  1. Yesterday the offense turned the ball over 3 times, twice because of Harris. Our STs completely outplayed EDM, and because of being able to flip the field, instead of turning the ball over, Matt Nichols yet again, gave them a chance to win. Nothing shows how much this is a witch hunt than the fact that Harris turned it over twice, and yet Nichols is still somehow getting more heat.
  2. Well, in terms of a game of similar fashion... how about the Stamps almost-collapse against us back on September 24, 2016? Parades hit a 52-yarder with under a minute left after the Bombers stormed back in the second half, they were up 30-14 heading to the 4th and almost choked.
  3. HH to Tburgess for convincing Edmonton brass that all Trevor Harris has to do is have a 300+ yard game and they'll win.
  4. This really doesn't make sense to me... anyone that's going to buy food at the game is ... at the game, not watching it on the tube. The only way this makes sense to me would be if they were somehow earning extra revenue off it (ad revenue?), but even that's a stretch, that or food revenue is down drastically league-wide. Unfortunately, I think like many other cable companies, TSN underestimated the drop-off as cord-cutters begin to age up and become the dominating market.
  5. Every 'Riders loss is game of the week in my books...
  6. Sure - but Esks did so in their own back yard, we won on the road.
  7. Did some digging... the closest thing I could find was when George Allen as head coach of the Los Angeles Rams was fired after just 2 preseason games in 1978, so I think that's worse than after the first regular season game?
  8. Well, seeing as how their fiscal year-end is March 2018, it'd likely be payments made by 2018 season tickets holders for services not provided yet. Winnipeg's would be lower because less people paid for the upcoming 2019 season that early (Winnipeg's fiscal year-end is December 2018 instead).
  9. Is there a way for the 'Riders to somehow get an additional loss out of this? That would ideally be the best outcome in my opinion...
  10. Actually... the Bombers have more cash on-hand than the 'Riders do, just sayin'. Riders financials (see page 22): https://d3ham790trbkqy.cloudfront.net/wp-content/uploads/sites/5/2015/11/SaskRoughriders_AnnualReport1718_web.pdf Bombers financials (see page 24): https://d3ham790trbkqy.cloudfront.net/wp-content/uploads/sites/6/2019/04/2018-Winnipeg-Blue-Bombers-Annual-Report.pdf
  11. I did not realize they were that thin at RB.
  12. You are correct sir, I had the wrong year (2014) and round (2nd, which is what SSK had - not what WPG got). Thank you for correcting me.
  13. I completely disagree with this... when the Bombers made this trade (October 6, 2013) we were 2-12. Hall was on the last year of his contract and the 'Riders overpaid for him because they were gearing up for a GC run...the pick ended up being for Jesse Briggs, who's turned into a consistent special teams guy. That's not to say we swindled the Riders, it was simply a trade of short-term assets for longer-term assets.
  14. St. James Burger's on Ness (formerly space taken up by Red Boot) is pretty good, they also donate a portion of their tips to charities for Veterans which is a nice gesture.
  15. Shot in the dark here, but if you have good document-keeping (and kept your sale agreement from the cottage sale) that might have their contact info on it... it'd really depend on how far back we're talking here, most people don't change their phone/land line number unless they absolutely have to. Aside from that, you could try a reverse phone number site if you haven't done that already... sorry that's all I got.
  16. It's probably pass interference - just sayin'.
  17. 1. Matt Nichols - As always, respectable and unlike his counterpart - no turnovers. 2. Wolitarsky - 2 TDs and was clutch when he needed to be. 3. Hecht - 2 picks that were massive. HH - Brandon Alexander for the heads-up play to flip the ball to Fenner on the convert block - it was only 2 points, but I think that really changed momentum.
  18. Is it still a QB controversy for the Als if all of them are terrible?
  19. Montreal radio announcers mentioned T. Harris has had Montreal's # of late... his career stats against the Als? 19 TDs / 0 INTs and a QB rating of 100+.
  20. Congrats 'Riders on being the first team **officially** winless out of the gate.
  21. 2016 (MTL) - 9 GP - 222/314 for 2,547 yards, 13 TDs, 11 INTs 2016 (WPG) - 1 GP, 2/4 for 16 yards, 0 TDs, 0 INTs 2017 (SSK) - 17 GP, 318/468 for 4,038 yards, 25 TDs, 14 INTs So in total, 786 attempts in the last 3 years... in 2016 SSK had a combined 610 passing attempts, so a bit more than half (468/610 = 76%).. though it should be noted that this number likely understates the total passing plays on the year (for example, if a QB got sacked, it wouldn't count as a passing attempt)
  22. I think this is the difference between mutually agreeing to leave/quit, and being outright fired?
  23. I remember that game, that was also Mike O'Shea's first win as a head coach. They also ran a sick fake punt on 3rd down to Feoli-Guidino that completely fooled the Argos.
  24. There were some transactions for BC for Hakeem Johnson today though, that might be causing the confusion...
  25. This piqued my curiosity - couldn't they just list the backup at a different position, then have him on the field... for example list him as a RB, then just have him take direct snaps, similar to just calling a trick play (for example a fake punt) I assume there's a rule that you have to have 1 QB or something on offense,
