Until 65- 70% of the population are vaccinated expect a roller coaster of new cases especially with the new variants, get your shots people when it's your turn, supposedly we will be getting less doses in the coming week, but then a flood of doses will arrive from both Pfizer and Moderna and also Astra Zaneca and J&J

Active cases finally got adjusted and fell under 1000, yes numbers in the North have gone up but those should start falling in the coming week, numbers in the Winnipeg area considering that restrictions have eased a bit and in dining is slowly happen is about as good as can be expected number wise, week by week more and more are getting vaccinated and while we may never fully eradicate this virus we are well on the way to controlling it and treating it.

The current five-day COVID-19 test positivity rate is 3.2 per cent provincially and 2.6 per cent in Winnipeg. As of 9:30 a.m. today, 51 new cases of the virus have been identified. This brings the total number of lab-confirmed cases in Manitoba to 32,051. Case investigations continue and if a public health risk is identified, the public will be notified. Today’s COVID-19 data shows: zero cases in Interlake-Eastern health region; 26 cases in the Northern health region; zero cases in the Prairie Mountain Health region; three cases in the Southern Health-Santé Sud health region; and 22 cases in the Winnipeg health region.
