  1. By losing to Hamilton we have now made it a bit harder for Saskatchewan to cross over. That’s the only silver lining I can take from this one. Hopefully this thought can help some of you feel better about today as well.
  2. Defence having a terrible day. Are all the injuries finally catching up with us or is this just a blip?
  3. I’m sure the announcers said he is the second most targeted Bomber this year. Obviously not being injured for any games has helped with that and targets per game may put him lower on the totem pole but he has been looked for. That said he’s played well all year and I’m glad to see him get some numbers on the stat sheets to validate that.
  4. Geez BC looks like a mess. Pipkin was pulled too early I feel. Adams isn’t looking very good at all on just a few practice reps with a new team.
  5. That wasn't quite enough for me. Against Calgary he had a game you should be able to expect from any pro on any night. That didn't make up for the Montreal game. Yesterday did.
  6. To me getting that punt off versus having it blocked or being tackled for a TOD was just as big a play as the 55 yard game winning FG. Leggs erased that Montreal game from my mind yesterday. Great game from him!
  7. That is an awful looking collection of LBs. Yikes!
  8. This game always scares me. There were too many years where we were significantly better than the Riders but still somehow lost (Rocky Butler and Michael Bishop games come to mind) and I'm still suffering PTSD. That said, we seem to have flipped the script in their new toilet bowl stadium and we definitely are a much better team, so I remain cautiously optimistic.
  9. Mmm… Laphroig. Islay scotches are definitely a cut above the rest.
  10. The Trestman experiment probably soured a lot of potential NFL interest when looking at CFL coaches.
  11. Well, we did have Fred Reid in 2009 so he may have won a few games.
  12. Responding from my phone was proving difficult. I edited my post to hopefully now be legible.
  13. My picks to this point: Offensive MVP - Collaros Defensive MVP - Nichols Top Canadian - Thomas Top rookie - Schoen Top O-lineman - Bryant Top Special Teams - Grant Overall MVP - Collaros
  14. I'm convinced that when ZC went into the locker room, then came back to complete the TD drive after the pyramiding penalty, then rushed to the locker room again it was because he had to pee.
  15. Why didn’t they get the ball at the 1 after the pick? His knee was clearly down before he crossed the end zone line.
  16. Pretty much. We saw disappointment after disappointment from formerly great receivers who came here and were busts. Ellingson has thankfully broken that mold but it was hard to get excited until we actually got to see how good he still is.
  17. I wish he was still playing with us. Congrats Andrew!
  18. Are we missing Ellingson this much? I know he’s great but I thought we could be a bit more consistent without him.
  19. It looked like it was both.
  20. That's an attractive sales pitch if I've ever heard one. Come join us in Saskatchewan, the embarrassment of the league. It will just be for a quick time while our entire organization is plagued by Covid. Don't worry, as soon as our starters get healthy we'll cut you!
  21. I remember when we were gunning for Derel Walker until he got lost in a cave somewhere or abducted by aliens for a few months. Seeing his play and attitude since joining the Elks sure makes me glad we dodged that bullet.
  22. Miller was awful. I put our one meaningful loss last year squarely on him. Houston was much better even then.
