I saw a helicopter at one point too, so I figured that's what they were using for those outside the stadium shots. Good stuff either way.
-
Yeah, I saw one hovering above the West side, in the first half. Likely the same one you saw, and I had the same thought.

IG Field - New Game Day Protocols, Bussing, Tickets, etc. thread

That was disappointing. I would have liked to see more masks being worn, especially on the concourses. -
I have to re-watch the game, but it seemed to me on the kickoff for the 3rd quarter, Hansen made a similar tackle on the kick returner as the one in the Grey Cup last year. Did anyone else see that?
-
No issues on the East side upper deck. Looking at the concourse on the West side though, I can imagine the lines were a nightmare.
-
No drones, they have the sky cam on the cable system like the NFL has, and like they usually do for the Grey Cup game. Hopefully they have it for all games now.

A little late for this reply, but no, they didn't boo the free part, they Blue the free part... "God keep our land, glorious and BLUE!!!"

My kid will be wearing a mask in school whether it is required or not... at least until she is fully vaccinated.

https://www.bluebombers.com/2021-stadium-protocols/ KNOW YOUR GATE: Enter IG Field through your assigned gate. Gates will open 90 minutes prior to kickoff for all Winnipeg Blue Bombers games. -
I'd go out on a limb and say that although Buck is a rookie OC, he's had enough time as an assistant coach to know what he's doing. I've said it before in another thread (or possibly this one), a few years back, every time Buck was up in the booth calling plays, the team did really well. I'm not worried at all about how he'll do, and in fact, I'm very excited to see what his offence looks like. I think it's going to be exciting to watch.

That was my first thought as well, but there are the same vouchers on every game that I have checked.
-
When I click on the vouchers link, it brings up a QR code that says Voucher above it, and underneath it says "Scan to redeem voucher" and "Not valid for Entry". It's in a section called Event Extras
-
When I go into my account, it shows the 2 tickets for the game and 2 vouchers, but it doesn't say what the vouchers are for. Does anyone know?

Toss up for me between Oliveira and Wolitarski... Gonna go with Drew Wolitarski for this week.
-
I'm pretty sure the concourses are considered "indoor" as well, especially the upper decks, along with the ramps and stairwells. I'm planning to wear mine the whole time either way.

I know there are some people here in MB who think we should be moving quicker like AB, but I REALLY hope that we don't. It may be overly cautious, but I'm ok with that. I played Ultimate on Tuesday and I may have been the only person on any of the fields wearing a mask, but I wasn't going to take any chances with being that close to people I don't know.
-
Well nobody was catching Australia in that one, so nothing wrong with the Silver.
-
I like that comparison a lot, and I see a lot of parallels with the vaccine in the way that you have described it. To further the comment about underlying issue, I would give specific examples like stress, sitting for too long, repetitive strain injuries.

I agree that the Darwin Wave is still an appropriate name. People like us with kids under 12 are still making the kids wear masks, and limiting their exposure as much as possible which reduces their risk. Still concerning for sure.
-
I believe so. Everything that I've seen referencing proof of vaccination has also said that it has to match your ID. It kinda makes sense, otherwise people could get away with fake QR codes.
-
Do they actually work though?
-
Yeah, going to the game is a tough one, and will feel very strange. I'm going to be there, and I will wear my mask for the whole thing, whether it is required or not.
-
I heard that they expect the vaccine approvals to be done by the end of September, so they could be getting vaccinated as early as October... here's hoping...
-
My concern is for the kids who can't get vaccinated yet. I have an 8 year old, and until she is vaccinated I'm still a little uncomfortable with loosened restrictions. Specifically anything to do with masks and distancing.
