  1. Not sure if it would factor into the decision, but on the radio they were mentioning Lankford is actually also our backup punter. Born in '89 so I was technically around when they last won, but I can relate to your plight.
  2. Yeah I didn't mean the location or anything like that, sorry for the confusion.
  3. Heartily agree... provided Winnipeg doesn't underestimate their opponent, they should come out with the W here. Montreal might be fired up though after getting spanked by Toronto this week.
  4. Did anyone else notice that the gadget play was exact same one they ran late in the season last year against B.C.? Only difference was instead of Kohlert throwing it was Darvin Adams.
  5. Obligatory mention that the Bombers ran a prevent D last night to perfection, holding Edmonton to 3 points in the closing minutes of the 4th.
  6. My favorite part of this was it was on Military night, there was probably 30+ fans in the stadium that actually know how to fly planes.
  7. 1. Nichols - Managed the game well with patience, taking what the Eskimos D gave him. Biggest stat for him - 0 picks. 2. The entire D line - they had no sacks, but gotta give them some credit here, they contained Riley and forced him to throw from the pocket instead of picking up first downs with his legs. It takes disciplined play from the entire line to be able to do that and not get greedy. 3. Randle - I know the D had some lapses/unlucky breaks, but that pick before the half led to a TD, and completely swung momentum for the Bombers. Not to mention it was the difference on the scoreboard at the end of the night. Gotta mention that HH - Lapolice called a fantastic game, I also liked that the very first snap after Harris' fumble, Lapo went right back to him, instead of shying away. Showed trust in his RB and commitment to the running game - also good use of the Harris/Flanders combo.
  8. Are you sure it wasn't 13? I feel like the Esks had 13 men trying to catch Harris, and still couldn't do it.
  9. Wiecek can sling mud from his ivory tower all he wants, I'll be watching the Blue & Gold from my seats with the rest of the city of Winnipeg.
  10. I'm pretty sure it's -3 points for Edmonton if we block an Edmonton field goal through their own uprights.
  11. ^ This. Also, for those that have workplaces that allow it, highly recommend taking the Friday following a Thursday night home game off. Makes for some awesome long weekends and means you don't end up leaving the stadium with 1:40 left because you have to "get up early".
  12. Wpg vs. Ham Ti-cats are pigs that Need more lipstick than some of Riderville faithful
  13. Doing this is totally allowed by the rules, and yet there is a consensus its a dirty move... yet there is no opportunity cost for the team doing it. Why not? I mean it makes the other team have to shuffle their roster if they think the player is legitimate - and if not, you get a swing at a potential gem on another teams' PR.
  14. A receiver from the west I am, My career was to be a grand slam, Drafted eleventh overall, During a Bomber overhaul, From Regina Ram to retired lamb
  15. Isn't that why he's on defense? I thought cover guys were just WRs that can't catch.
  16. According to CFL.ca Richards career stats is 1 catch (in 2015 no less) for 12 yards. I guess quit while you're ahead?
  17. I know Hurl has been a bit of a whipping boy, but I thought he's filled in quite well in Wild's absence. Obviously Wild is better, but it's football, players get hurt. I think the idea of moving Corney doesn't show the MLB position much respect - it isn't as simple as just changing where you line up on the snaps, it's an entirely different position to play with different responsibilities.
  18. It was part of the 2016 rules update.
  19. I know we're trying to keep pace with B.C. in the standings, but cheering for a Rider win just feels wrong.
  20. A disincentive is certainly an interesting idea, as it would prevent "phishing". Good coaches would still be able to spot incorrect calls and prevent their team from getting ousted by the refs. I think the big problem with any further changes to the system is too many changes in a short span of time means you don't get to see the impact the previous changes had made, also it'll make us look even more "bush league", and confuse some of the more layman fans.
  21. Surely Floyd, you jest As SpeedFlex27, Was happy with win
  22. I'm pretty sure in the final 3 minutes of a game, the receiving team can't elect to take the ball at the 35. Campbell couldn't elect to take the ball at the 35 - even if he wanted to.
  23. 2017-08-04 Best defense? Good O, O'Shea out-coaches something, Money Medlock? Game.
