  1. They have lots of places to hitch your horse and reasonable prices on feed. I didn't see no rustlers.
  2. Well, the city is full of Rider fans, so you get what you get. We were four forty-something year old males, so we were not bothered by anyone. It was cold out, so not many people mulling about after the game, in the evening. Before the game there were lots of Rider and Bomber fans around.
  3. Days is done? Whoa...
  4. We were there (not far from where you're staying) last year for the WSF. Have fun. It's not too bad downtown. You can catch a bus out front of the Delta to take you to the stadium (for free - shuttle to and from) When we were in Regina for the LDC, we took an Uber. From the East end of town, it costs us $20. I would do that if I were you, since it's fast and cheap. The Fat Badger is a decent place for an after game meal and drink downtown. Be respectful and the fans treat you great. Even more important after the Bombers beat the Riders.
  5. No, we need to be removing the bigots from the air. He should have been gone a long, long time ago.
  6. I downloaded the Android app on my phone. I'll use Chromecast for the family room and get the D+ app for TV in the bedroom. I like the selection. Tons of Mickey cartoons, new and old. Old movies, like Bed knobs and Broomsticks. New Marvels movies, including Endgame. I'm excited to watch The Mandalorian tonight. Mupppets! Some older, cool movies like the Sandlot. The app was slow this morning to show everything but it seems to be loading now.
  7. I got it this morning.
  8. The Blue Bombers?
  9. I'm not worried about what the fans think. No one here is playing the game.
  10. There were only a few faithful that had the Bombers (and Esks) winning. High five @NorthernSkunk, @AB BomberFan and @GOLD MEMBER!
  11. Really? Wow, I would have sworn he attempted a couple. Now, will this throw the Riders off? Assume he'll run and he'll step back and throw one downfield?
  12. How come none of you are this hardcore? As Bombers advance, long-suffering fan hopes to end 18-year-long no pants pledge Chris Matthew says he's not getting ready to put on pants just yet, but remains hopeful https://www.cbc.ca/news/canada/manitoba/winnipeg-blue-bombers-no-pants-pledge-1.5355880 With the Winnipeg Blue Bombers advancing to the West Division final against Saskatchewan, could this be the end of Bomber fan Chris Matthew's 18-year-long pledge to not wear pants until his beloved team clinches the cup? Despite seeing the team advance in the CFL playoffs, he says he's not getting ready to switch out of his shorts just yet. The Bombers head to Regina for next Sunday's West final against the Saskatchewan Roughriders, after beating the Calgary Stampeders 35-14 in Sunday's West Division semifinal. The victor there will represent the West in the Grey Cup in Calgary on Nov. 24. Winnipeg's Janarion Grant, centre, runs the ball as Calgary Stampeders' Riley Jones closes in during the Bombers' 35-14 win on Sunday to advance to the West final. (Jeff McIntosh/Canadian Press ) In November 2001, Winnipeg Blue Bomber fan Chris Matthew made a casual bet when he thought his beloved team was sure to win the Grey Cup. Still wearing shorts in November, he said he'd switch to pants after the Bombers clinched the cup. "So ever since, I've been in shorts," he said. The only time Matthew will put pants on is if he has to go to a funeral — where the family doesn't know about the bet. "If they know about the shorts, I'll still wear shorts to a funeral," he said. 'They could beat anybody' The Bombers haven't taken home the Grey Cup since 1990 — the same year Nelson Mandela was released from prison. The World Wide Web wasn't even a thing yet. Despite his team being one step closer to the cup, he said they've let him down too many times for him to get too excited just yet. "If they play as well as they did yesterday, they could beat anybody," he said. Chris Matthew says he'll even wear shorts to a funeral if the family knows about his pledge. (Gary Solilak/CBC) "If they don't win, I'm fine. I've lived with this now for almost 20 years, I can continue, it's not that big a deal. For their sake and for the sake of every other Bomber fan, I'd like to see them win." His wife, Darla, says she's past the point of caring. "I don't care. He likes it, and I know that win or lose, he likes the shorts. And he complains, but I think he loves the attention," she said. "We have been walking down the street when it's cold out. and I have a fur coat, and he's in shorts, and people stare. And I just assure them, yes, he's an idiot." If you're looking to charter a bus to Regina for the big game, that might be tough on short notice, says Allan Mellon with All Road Tours. If you do, Mellon's advice is to get insurance, and make sure it's registered properly. "Since the Humboldt incident, people are weary of who they travel with. There are reputable companies in Winnipeg, just do your homework," he said. "My suggestion if you want to go to Regina ... jump in your car. Finding a bus would be very difficult." As for Matthew, he says he's saying put. "First of all, it's Regina, and I'd have to sit outside, in the cold, in my shorts, and I'm not gonna do that."
  13. Can't go this year. My friends are out, unfortunately.
  14. Thanks, @J5V, I missed this. Yes, that's what I was referring too, I was just ranting in the wrong thread.

So, if you're going to ride a Nichols/Streveler combo, that's fine but what happens when one gets hurt? Arguably, we had it good with our Nichols(Collaros)/Streveler combo because they were so different but as soon as Streveler had to run the show, it wasn't so good. in the two QB world, do you need two QBs similar enough so you don't have to change your entire approach if one gets hurt? And, I'm thinking of this over multiple games, not just an in-game adjustment.

We can only keep two QBs on the roster, so we would need to one-game or PR McGuire next year, if he's willing to take it.
  17. Different rules for the playoffs I guess.
  18. I'm surprised they can do that.
  19. Finally, that racist old man is off the air. I'm sure he'll reemerge on the Rebel where he'll be welcomed with open arms.
  20. I think he meant live.
  21. Actually, you're wrong again. The Stamps averaged over 15 carries a game and had 15 yesterday. So, they did exactly what they always do. The Bombers stepped up and beat them. Dropsie problems were forced because of our great defensive play yesterday.
  22. Won't work. Yes, you can freeze the pain but, if he's pulled the oblique, he won't have any power to throw the ball.
  23. It's a Houston Astros jersey. He's from outside of Houston. Interesting selection though.
