the same pieces willy had to work with is beyond insane.

not with that ol and running he wouldnt. Nichols makes worse decisions when pressured then willy does.

Mo had a pick six and we had a pick in the red zone that we scored off of that saved the game. We also gave up a return for a td that game on one of the missed fgs.

28 total points 32/42 76% 279 yards 1 td. 13 for 63 from harris. 2 missed field goals from medlock, and a fumble in the red zone. sacked 3 times. 30 total points 26/33 78% 304 yards 1 td. 22 for 127 from harris with 100+ in the first half. 5/5 from medlock. sacked twice.

driving the field, with running plays and short yardadge every 2nd down.

He did similar with much more on the ol and running game. Dont see how thats different?

the way he played in the first half of the preseason and not again and then how he played tnite i tend to think he was actually hurt. But maybe not. Short of an injury i cant see them changing up this OL. It was and hammer is 100% valid. We beat a better team with much worse ol and running. The difference between willy then and nichols tnite was not that far off. Nichols played very well in the 2nd half and not nearly so well in the 2nd. 18 points kicking because we drove and couldnt finish is as valid. We also had 2 drops in the end zone. And nichols nearly had 2 picsk tnite. So none to the D that came up with a game saving pick? Or the rb who had 100+ yards in a half? None for 18 points from the kicker? Lolok

yeah it was tough loffler and terrence could almost share a spot as with ol and harris. Great team effort tnite.

Pretty much. But unless a massive rash of injures come up around the league all we could do is cut willy for the cap savings. Short of bringing in another vet and a few more wins by nichols i dont see that happening any time soon. Willy might have thrown the game away, he might have choked. Who knows. But he beat hammer and that D is better then edmonton. I wonder how much of our OL play was our guys, and how much was the worst pass rush in the cfl.

With that ol yeah. But maybe chemistry needed a shake up. But the production is in huge part to the ol and harris more then nichols. He could have easily had a couple picks. Remember hamiltons D is much better then edmonton, and with willy we put 26 on them.

hes just that good we expect him to do that pretty crazy isnt it.

yep forgot about the single. That alone would have out scored 3 games and tied our offense for another this year. (including 1 pre season game)

bond wasnt healthy earlier in the year though his coming in and hardick sliding over was huge.

willy did drive the ball just not consistently and not for scores. Our offense drove, with a heavy heavy dose of harris behind a very good ol. nichols didnt score more points then willy. Our offense scored more then any game previously but with running and kicking. Willy lost by 4 to edm with 22 yards from harris and poor ol play. 3 or 4 sacks and 2 fumbles.

we had decent field position a bunch of times especially in the first half when we really played well. Our offense put it up, 100 yards rushing in the first half but medlock still put up all those points. we werent kicking 55 yard fgs either. our red zone production wasnt strong. we should have put up 50 easily.

not to mention medlock put up 17 points.

nichols put up 1 td. medlock put up 17 points

id say bond. Loffler and terrence were bloody brilliant too.

3rd star andrew harris. Huge production, especially in the first half. If we had kept feeding him the game wouldnt have been soo close. 2nd star Matt nichols. Got rid of the ball, drove for 2 tds. Played really well. 1st star frederick terrence. He pick really put momentum on our side with that game saving pick. He and loffler had massive games in a banged up secondary. happy honker Travis bond. Best our OL has played. Sure edmonton hasnt had a good pass rush all year but our OL hasnt looked that good in ages.

no joke. it was some thing like 15 carries in the first and 6 in the second. completely gave up on the pressure release and screen to him too.

are we gonna have this every single week?

100 yards + on some 7 yards per carry in the first half alone. He was beasting.
