I don't disagree. But, if you're going to put on a show, which is the expectation in Vegas, that's the way to do it. It's over before the game even starts, which I appreciate. The biggest annual sporting event is the Super Bowl and that has a lot of pomp and circumstance. Americans love football but they love the show even more.

Calgary, if they can win, which I doubt, can pull within one game of the Riders and take the season series. If they managed to finish with the same record, they host the West SF. Then, it would be between the Riders and Lions to see who goes to Calgary and who goes East for the playoffs. If nothing else, it makes the West interesting for the rest of the year.
