While Randle struggled at first he did get the position down. However, he is far better and far more valuable on the corner. Find a SAM and get Randle back in his natural position (and give him an extension).

A good secondary. Move Randle back to the corner and find a SAM LB. we need a secondary that isn't going to let everything underneath get caught. Dlinemen. Three more interior OLinemen (one as backup). Receivers. NIs that can start and be a threat. A QB that can stay healthy. A running game. A moving pocket. Etc. I am certain only two demands will be met and they will continue to claim that fans need to be patient as they continue to do the 30 year rebuild.

According to the guy he called the Bomber office and was told that the number on the site was correct. Clearly at some point they checked after it went unclaimed, made the correction to the website without attempting to contact the winner who had apparently called them. You would think they would manage the situation a little more carefully. The initial mistake is one thing, how they handled it is what is going to get them in **** with lotteries. Clearly mistakes were made on both sides. I just think people are blowing this way out of proportion. They have run many more successful draws than not. While an investigation is necessary it will not prevent future mistakes from being made. It is a human run enterprise and humans make mistakes. How we learn from and deal with them is the important thing. There is no perfect human designed system.

Baseball is boring. I don't dislike or decry the Riders just many of their fans who are full of themselves, rude, etc. Unlike many of the broadcasters I remember how not too long ago these supposed "best fans in the league" were mostly sitting at home on game day. It took some really hard work and some winning to turn that around. Honestly? I think the best fans in Canada are Leafs fans. How long have they been the model of futility and yet they always seem to have a full house? All CFL teams would kill to have fans like that.

The Riders did what many other teams have done. Hervey could have denied the right to talk to Jones. He didn't. IMHO all this crying is just envy because we have proven losers running this organization while Sask went out and hired proven winners. Despite Sask's record last season they have many more quality players on the roster and it should be very easy to turn the team around. Bombers ... Not so much.

Sounds like an error that anyone could make. I have to wonder why the winner saw the number at the game just didn't go to the bomber office and verify it there rather than the website. Sure they should have checked and double-checked the number before posting but transcription errors happen. They caught it and are dealing with the problem and that is all they or any organization can do.

Meh. I like the person, never liked his conservative offence. However, there wasn't a lot of choice out there for MOS and Walters to save their jobs. Now it is up to Walters to actually get some decent players for LaPo to work with. If he has the same crew you can guarantee that there will be some major house cleaning in the coaching and management ranks. I have zero confidence in Walters, btw. Sorry LaPo

Details? When and for what position? If I am not mistaken after they canned Burke, Jones was on their list and he wasn't interested. He went to Edmonton instead (probably because they were not a utterly talentless lot and had a good GM).

Apparently BMO is going to operate with 17 yd. endzones, 3 yds shorter than regulation. I heard this too. That could prove interesting for visiting teams.

Yep, from where I was sitting it was at least 60/40 RB's, at least in the 1st half. There were a few "Hennnnnrrryyyy" chants that came out in my section as the game went a long and he started to disappear. On TV it sounded at first like a RB favouring crowd then slid more towards Edmonton. I found that pretty interesting.

Great post! I also think that having Edmonton and Ottawa was the best possible outcome for this game as I think that it ensured that the game would sell out. It has been a long time since I have seen such a chess match for a GC game.

The tickets were too pricey. They made the mistake of hosting the game before they had a decent team. However, they were blessed in the end by getting two teams who have rabid and hungry fans. So it all worked out in the end. It is too bad that they had to scale back the seating plans but in the end they will make good coin and that is good for this club.

Ottawa will have won more GCs than Winnipeg before Winnipeg wins another GC. At one time this thought would have ticked me off, now I just want the team to prove these kind of statements wrong. So far they have failed miserably at it ... I would be super happy if they made me eat my words. Based on the last several years though I will continue to starve.

Yeah Wally has really faded in the last few years. He should have retired after the last BC GC win.
