I think it is, but I have no way to prove it. I feel like the horn would project further as well, but again no proof. This is why I'm asking the question in general, was mostly curious to know what others thought.
-
The original question wasn't about the sound, it was about the spit factor while Covid is still out there.

After sitting through the game yesterday, with a guy sitting beside me blowing a horn the whole time the defence was on the field, I'm curious to know what others think. I feel like the horns should not be allowed in the stadium right now because anyone using one is basically spitting on a bunch of people sitting in front of them. I know that everyone (over 12) in the stadium is vaccinated, and for me, I'm wearing my mask at all times, but we are still in a pandemic. mI' thinking of writing to the team to ask about this, but I was curious to know other peoples' thoughts on that before I do.

Reminds me of the Bombers in '13. Just painful to watch knowing they never stood a chance to win.

Came across this a couple of months back:

Could have been worse... I half expected it to be Cameron Friesen

Andrew Harris

Agreed, I had the same thought about winter ultimate.

New public health orders for Manitoba... here are some highlights: Manitobans must be fully vaccinated in order to go to a restaurant, work out at a gym or visit the movies starting Sept. 3, Dr. Brent Roussin announced on Friday. The province also is reinstating its mask mandate for all indoor public places starting tomorrow. The vaccine requirement will be in place for: Indoor and outdoor ticketed sporting events and concerts. Indoor theatre, dance and symphony events. Restaurants (indoor and patio dining). Nightclubs and all other licensed premises. Casinos, bingo halls and VLT lounges. Movie theatres. Fitness centres, gyms and indoor sporting and recreational facilities (excluding youth recreational sport). Organized indoor group recreational classes and activities, and indoor recreational businesses.

Exactly, and there have been doctors and nurses out there refusing the vaccine for various reasons and those are the ones the anti-vax, anti-mask crowd point to and say "See even these medical professionals don't trust the vaccine"... Some doctors come out of Med school with a 4.0+ GPA, others around 3.0 or possibly less (not sure what the fail mark is), but at the end of the day, they are all called doctor once they're done.

An opinion piece written mostly by people with a Ph.D. in History... not sure they actually know what they are talking about in this case. The fact that vaccinations, masking and lockdowns have worked to reduce case spread throughout the world proves this to be wrong. What's going on down in Florida does as well.

I get that Duke made a lot of catches when he was up here, but I felt like most of them should have been penalized. Every time he went up for a 50/50 ball, he pushed off the defender to get space and make the catch. I'm not a pro scout or anything, so I don't know much, but that's what I remember about Duke's time in the CFL.

Odds and Sods - Game 3 - Bombers at Argos
Sard replied to do or die's topic in Blue Bomber Discussion
The biggest issue that I saw with the receivers, especially Lawler which was a surprise, was that whenever they had the wide open, easy catches, they were peaking to see where they were going to run just as the ball was arriving and ended up dropping it. Saw Lawler do it 3 or 4 times, Bailey once or twice, and I think a few other guys here and there throughout the game. Those were the difference between 1st down and 2 and out. There were enough of them that they could never get any drives going and give the D a rest. -
I'm gonna go with Kenny Lawler this week.

I watched a replay of that one very closely (1:40 on the video below), and while I saw 2 guys jump, they were set back when they started, so they may not have actually crossed into the neutral zone before the snap of the ball. From the angle shown, the guy at the bottom of the line (40) was very close. An argument could be made that it was a 50/50 call by the ref, but I think he did end up offside, so yeah, missed call.

I'm hoping that it gets administered in schools. This would be the fastest way to get to all the kids quickly (once it's approved). My 9 year old is much like your 7, continuously asking when she can get her shot.

I think one thing that lots of people forget is that there is a cost to taking cash as well, it just isn't as visible as the 1% or 2% that you pay to the credit card companies. You need to pay someone to make sure there is enough of a float at each register, and then you need to pay people to count the cash and reconcile that against the sales receipts. On top of that, someone to deal with depositing the cash, and then doing it all over again for the next game/event. I don't know if it equates to 1% per transaction, but there is definitely a cost to taking cash.

I've gotta not pick Oliveira next week so he can score.
-
I'm going with Brady Oliveira again this week.

While I agree with you, allowing those to go uncalled allows players to get away with cheap shots away from the play that could cause problems in the longer term.

Yeah, there was that guy, there were 2 on the East side upper deck near me, and Bubba posted a picture of what I presume to be him and 3 friends all decked out in their fur coats.

I said the same thing to my dad at the game, "Two plays in a row to Banks, if he gets one more he's going to go whining to the coach". On the flip side, I think there were at one point 3 or 4 in a row or maybe even something like 5 out of 6 plays in a row that went to Brady O. and he stayed in there ready for more.
-
Which one? I saw at least 7 of them.

IG Field - New Game Day Protocols, Bussing, Tickets, etc. thread
Sard replied to JCon's topic in Blue Bomber Discussion
Yeah, I think the issue is exactly as someone else said where they were going down the line and not just waiting in one spot. I got scanned by one guy, and then asked by 2 more if I had been checked yet. If they stay in one spot, nobody gets missed, but I think they were trying to make sure it didn't slow down the lines at all. I'm hopeful that even if they did miss some people, that they were vaccinated because everybody should have known that it was a requirement to get it.
