  1. Gotta say TrueBlue4ever, I was kind of banking on most people not knowing what gerrymandering is. Thanks for calling my bluff.
  2. Fun fact: Only two CFL teams have ever hosted a cross-over playoff game and lost. Kevin Glenn was the quarterback for both of those teams (Winnipeg in 2008 and Hamilton in 2009). This is also the only CFL record he holds. Nichols starts.
  3. Go with the hot hand - it's Nichols' starting job to lose.
  4. Does this mean the pick-6 Glenn threw to Moe Leggett in our win over Montreal a few weeks ago is now a touchdown pass?
  5. Does anyone else feel the Bombers did this just so our D can beat the crap out of Willy come Friday? Is he projected to start? Oh the humanity...
  6. Enjoyed your post, but I hate this statistic - I find it misleading. As interesting as it is that the Bombers hadn't swept a back-to-back series in such a long time, they have swept other series during that time span... in fact we've already swept our series with Hamilton this year (although it wasn't a back-to-back series). To me, it just seems like gerrymandering the numbers to falsely make the Bombers look bad.
  7. HH goes to the fans... that place was bedlam yesterday.
  8. Congratulations Riders on another losing season! Here's hoping you can continue the trend in 2017.
  9. I would just like to take this opportunity to personally congratulate the Saskatchewan Roughriders on 2016 officially being a losing season for them. For you Rider fans that aren't very numerically inclined, that means you've already lost more than 50% of the games you'll play in this season...regardless of your game day attendance, Chris Jones rants, or being "Canada's team".
  10. Bring a second laptop from home, hook it up to your works' network - best of both worlds... Bomber game streamed without the risk of being fired.
  11. Cautiously optimistic.
  12. Trade him back to the Riders.
  13. This thread is entertaining, to say the least..
  14. Maybe Sheppard had a bad case of the dropsies? As for McDuffie playing over Sheppard - the coaches made the best decision they could with the information available to them at the time. I'm just glad we hung on to Sheppard and hope he continues his strong play.
  15. Has nobody told the Riders that money trees aren't a real thing?
  16. Maybe this isn't the place to bring this up, but does anyone else feel that the whole east/west division should be abolished? I mean, there's only 9 teams in the league... why not just have the top 6 make the playoffs? It seems this cross-over thing is an issue every year, I know the counter-argument would be that it makes games against your own division more important... but doesn't it also make non-divisional games less important?
  17. I find it even more appalling that the same fans waste so many watermelons.
  18. For anyone else keeping track, Goosen also basically threw Harris into the endzone for one of his TDs against Toronto. Seems to be good at making heads-up plays.
  19. My personal favorite was when they got penalized for too many men... that stuff never gets old.
  20. I'm just sayin' - Weston Dressler has never lost a LDC in his career.
  21. Alright well it's good to know the general consensus on here is that they are the real deal... thanks for the feedback everyone!
  22. Alright, don't get me wrong I'm just as elated as anyone else here about the Bombers recent win streak and I certainly hope it continues. That said, if you take a look at the current standings as of today (Note: Calgary/Hamilton haven't played their Week 10 game yet): East Ottawa 4-4 Hamilton 4-4 Toronto 4-4 Montreal 3-6 West Calgary 6-1 BC 6-3 Winnipeg 5-4 Edmonton 5-4 Saskatchewan 1-8 Our current 4-game winning streak was with wins against EDM, HAM, TOR and MON - 3 of the 4 of which are under .500. Also, 2 of our 5 wins so far this year came against a Masoli-led Hamilton squad. Is anyone else concerned this current run might be just smoke and mirrors, like the start of the 2014 season that saw the Bombers start out 5-1 against weaker opponents?
  23. Bad teams find excuses for losses such as blaming the refs, fans ... someone farted while I was kicking that field goal etc... good teams fight through adversity and find ways to win.
