Nah, i would look at it from this perspective... He's hurt and the #2. Putting him in a nothing game risks him complicating his injury further, besides with the game being meaningless, there was little upside in starting him. I am sure if that were a playoff game McGuire could have gone if necessary.

As much as I love Streveler, it just doesn't make sense.. New OC, same recievers... Also although McGuire/Brown are by no means worldbeaters, they were serviceable if the unthinkable happens. Not only that... What kind of message would that send to Brown/McGuire if we just airlift someone in like that? Especially right before the playoffs.

Screw that have him fill in for Harris at RB lol.

Marino was also one of the two players thrown out of the Banjo Bowl this year. -

I missed the game last night - someone fill me in on the important stuff... Did Wilder flex!??!?! -
He could've filled in as kicker before we re-found Castillo.

LOL Montreal right now. Redblacks on pace to be just the 3rd team in CFL history to average less than a touchdown per game in offensive points. -
LMAO Montreal, you serious right now?

Also I cant imagine how frustrating it would be to be in a workplace where not everyone is in favour of vaccinations. Especially in football where you may be also tackling that person in practice and getting up close and personal

Was Ali Mourtada. Thats DEFINITELY why they got rid of him.

Next time you screw up at work just remember someone was paid to put this Redblacks roster together -
Maybe its a cap thing? Perhaps he's loaded and is paying the Bombers to let him play.

I thought that was what everyone else here was doing too 😂

I mean, end of the day its just so the club can retain ~$100 of your money early. Lots of clubs do it now as a means to better manage cash flow

3 stars plus scape goat 2nd last pre season edition

Seems like we may have another case of Dominique Davis 2.0, has the good physique etc. on paper, but can't diagnose defenses properly. Hopefully next time he gets a chance he can prove us wrong. -
Personally I blame those pesky defensive players
-
Nah. They are professionals, yes, but the Als still have something to play for (hosting the East Semi Final). I would be very surprised if this game is even close, but the reasoning by the coaching staff is understandable and rational. Als 24 Wpg 10

I will also say that the Nintendo Switch has a subscription package option - for $25 a year you get access to a slew of old NES and SNES games on emulator format. It's the equivalent of XBox Live or whatever, except as an emulator you can pause and rewind games. It's nice because if I (for example) wanted to dredge up and play some old Tecmo Bowl on the NES, instead of dragging out my old NES and finding the cartridge - you can access it through the Switch membership in minutes. Also lets you more easily save your progress, so if you're not technologically inclined (i.e., you aren't comfortable ripping and setting up your own emulator) it's a nice alternative. They also recently rolled out a 'premium' version that includes old N64 games, though the annual membership fee is quite a bit higher ($65 annually, before taxes, I think?) Just food for thought. I will also say that for myself - I have owned the following: SNES, gameboy, N64, Gamecube, PS2, Xbox, Xbox 360, Switch as well as the Gameboy Advance, DS and 3DS. I'm only mentioning this to provide context - and to point out that, quite obviously I'm a bit biased towards Nintendo products. I can't really speak to either Playstation or Xbox, at least the more recent models.

As a grown adult - highly recommended. Though I will say if RPGs are your cup of tea, it can be a bit sparse - if you like a variety of game types though - and also enjoy being able to play games with your wife / child casually - the Switch is great. Only complaint I have with it is Nintendo hasn't come to an agreement with Netflix, so it doesn't have that on it.

Perfect. Sounds like a repeat of 2019

2001 was a great regular season, but there were definitely some instances of Lady Luck being on our side. The only game I felt we were lucky to eke out a win was the 18-16 win over Calgary. As for players getting complacent - I just can't see that happening with O'Shea or this core group of players.

Ultimate goal is the Grey Cup. I would much rather another GC on an 11-3 season instead of going 13-1 and getting bounced in the West Final due to injuries to key players
-
I am just saying home field advantage is a very real thing.
-
If they win: Great, they won. Keep rolling. If they lose: Okay, well maybe MTL can catch HAM for hosting the East Semi-Final... Last thing I want is us to face HAM, at home, in a Grey Cup

Personally, I always liked the pilot project used by Stockholm, Sweden. Cameras are fitted to issue tickets, but also track when vehicles obey or are below the speed limit. Drivers that obey the rules are entered into a lottery to win cash prizes. The prize pool is funded by the fines of people that speed. Of course, Winnipeg would never go for this idea because we actively rely upon speeding ticket revenue.
