Can't see any of the top 3 picks being traded away, the Jets will probably continue to stockpile prospects till after the expansion draft if their is one an may trade when Chevy feels the team is ready to be a perennial playoff contender and or trade for some one to get the team over the top.
He just made to many mistake for a guy that had been in the league a few years not surprised by the move or any of the other ones this team needs to get better and find better players.
Edmonton needs to spend money on defence not a guy who thinks he's worth 6 mil for 6 years plus he didn't like the rebuild plans in Winnipeg and Edmonton seems to be spinning it's wheels. Ladd doesn't have many options especially if the cap stays at the same number.
Why Ladd did not resign with Winnipeg is between Chevy and himself, did he over value himself, did he not want to be part of a rebuild/retool i have no idea but i think the Jets have moved on. He may take less money to play for a contender but he wont to play here.
I don't know he won a championship nothing to prove in college and is leaving money on the table that he will probably never make up really not exactly a sure thing to make the nhl makes me wonder that he wants to become a free agent, wouldn't be the first guess we will see after next year.
If Yeo can't find work in the NHL as a head coach his best option might be to coach the Moose and help them become a winning team, team has a lot of prospects and he is a very good teacher of the game.
Hearing that some NDP dippers are already fleeing to Alberta. that province is in for a world of hurt if there cash cow doesn't rebound in the next year
I know a few paramedics and if the administrators would listen they have some very good ideas on how to solve this problem, believe me they would rather be out doing there job than waiting around a hospital for hours on end.
