I seem to remember when they announced that this cap was coming back early in the season that all of the teams were consulted, and the number they came to was based on an average of what all teams were spending. We're seeing a few teams drop coaches who were likely the above average spend teams, while the rest of the league is quiet because they are at or below the average.

I absolutely agree with that. I heard about these ones on the radio and got all excited, but am quite disappointed in the result.

Looks like the Bombers marketing department did end up jumping on the Canadian Mafia idea:

The difference there is that the NHL didn't start that. It was a Punjabi fan who also happened to be an aspiring broadcaster who got that going. I do think it's a good idea, but I don't think it's something that can be forced. You need someone from the Punjabi (or any other) community to be passionate about the sport and want to give that a try.

The quote I heard on the radio from Nichols was "That wasn't championship caliber quarterbacking"... which implies to me that he is taking some level of responsibility for it.

No, no, no... for them it's sibling-marries-sibling

I don't see the horse collar, the guy had Durrant by the front of his chest protector and threw him down. -

Can't remember the exact situation, but I definitely remember the kick. I thought Toronto was involved in that game, but it was a few years ago so I could be mistaken. Looked hilarious from the side view anyway. -
Movin' on to take on the Calgary Stampeders!!!!

The part I question about this is the positioning of the extra official. As evidenced from the last game, watching the ref cam, his view was clearly obstructed and could not make the call because he couldn't see it. Having another person out there doesn't guarantee a clear view, while the eye in the sky has more than enough angles to make it virtually impossible to miss. -
He would defend it from the perspective that Jeffcoat didn't do it on purpose, and tried to lay in a good legal hit. Believes it will be fined because it turned into a hit to the head which can't be denied.

TSN 1 and 4 definitely had the whole game. Not sure why, but TSN3 doesn't seem to have the finals games either, must ha e something to do with they're NFL broadcast rights. Anyway, the game next week is on TSN 1 per the guide.

The only knock on Streveller (or possibly Lapo) for me was later in the game when he stayed in after a 1st down, he should have handed off to Harris. He had been keeping it all day and going nowhere, so ha. Ding it off probably would have left Harris with room to run. Overall, great win... GO BLUE!!!

How do you see the West playoff teams in comparison to yours.

I would much prefer a 4 game win streak to finish out the season. -
Looking at it again, it looked like they may have hit helmet to helmet... pretty wicked hit either way.

Also goes to show that Franklin wasn't necessarily the 'next great QB' that some thought he would be. Perhaps he can still get there, but I seem to remember some wanting him here to replace Nichols because he was going to be so much better.
-
Interesting that you're questioning Jackson at 32, but suggesting Stef Logan since he's 38 (though he doesn't necessarily play like it).

Highlighted the key word. By definition, a diehard fan does not waver in their support for the team. die·hard ˈdīˌhärd/ noun a person who strongly opposes change or who continues to support something in spite of opposition.
-
Key word there is may... does not say that they need to have.

The result is that Nichols gained some confidence back along with getting his head screwed on straight as well. That's huge for him going forward the rest of this season.
-
The fans were cheering the fact that Nichols got up with a little bit of fire. It got the team fired up to see him take a big hit and pop back up with some enthusiasm... fired up the crowd too.

Surprisingly enough, I'm pretty sure Thompkins was on the sideline in the 2nd half (in full gear). Didn't notice if he got on the field at all though.
