Thats cool i guess. Glad he has a good job. Though id rather live any place else in canada then hamilton.

Wonder what less browne is up to. I allways like him as a Position coach. Though iirc he was a lb coach but im not sure.

even if we got 0-18 at least we might have our old school jerseys full time. -
Idk if its lack of talent or of wylie is over rated. I do think we've had a lack of talent but im not sure he's had the impact we'd hoped. I imagine hes among the highest paid ol coaches in the cfl so he could be a spot targeted for a new body. Any way you cut it i do see our coaching being a lot better this year. MoS gets better each week and no bellifool is a huge step forward.

When the rider fans and bomber fans agree you know its an end of days level bad idea. I cant help but laugh at the idea of all the cfl teams going to st louis and playing NFL rules against a team will all americans then them playing canadian rules in the canadian league when they come here. So much bad. just no. Id rather have marcel bellefool back as our OC for 10 years then see this shenanigans. Get an AFL team, or that out door played at college sub cfl league.
-
Dont wanna see the cfl go back to the us. especially if they do that crazy us teams use american players as NI. 10 team league would be ideal imop, but all canadian. Quebec city would be my choice for the next team. Though halifax probably has a better chance.
-
That doesnt include signing bonus though. Generally cfl guys get a decent signing bonus. Idk if they get the per diem money on the pr but thats not a small amount either.
-
EH he didnt do a TC and had been tc/practise roster stuck for a while. Takes some time to get back into the groove of every down player, especially coming back to the cfl. If he stays he will be a force once again.
-
bryant turner at DE. i kid i kid. Its a good point. I wonder if we will go rookie or try and get a proven cfl pass rusher. The DL could be scary good this year.
-
Im looking forward to use getting some people who will make that spot competitive. Thatll be peachy keen.

agree with this. I dont see us having that kind of money especially for a LBer even if its henoc. Could see him being a guy late to camp, or missing it entirely waiting on the nfl.
-
Not adjustments that worked but yes. Any way you cut it we will have to wait and see how he run the off come the regular season. I dont think any one will say hes worse then MB, but he sure hasnt shown to be a top tier OC in the past. Hope for the best prepare for the worst. At worst our offense should be a lot better then last year.
-
MB had mixed reviews, he was oc of a deadily off in sask at one point. There werent and generally arent a lot of high quality OCs easily available. They could have fired him earlier, but it seems that mid season fires isnt how this group running the team does things. Picard, they took a flyer on him. Lets not forget we didnt have any guys that took his job. They needed to do some thing on the OL, and got what was available. Unfortunately he was done, and there just isnt any fast easy way to build a good OL. The off season is still young, lots of time to fix things even more. But many times teams have been off season champions and done poorly come the regular season. Nothing will fix that feeling other then regular season wins. You allways have some of that try and fix it in football. With 18 regular season games and the constraints of the ni/imp system. Some times it works, some times it doesnt. Trying to fit in carries for mike sellers and charles roberts, trying to move guys from db to lb etc.
-
Yeah, not to mention looking at some one elses work and finding holes is easy. Putting together a system, making calls, and adjustments is the biggest challenge of an OC. Oc is the biggest question mark for me. We have a ton of weapons and a qb who can get it to them. But will we see more of the poor offense weve seen previously under plop? The only question nearly as large is the OL. But I think we have some good pieces and the NIs to create flexibility in who we play on the OL.

For fun......what's our 18 game record now?

If we could have gotten bourke we'd a just kept him and byrant and had a good line for once.
-
Yeah.. he gets released theres going to be a feeding frenzy to get him he's not going to be crawling any where. I imagine if hes let go he'd try the nfl try outs again and sign mid season. Assuming they still have interest in him. Id love to have him back no question. But at the price he'll get we have other more important holes to fill.
-
We can run it else where, but given then we have to DI a back up imp RB. And then we'd have to shift a starting import out else where. While we seem to be saddled with IMps on the OL and 3 atm for wrs it wouldnt be easy. With the number of roster spots and how cheap we'd find a canadian rb i think its well worth while to try. Mid to late draft pic maybe some one else like lochard whose been sitting in the cfl.
-
We have to have a canadian to that can take the spot if Harris goes down mid game. Ideally its some one that can keep filling the role so it doesnt cause large shifts in ratio else where. I allways like volny but idk how his knee is. Lochard had a strong college career running behind an incredible line at laval. He was slower then expected, and wasnt that big for a powerback. I wonder what itd take to get anthony coombs in a trade. Dare to dream lol.
-
Need depth at NI rb, some one who can carry the ball and back up. To start a ratio breaking nuck you gotta have another ready to start in case of injury. Aside from that, Depth at OL and a guy or two to push for a starters job, high up side QB to groom, Couple tall Wrs who can push or grow under the guys we have. Think we could still use more competition and depth at returner. Guys who can cover and guys who can pass rush to push guys we have. Pretty happy with our roster so far, not done but certainly shaping up very nicely.

his pieces werent better then what willy has had to work with and on the ol the post 2001 2002 ol khari played in front of wasnt any thing special either.
