The issue was that I was at the game... I would have needed to delay live action to sync up with the radio -
Odds and Sods - Riders vs Bombers - Western Conference Final

I tried listening to CJOB on my phone at the game, but it was too far behind the action that it just didn't make sense. Listened to the pre and post game shows though. -
If it's the guy from the Arkells who they had in the booth the other day, I don't mind it. He is a fan of the game and understands it. He knew when to stop talking and is knowledgeable enough that if the guys in the booth do ask him to do a play call, he could probably pull it off.

I think if there were a limited number for each game, that would be a safer way for them to do it. That being said, if you would otherwise only have 26,000 in the seat, and now you get an extra 2,000 kids, that doesn't really cost the team anything, and they make money on concessions, so unless there would otherwise be a sellout, I think it's a win-win for the team.

Doesn't the 6 game expires after WF? If so, they may be keeping him for the Grey Cup.

Wow, my sister had a Polka Dot Door game back in the 80s... I never knew that it was anything more than that.

Can't agree with you more... West Side SUCKS!!!!!

In the case of the rules, Quarterback is being used as the designated 2 spots on the roster list, not in the number of people who can play the position. As someone else pointed out, if QB1 and QB2 were to be injured in a game, someone else (like a receiver) would have to step in to take the snaps. List the 3rd QB under any position you want, they use up one of the American (and likely DI) spots on the roster.

I believe that the league mandated that all players must travel together, they wouldn't allow exceptions for teams that would have the ability to bus some players separately.

Oh, I'm aware that it's gone through many ownership changes. The difference this time is that she's a vocal nut job and that stink is now associated with the Fun Mountain name. The new owners would definitely want to distance themselves from that. Agreed though that it isn't the same draw that it used to be and that the land is the most valuable part of that... needs the right person to come in with some ideas to reimagine the place as something that will bring people in.
-
Whoever buys it better change the name before doing anything else, otherwise they'll still be associated with her.

That was my question, are we at 100%, or is there still a hold out? If there is a holdout, theories on who it is 😀
-
That'll be interesting for NHL, MLB and NBA teams coming to play in Canada as well... changes roster management quite a bit.

I feel like the fact that Jeffcoat's sister was able to come up and attend a game (implying that she's vaccinated), then he would be as well. Grant would make some sense based on him not playing last week or this week.
-
I'm curious to know if we've hit 100% yet, or if there's still those 1 or 2 hold outs, and if we'll find out who he/they are?
-
Because they are allowing you to book for influenza and pneumonia vaccines all at the same time. They aren't filtering it in the booking system.
-
I guess those of us who were trying to get ahead of it were doing so in vain: https://www.chrisd.ca/2021/11/19/manitoba-covid-19-vaccine-children-approval/ Specifically: Officials say some people have tried to pre-book appointments next week in anticipation of the vaccine being available. Those who have done so will be turned away at the clinic and their appointments are considered invalid. The province says there will be a separate booking option for children aged five to 11.
-
Well there goes my theory... I thought they were still having them semi-regularly and since this was big news, I figured they would throw one together. Also noticed that on the RBC booking site, they are taking bookings for general vaccinations as well (influenza and pneumonia), so the fact that they are allowing bookings doesn't necessarily mean it's for Covid.

Yes, they announced the eligibility yesterday. I'm assuming more details about availability in MB will come out at the press conference today.
-
I'm assuming the usual press conference time (11:00?)
-
The fact that influencer is listed as some peoples' occupation now makes me shake my head in dissapointment.
-
I had the same thought... wouldn't want to go all the way down there to get turned away. I know that when I was trying to book for my older kids, it wouldn't even let me get that far until they were officially eligible, so I'm hopeful that means they have the kids doses ready to go. News release says the kids doses will arrive in Canada within days and that it will take about about a week to get them distributed to clinics within Manitoba. @Tracker, how do you know that doses are already in Winnipeg?
-
Wow... availability as early as 7:30 tonight.

My kid was so flipping excited this morning... now to find a walk up/appointment ASAP.
