Yup, I was just curious about the date, so I looked it up to share.

This is why I support defunding the police. First responders should be better equipped to handle some of these issues. We redirect a highly trained, professional police force to deal with non-policing issues. One of the factors, as I've been told by members of the force, is that you simply cannot speak out against fellow officers. You may be able to get away with telling someone off but the whole force will come down on you, plus the union, if you don't tow the line. It becomes like a gang. They are human. Internal stuff stays internal, unless it's captured on video.

Absolutely. Just vaccine shopping.

Those numbers are over a week out of date. Again, I'll type slower... By the end of June, we'll have enough doses in Canada to fully vaccinate 22 Million people. And, enough vaccinations for everyone eligible for the end of September. The AZ vaccine second shot should not be given prior to 12 weeks. All vaccinations only provide partial immunity. But, given our province's unwillingness to do anything before we're in a crisis, we'll be locked down anyhow all summer.

They'll have enough doses to vaccinate everyone who wants it and is eligible by the end of June and fully vaccinated by the end of September. Exactly what they've been saying since fall. By the end of June, there will be enough vaccines in Canada to have 22 Million people fully vaccinated. This is behind a paywall but you can track the progress here: https://www.theglobeandmail.com/canada/article-covid-19-vaccine-tracker-canada-latest-numbers-explainer/

From Wade: Dear Season Ticket Member, We worked hard to kick off the 2021 season on time but over the last month, COVID-19 has taken hold of parts of the country. The positive news is that we are still planning for a 14-game schedule (7 regular season home games plus a potential home playoff game) starting on August 5th - full statement from the CFL below. Our Fan Services team will send a separate email by the end of this week with the specifics on what this change means for your season ticket account. As vaccination rates increase and the majority of Canadians are immunized by July 1, we will be in a good position to start in August, subject to public health approval. We’ve seen that as vaccinations have increased around the world, so has the ability for other leagues to welcome fans back to their stands. A new schedule will be released in early May which will see us playing a lot of football at IG Field in August. Like many other venues that have successfully welcomed back fans, IG Field will use a pod-seating configuration, where small groupings of fans will be safely distanced from each other throughout the stadium. Once the schedule is released, our Fan Services team will provide additional information as to what action you will need to take. On behalf of the entire organization, thank you for your ongoing support as we work through the end of this pandemic. We are very close to getting back to IG Field to cheer on your championship team. The one thing we know for certain is that the quicker our community reaches higher levels of vaccination, the quicker we will be able to get you back to IG Field. When it’s your turn, the most impactful thing you can do is get vaccinated so we can tackle COVID-19 together. Go Bombers, Wade Miller President and CEO

There's an unrated version out there too. This looks funny. I will watch this on Disney+ when it's released in May.

Last time he played was March 24th. I don't have a problem with Maurice giving him some ice time to check him out.
-
At this point, I'll just wait and see. I can't get excited about an announcement that just pushes the season later and provides no detail on the conditions for meeting the August start date.

TPR has climbed to 6.6% in Winnipeg. In two weeks, we're going to be asking Brian why he didn't shut things down earlier as we're well over 10% TPR and he's going to relay to us some moronic sports analogy and tell us it's our fault. They need better measures to curb this now. Let's reduce in-store shopping, reduce restaurant capacity now, shut those churches right down.

Ford will be sure that the Ontario teams get approval to play.

Guilty, guilty, guilty.

To what charges though?

Done and done. Now, I wait to find out what super power this gives me.

I have no problems if someone wants to do drugs. As long as they're not harming anyone around them and they contribute to offset the health costs, like smokers do with tobacco tax.

I tend to agree. There is plenty that gov't can do without banning something. Education is usually the best idea.

Let's hope so. We have (had) 55,000 AZ vaccines in freezers in Manitoba not being used. Now, they're going to be scooped up very fast. I have a bit of anxiety about skipping in front of some that need it more than I do but the Gov't is enacting a plan to get doses to those communities. I couldn't believe social media yesterday among my peers. It was like Xmas. Some were sharing pics and others were sharing that they had upcoming appointments. It felt good. I sent a message to a co-worker that it was available and she made an appointment for her and her husband. They were giddy.

Qualified immunity. He can't be sued. Another GOP gift.

Stick it in my veins. Literally.

They waited until he was secure then jumped him. It was a premeditated attack on an unarmed man. This is not a lack of training but an intentional assault.

At an anti-police violence rally, the police double down on police violence.
