There was something on Twitter about 1 of the Sask players having tested positive, but it turned out to be a false-positive. Also, 10 out of 6000 is a TPR of 0.17%, so overall, not too bad.

I feel like that appeal should be thrown out pretty quick though because they (or someone associated with them) caused the incident. That's basically saying "we are appealing because the judge didn't give in to our intimidation which makes the result of the trial unfair". If anything, they should get a harsher punishment because of it.

If vaccines are against nature, then so are TV transmissions, and frankly pretty much everything people do... but if they want to be the group to volunteer to be wiped out by nature, who are we to stop them?

What is the Immunization Verifier app called (for Android)? I've searched for it and there are a number of options but I'm not sure which is the real one.

Take a screenshot of each so you just have to bring up the pictures, rather than logging in to each account when you need it.

My son went in there this morning, appointment was for 8:30 and he didn't get in for his shot until 9:45. They were a bit disorganized, and there might have been a doctor who didn't show up this morning which could have caused the problems. Either way, both of my 12+ kids now have both vaccines so we're as protected as we can be.
-
Thanks for this, was able to move an appointment up from the 12th to tomorrow for one of my kids.

There was something about an app being available shortly that will be able to read the QR codes. My guess would be that the venues will have to be on the honor system to a point, but likely fined very heavily if they are caught allowing exceptions.

My wife spent time on the booking website refreshing over and over until a cancellation opened up a spot. It takes time, but hearing a few people have done it that way.

Per the vaccine eligibility website: Information about Second Doses It is recommended that people receive the same mRNA vaccine (Pfizer or Moderna) for their 1st and 2nd doses where possible. However, these vaccines are considered equivalent, and both are safe and effective. When the same vaccine is not readily available, you can book an appointment for either Pfizer or Moderna as the 2nd dose. Individuals can also choose to book the earliest vaccine available to them for their 2nd dose. You do not have to wait to receive the same brand of vaccine as your 1st dose.

Except for children 12-17, which we kinda knew from what was said yesterday. Tried booking my kids in on the off chance that I could, but the system wouldn't let me.

I got mine 2 days after becoming eligible at Pure Lifestyle clinic: https://www.purewinnipeg.com/covid-19-vaccination-clinic Looks like they are currently waiting on a new shipment of vaccines from the province, but might be a place to watch when the new shipment of Moderna comes in next week.

2021 Off-season: State of the Jets

Because MTS/BellMTS had the naming rights contract for the first 10 years, and they got outbid or didn't bid at all to get the naming rights contract for the next 10 years. -
I believe that they have only been expanding the eligibility every Monday, Wednesday and Friday. I never quite trust the Monday numbers because testing seems to go down on weekends. The Tuesday numbers are usually more consistent with the rest of the week.

For me, I think I'm ok with either one or both doses. I'm also good with having a mask requirement.

I got my 2nd shot after 6 weeks... looked up a bunch of studies and it was hard to decypher it all. What I got from it was 8-12 weeks got you a more effective immediate result, but 4 weeks looked like better long term efficacy. I decided to split the difference and got the 2nd dose right away to be more protected ASAP.

Got my 2nd dose vaccine today... now I wait for it to do it's thing... 👍

I could see it being a permanent thing showing your whole vaccination record. This would be usable when you travel to the tropical places and require certain vaccinations to be able to go there.
-
I think if you have a condition that legitimately doesn't allow you to be vaccinated, then your vaccine passport would reflect that.

Thanks, I actually just booked it. Got in for this Saturday at Pure Lifestyle on Empress. Otherwise I was looking at the beginning of July at RBC and Leila. https://www.purewinnipeg.com/covid-19-vaccination-clinic

I hear you on the parents needing to talk to other people. My wife and I were talking across the street to our neighbor the other day and when we came back in the house we both said something like "wow, that was really nice to talk to people in person"

My kids have been doing ok with it this year. My boys (both 16) are doing surprisingly fine, but could use more interaction with friends as far as us parents are concerned. My daughter (8) is actually doing really well with it this year because she has 3 video calls a day with her class and then a bunch of homework. Last year she struggled with only 1 call a day and not nearly enough work, she was just bored. Overall, the experience this year has been much better than it was last year for us. I do agree with you though that I wonder how much any of them are actually learning compared to what they are supposed to.

How did you find out that they updated the date? I ask because my first dose was on April 23rd and I want to catch it as soon as they update (hopefully tomorrow). The website is still showing the update from yesterday. Friends of mine have. From what I've heard it sounds like it's setup very much the same as RBC. Bunch of chairs where you sit and the vaccinator is rolling up and down the lines with a rolling chair and people following behind to do the paperwork.
