Congrats to all the Manitobans who flaunted restrictions and decided freedom dictated no vaccination, thanks for plugging up the hospitals for your liberties, hope it was worth it maybe you learned something but I doubt it. -
Government have no more answers doing the bare minimum with restrictions and enforcement that always come a day late, once again after today's talking to you get the impression that the only move left is to ride out this wave hope that not too many people die and try to get people vaccinated, unfortunately people will continue to get this virus, people will not get vaccinated and people will continue to die, how much longer is anyone's guess, but I'm hopeful that come early June that we can start to put all of this behind us.

Small reprieve in the icu's as the count has gone down by 4, if they keep shipping people out of the province I'm sure that they can get down to zero

NEW Last updated: May 20, 2021 Public health officials advise three new deaths in a person with COVID-19 has been reported today: a female in her 40s from the Winnipeg health region, linked to the B.1.1.7 variant of concern; a male in his 50s from the Winnipeg health region; and a male in his 70s from Southern Health-Santé Sud, linked to the B.1.1.7 variant of concern. The current five-day COVID-19 test positivity rate is 13.8 per cent provincially and 15.3 per cent in Winnipeg. As of 9:30 a.m. today, 603 new cases of the virus have been identified. However, one case has been removed due to data correction. This brings the net-new number of cases today to 602 and the total number of lab-confirmed cases in Manitoba to 46,916. Today’s COVID-19 data shows: 20 cases in the Interlake-Eastern health region; 36 cases in the Northern health region; 41 cases in the Prairie Mountain health region; 97 cases in the Southern Healthؘ-Santé Sud health region; and 409 cases in the Winnipeg health region The data also shows: 4,659 active cases and 41,238 individuals who have recovered from COVID-19; 232 people in hospital with active COVID-19 as well as 59 people in hospital with COVID-19 who are no longer infectious but continue to require care, for a total of 291 hospitalizations; 56 people in intensive care units with active COVID-19 as well as 20 people with COVID-19 who are no longer infectious but continue to require critical care, for a total of 76 ICU patients; 3,619 laboratory tests were completed yesterday, bringing the total number of lab tests completed since early February 2020 to 735,315, and the total number of deaths in people with COVID-19 is 1,019.

14 months plus into this pandemic and somehow we are is a worst situation than the first two waves and that's with vaccines available , Government is broken, Heath care is broken, Families are broken

Well he did answer 1 question I was wondering about and if he can be believed it sounds like the majority that are in our icu's have not been vaccinated, it's to bad though that something as simple as getting vaccinated can help you not clog up the icu in this province, shame that some are to stupid or to cool to be vaccinated but want to tempt faith in large gatherings with people that they don't know.

Confidentiality for patients would probably put the kibosh on that unfortunately, but these people really bug me with the give me rights and liberties and when they get sick because of their own stupidity, save me

I would really like to know how many of these icu patients have had 1 dose or two and when they got the vaccine, I would also like to know how many have not been vaccinated and attended rallies or gatherings flaunting restrictions and now bringing our heath care systems to it's knees

Democrats need to grow a pair, they control everything go ahead with the 1/6 commission on your own if you have too, and enforce your subpoena's, make all the Republicans that were involved and complicit testify for the world to see what garbage human beings they are

Democrats need to stand up and tell the Republicans that they are in charge, the 1/6 commission will happen people will be subpoenaed and anyone not responding to said subpoena will be arrested and brought before the commission, if they don't want to answer question they can do so for all Americans to see, none of this absolute immunity garbage they got away with before
So Kevin McCarthy opposes the 1/6 commission, could you imagine when he gets subpoenaed and tells the American public that he begged Trump for help and Trump did nothing

The virus will continue it's roller coaster ride this week, getting vaccinated is the only way we will put a dent in the cases at this point and that's going to take more time. I don't think it's going to get as bad as some of the experts think it will as closing dine in, gyms, schools and more have to help but we will have to see

From the just because you got vaccinated file, as most of us may know or not know the vaccine does not mean you wont get Covid, which brings me to a story from my Yankees baseball team where vaccinated coaches and personnel from the team who have been vaccinated caught Covid, all are asymptomatic, this where it gets interesting as their shortstop Gleybor Torres who caught Covid in the offseason and was also recently vaccinated caught the virus again, it may be rare but it will happen
