  1. Instant noodles were invented - which are just about as bland as Saskatchewan.
  2. Just remember they have the same number of Grey Cups (4) as the Toronto Varsity Blues. The Blues stopped competing for the Grey Cup in like the 1930s lol.
  3. So stupid on the part of the player. Exact wrong kind of publicity in a market that has struggled for years. At least the suspension is somewhat substantial; I am all for fan engagement, but opponent or not this type of behavior from the fan and player is simply not on.
  4. Old news is old but guys remember when he decided to release Weston Dressler which helped kickstart rebuilding our entire receiving core? Thanks Jonesy!
  5. I feel like the defensive lineman you are referring to is Almonda Sewell, but I cant source it bc im lazy af right now Christmaaaaaaaas
  6. In other dumping-on-the-Riders news, consider THEIR longest Grey Cup drought was almost double the length of ours (1910 - 1966, 56 years)
  7. This is the same franchise founded 2 years after the Model T was created (the first mass produced automobile), that didnt win their first Grey Cup until 3 years before the first man landed on the moon (1966 first Grey Cup) right?
  8. Other fun things to note... One of my favourite players (Kenny Ploen) has as many Grey Cup victories (4) with the bombers as their entire franchise. He alao did it in 5 years. Also... I did the math on this forum in an earlier post.... more people in history have gone to the moon than players that won multiple Grey Cups with the Riders.
  9. Can confirm from a reputable source he has two Grey Cup Championship rings.
  10. Honestly to me he's looked like Dominique Davis 2.0, has the right tools and on paper looks like a great QB, but just can't seem to put it all together.
  11. Funner fact: The Riders' have never won championships back-to-back. Even funner fact: The Rider's trade to give up Pat Neufeld gave them one championship, and in exchange helped us break the drought, and get a back-to-back in return. That there is some good Rider maths.
  12. Obviously a stellar on-field product helps with enjoying the games, but lets not forget the complete transformation from old ownership to when Wade and Co took over. One of the things i remember old crew being clueless about was having concession staff come up at down the rows with lotto scratch tickets. I will never remember one game this poor girl was doing it and my dad (in good jest) just halfheartedly asked if she had any beer lol. Who tf wants to do a scratch ticket in the middle of a football game?!? Does anyone else remember this.
  13. I credit the lean Bombers years with my ability to grasp probabilty so easily because week after week I would calculate their dwindly playoff percentages to get in lol.
  14. So it'd stay pretty much the same then.
  15. The most points this D gave up all year was 30 in the Toronto loss. In the CFL, that is absolutely insane. Not to mention in that game the D forced SIX turnovers. In the long run though, that loss was probably good and humbling. If they waltz into HAM 14-0 or even 12-2 and a bit arrogant I dont think they win that one.
  16. I dont think Mourtada comes back.
  17. To me it didnt look intentional. Also, Evans looked horrendous in that game... Masoli gave the Cats a huge spark when he stepped in
  18. Even though they were backbreaking, kudos to ZC for making the effort on his INTs and preventing a pick 6. That barn would have gone bonanza if that'd happened.
  19. Tbh on the TSN highlights it looked like the returner legit didn't realize a touchback there on a kickoff gave up a point...
  20. 1. ZC - Made some poor decisions but buckled down when it mattered most and didn't flinch in OT. Also he was still good despite getting knocked around by HAM a bit more than he's used to. 2. Castillo - was 100% on FGs and PATs. He even added a pair of rouges, which ended up being huge. 3. The entire defense... Seriously they won by committee. When you consider how many times the offense put them in a bind... The fact they only surrendered 2 TDs is spectacular. HH - Winston Rose - it really looked on the replay like he intentionally tipped that ball to Wilson, knowing Wilson was in position to make the INT.
  21. Pretty sure you have to take the kickoff with under 3 mins. No option.
  22. No no no he took a knee just like they do to end practice, remember?!?!
  23. HH to that HAM kick returner that gave up the rouge down by 2!!!
  24. So like, this Arkell guy KNOWS he is supposed to be impartial?...
