5) Trevor Harris, Ottawa Redblacks – In my opinion, Harris is the best in this league, I know a lot of people will disagree with me, but with a healthy Harris, the Redblacks are very dangerous. Then shouldn't he be ranked #1?

Though I agree that O'Shea maybe should have challenged it, since it was a turnover, the play was reviewed by the command centre. The fact that they didn't overturn it makes me think that it would have been a wasted challenge. When it comes right down to it, the Command Centre screwed up the call, after the refs missed it in the first place.

It's been mentioned before, but it seems to require repeating... Lankford is our backup kicker, so if for no other reason than that, he needs to be on the roster. That being said, he really screwed up at the end of the 2nd quarter when he gave up on the route which led to the int. He had the position on the defender to make the catch if he had just followed through on his run.

Can it be 7:30 yet?!? I'm getting antsy just waiting for this game... Looking forward to a great time at the ball park tonight.

Yes, that channel started out as TSN Jets, but when they went to the new numbering scheme it was TSN 3. I believe TSN 5 was Ottawa, not sure about 2 and 4 though.

Pretty sure they said that the t-shirt comes when you get your tickets next year, but the sideline experience was for a game in 2017. I'm wondering about that one as well, but they did say that there were limited spaces so they may have filled up before I signed up.

Check the games tab in Rich's Pick 'Ems spreadsheet and you can see who picked Hamilton... there were 4 of us...

Lankford is the backup kicker, so they aren't taking him off the roster.

I've got the festivus pole up in my front yard...

Absolutely agree on the kickoff thing... it's not a thing that the fans are on-board for, so they should just drop it. I disagree on the another first down, because they have got many in the past so every one going forward now is another one. Great game, great atmosphere, and even with only 26K fans in the stands, it was nice and loud when the D was on the field.

Game day thread: Ottawa QuarterBLACKS vs Bomber BYES

That was fantastic... Nichols has thrown a couple of those out this year too... that's the kind of leadership that gets the rest of the team fired up. -

Northern Harvest is more of a scotch than a rye, so slightly easier to drink straight up than regular rye.... Definitely a sipping drink, and nothing wrong with adding a bit of water to tone it down a bit. -

Sorry, but you are ruining a perfectly good Rye bu putting Pepsi in it... and besides, Northern Harvest is meant to be drunk straight on the rocks... at most a splash of water to cut it a bit... Otherwise, I approve this message -
Kelly Moore on CJOB just reported that he requested his release. He was frustrated with not getting onto the game day roster.

CFL No Contact Practices Good Or Bad For League?
Sard replied to USABomberfan's topic in Blue Bomber Discussion
Personally, I thought I saw Reilly take a shot under the chin on the tackle, but that was just my take on it. I do think there should have been a penalty on that play. That being said, I do agree that there can be situations where the concussion protocols are used even if there is no penalty. How many times do guys get tackled clean and then hit their head on the ground pretty hard? -

Rugby tackling? If guys learned how to wrap up like they do in Rugby, I think there would be a lot fewer busted tackles -
It's a field goal... we score lots of those...

Someone already pointed out either earlier in this thread, or in another one discussing the same thing that the penalty is acctually Accidental PI with an excerpt from the rule book. Incidental is not a penalty.
-
It was taken at the beginning of half time, pretty much right after the players left the field.

I would have preferred that they do the picture during the game as more of a candid shot. There was one done at the Bomber season opener at New Mosaic and it was done that way. You get to see a lot more faces because you don't have a bunch of people standing up and waving. I can't see myself because the guy in front of me had his hands up.

I think that Maas' over-reaction was totally uncalled for. It definitely wasn't an obvious PI, and arguably should have gone against Edmonton considering the receiver had his arm around the defender. I believe that the non-call was the correct one in this case.
-
Right after that, Carter went and did the same thing and the same guys pushed him back too. Felt that they should have grabbed his arms and tried to injure him for being an idiot.

Absolutely agree with the first paragraph. It's one thing to stay down after the play to slow the other team down, it's another thing entirely to wait until the ball is about to be snapped and then drop as if you've been shot by a sniper. It happens quite a bit in professional soccer and it's disgusting to watch. Totally unsportsmanlike and a very pathetic way to play a game.
