The NHL is always so far behind on these things. Look how long they took to address the mumps outbreak. Never mind concussions (science is still inconclusive?!?!?).

I'm not worried about the illness affecting me. I am not old (despite what my kids say - those little punks!) but I am worried that I could pass it on to someone else with a compromised immune system or my elderly grandmother or my mother or my in-laws... Or, I pass it on to someone else that, in-turn, passes it on to someone else who could get really sick or worse.

I'm starting this thread as a side discussion of all things Corona Virus related. I understand that this is going to be discussed in almost all other topic threads but we could collect news and other items here. At work, many conferences have been cancelled. NBA - Suspended. NHL - About to be suspended. NCAA March Madness - Playing - no crowd. Political Rallies have been cancelled. Travel bans. Rita Wilson and Tom Hanks tested positive. They're in Australia where testing is available. If they were in the US, they wouldn't have been tested.

Year, year and a half before it goes for clinical trials. Longer before it reaches the masses.

Wrestle Mania is a big deal but every week they're fighting in front of large audiences. I can't imagine what sort of product they'll have if they don't have a crowd week after week?

Kudlow said just a couple of weeks ago that the virus was on lock down and going away. There is zero confidence from business in this administration. They've bungled this from the start. I wonder if the Emperor will be golfing this weekend?

There should have been a full Congressional hearing into the mismanagement of the post-hurricane response that killed 3,000 Americans. However, there was no way the GOP was going to investigate it's own failures. After the complete failure on the response and active downplaying of the threat of COVID-19, I hope that they perform a full investigation to learn how badly the Trump admin blocked and hindered the response. A failure of leadership of epic proportions.

My guess is it will be postponed. That's a destination type event, attracting people from across the country (and around the world). It's going to suck but I think they do it.
