  1. Can't believe how close he was to being out there, but as far as I'm concerned he stayed in bounds.
  2. I disagree, the Calgary player headbutted and chest bumped Santos-Knox. Did he embelish it a bit, sure, but they 100% got the call right. Dickenson losing his **** on a possible turnover that they let play out is a little funny after his team got screwed when they had a short whistle in a previous game is kinda funny.
  3. I do wonder why the individual schools and/or divisions didn't take this step on their own before this though. I feel like they could have but chose not to, even though they knew it was a problem. I'm very interested to hear from my daughter when she gets back to school on what difference she finds it makes in her class. It's been a problem for a couple of years with a good number of the kids. She doesn't have a device herself and has been very frustrated with the other kids.
  4. Great news from the government banning cellphones in schools for K-8 in Manitoba: https://www.cbc.ca/news/canada/manitoba/manitoba-cellphone-ban-schools-1.7295483 It's about time, and I'm happy to see that the teachers will now have some recourse against the parents who insist that their kid has to have a phone in case they need to get a hold of them while they are in school.
  5. What food trucks do you have? Will need to keep an eye out for you next summer.
  6. Changing the name wasn't why they went multiple seasons without winning a game at home, and that was why people stopped going to games. It stopped being an entertaining product, and Chris Jones didn't help that at all. You say woke like it's a bad thing... it's a stupid term, but being culturally sensitive and stopping using a derogatory term for the name of your team is the right thing to do, and should have been done years earlier than it was.
  7. So if you are buying a community owned team, who gets paid for that purchase?
  8. Just because guys were pulling Dyce back away from the guy who shouldn't have been there doesn't mean there was a threat of violence. They were exchanging heated words and some other people stepped into pull Dyce back to get him away from the guy, but there was no indication that he was threatening violence at all.
  9. That was an amazing race by all 4 of those guys.
  10. It's impressive what some of those people can do, but I've always questioned judged sports in the Olympics, so adding more of them is really questionable to me.
  11. It doesn't need to be intentional though. That same call got made a couple years back when I believe Jake Thomas was cut blocked and blindly rolled into the QB's legs. The roughing the passer call was made by the refs on the field and the league clarified it after the fact saying that a player has to maintain control of their body at all times in order to avoid that type of contact. The CC made the right call last night, disappointed that the refs on the field didn't.
  12. When everyone thought the game was over after the turnover, a bunch of fans jumped onto the field. I believe that it was one of those fans who was over talking to some of the Ottawa players, and Dyce didn't like what he was hearing, so he got into it with the fan. Not sure if it was an Ottawa or Sask fan, but it looked like some random dude who had no right to be on the field. As for the reviews and such, I'm surprised that Crum wasn't pulled from the game by the injury spotter on the OT TD run, because he took a shot to the head and looked a little wobbly getting up after he scored. I thought the player who hit him led with his helmet and should have been penalized as well. For the last automatic review, it was a turnover which are always under automatic review by the command centre, we just don't always hear about it because some of them are reviewed faster than others, and there is usually a commercial break after a turnover, so we don't notice it. In this case, we did because of the timing and it seeming like the game was over. I think the PI call could have gone either way. Someone on the TSN panel made the comment that if you have to use slow motion to determine if it was PI or not, then it likely shouldn't be called, and I kindof agree with that. I would also say though that if that was PI, then the one that didn't get called in the Bomber game definitely should have been because the guy was all over Demski long before the ball go there.
  13. The character that many are assuming was a mockery of Jesus was meant to be Dionysus, the Greek god of wine-making, orchards and fruit, vegetation, fertility, festivity, insanity, ritual madness, religious ecstasy, and theatre. Basically, the god of partying, which is a big part of the Olympics. It's a nod to the Greek heritage of the Olympics and the people who are offended by it, are looking for something to be offended by.
  14. Apparently the refs just want to hand the game to Sask

  16. Wolitarsky
  17. Just watch Collaros come back angry after having to take a game off and just light it up like he did last year after being taken out of that Edmonton game.
  18. He lost it after the contact from Calgary and he was already down.
  19. That catch by Wolitarsky was fantastic awareness to roll so the point of the ball didn't hit the turf.
  20. Kevin Burgoine, I believe he is the receivers coach
  21. Streveler
  22. Love that helmet design, definitely my favorite.
  23. My question is whether he is actually mad, or was the reporter, Billeck, asking very leading questions so that the answers could be interpreted that way. It wouldn't be the first time a reporter wanted to stir up a controversy, so they asked those types of leading questions and then framed the article in such a way as to make it look much worse than it really is.
