  1. ^ This! They've been changing the rules so much ever since they introduced the PI as something that can be challenged. I also find it mildly funny that in an attempt to reduce delays, the refs now have to notify the crowd (and the coach) they will be charged a timeout...which inherently increases the delay.
  2. As much as I would've loved to see the Riders get blown out here - it's probably a good thing they lost to EDM by so little, it'll hopefully help keep the egos of Bomber players in check and prevent them from underestimating next weeks game at Mosaic.
  3. Riders actually properly execute onside kick after scoring touchdown. Promptly follow up brief spark with two and out. Classic.
  4. I have two favorite teams every week in the CFL: 1. As always, the Winnipeg Blue Bombers 2. Whatever team beats the Riders.
  5. Ottawa fails once again at helping the Blue & Gold in their bid to move up in the West standings .. hopefully the Bombers can keep pace tomorrow night against the Als.
  6. As others have said, Durant has quite a few more miles on him than Willy... I wouldn't make that trade unless there was an additional upside (for salary purposes etc.) Also, of the two I think Willy has the better team aspect to him, Durant seems like he is a bit arrogant at times which can only cause dissent among the ranks. Edit: Thanks Noeller for point out my mistake :\
  7. AHA! A conspirator reveals his true form! It's official, the entire league is against the Riders, Pederson and anything the colour green.
  8. RE: Bias reporting: It's not a lie, if you believe it. There's always multiple sides to every story and a certain aspect of spin doctoring is omnipresent.
  9. You got me iso, I have no idea.
  10. Although a starting QB can obviously be a leader and rally the troops through adversity, that doesn't necessarily mean Nichols has turned around the entire team by himself. What goes on in the Bombers locker room is unknown to anyone on MBB. You're right that it could be Nichols' that's lit the fire, it could also be O'Shea's speeches, the D playing fantastic, something in the water, or any combination of these or other factors. Nobody really knows why they've suddenly come to life the past few games, but I hope it continues. What is for certain though, is that unfortunately QBs do get injured in this league. The thought of Dominique Davis as our backup if they were to release Willy and get caught with their pants down again (if Nichols were to get injured) is terrifying. If it were me and cash flow really is becoming an issue I'd look at other places to cut before releasing Willy, there are much easier areas to "trim the fat" than at QB where the Bombers have been starved for so long.
  11. Well, technically he is correct, every game the Bombers do start somebody on the offensive line. Whether it's a group of security guards in need of some $$$ or actual y'know... professional football players is entirely up for debate.
  12. It's about time the Blue and Gold started paying dividends to their dedicated shareholders.
  13. Unless we started a Nokia phone at QB, those things are indestructible.
  14. Logically, the 2013 Bombers, until proven otherwise the Roughriders still have a little over half a season left. Although I doubt they'll do anything fantastic, they could theoretically scrounge a couple of wins later in the year, especially when other teams have playoff hopes fade away and they just play for pride.
  15. The foreseeable future will show us just how dark Burris' inflated ego is and it's effect on the Redblacks. It's one of the reasons I didn't want to see him come to Winnipeg a few years ago. It'll be interesting to see how he handles being the backup role, will he graciously continue to contribute to his team, despite being the former leader now benched? Or will he throw a numerous hissy fits and cause dissent among the ranks? I feel that his rant the other day won't be the last temper tantrum we'll see from him. Who's going to own the East? Right now it looks like the Ti-cats but who knows...
  16. They could try out some of their new cutting-edge 13-men formations like they did in the '09 Grey Cup.
  17. Yep, we're in the same boat, I was 1 when they last were champs. Good things come to those who wait.
  18. I'd like to think that aside from Randle, all the other defensive injuries mentioned need to earn their spot back - coincides with the 'next man up' mentality. Football definitely is a "what have you done lately?" sport and most of the stocks of our D are riding pretty high right now, take those players out as necessary when they give you a reason to, whether it be from injury or poor play.
  19. Agreed, using your example they likely wouldn't confirm or deny the Riders - or any other CFL team for that matter, was under investigation. Logic would dictate that it'd be done that way in order to prevent the investigation from becoming compromised. I find the idea that BLM would be concerned or knowledgeable about anything the Riders were doing in practice farfetched. As a CFL QB he's got enough other stuff such as studying film practice etc. to keep him busy that would prevent him from being a Magnum PI on the side.
  20. Any time of year is a good time to not be in Saskatchewan.
  21. Based on this definition - won't the RF forum ban every forum user and self-implode?
  22. 2016 Saskatchewan Roughriders - proudly above league rules and below .500.
