Cool story! First off - Carol is a class act and just generally a wonderful person to talk to. I've been a season ticket holder since 2011, but we always try to renew our tickets with her, if we can. My broadcasting memories are few and far between, though I will say one of my favorite Irving calls was the "Better late than never" lightning game on August 3, 2016. I was on vacation in Ontario at the time and out staying out a cabin, with the time change it was even later there! Game took forever to get going but the Bombers absolutely steamrolled the Ti-Cats. I just remember playing cards with my wife pretty late, then just laying down, listening to Irving's smooth voice as he called the game, all in a living room that looked like it came straight out of the 1970s. I want the Riders to win because (1) They (supposedly) have less unvaccinated players which would reduce the chance of an outbreak infecting the Bombers. (2) The thought of our club profiting off Rider fans coming to IGF paying to watch their team get spanked is nothing short of poetic.

Nah, i would look at it from this perspective... He's hurt and the #2. Putting him in a nothing game risks him complicating his injury further, besides with the game being meaningless, there was little upside in starting him. I am sure if that were a playoff game McGuire could have gone if necessary.

As much as I love Streveler, it just doesn't make sense.. New OC, same recievers... Also although McGuire/Brown are by no means worldbeaters, they were serviceable if the unthinkable happens. Not only that... What kind of message would that send to Brown/McGuire if we just airlift someone in like that? Especially right before the playoffs.

Seems like we may have another case of Dominique Davis 2.0, has the good physique etc. on paper, but can't diagnose defenses properly. Hopefully next time he gets a chance he can prove us wrong.
