We had *Insert Name Here* at the top of our board. We're extremely excited to get him.

Imagine saying that thirteen months ago?

What I love most about this draft, besides the players the Bombers picked, is the absolute conviction showed by Rider fans that they do not need more OL because they signed Shepley. Against all odds, they are dug in on this. Bravo! Also like that the Argos took Richards. I feel like that's a miss.

I think it was Forde on TSN1290 raving about this kid this morning? Says he got injured and that the CFL should have pushed his draft another year. Anyhow, could be a sleeper if he wants to play. When the audio is up, I'll post the link. So far, nothing on TSN1290. Not a surprise really, Toth was away and Westwood was horrible leading the discussion.

And there goes Wilkinson.

Let's pray the Raps go deep into the playoffs. Sometime around the start of the next NBA season would be perfect.

And we're going to get a stud Olineman or have the choice of either of those guys. Sounds like Argos are definitely taking Richards, per Naylor.

Wouldn't matter, this Als team is probably down by 21 anyhow!

It shows you how incompetent this administration is. They couldn't even document the parents and children, nor did they care too. They didn't even have the foresight to think how this might come back on them. But these were brown people and Trump and his supporters didn't care.

And there in lies the problem with the deal. UFC isn't going to cut into their profit, when they have a fixed deal. Yes, they have an interest in keeping the ratings high but, with the constant turnover, can look to build other draws for future pay-per-view earnings. ESPN wants the maximum number views on each card to gain new subscribers. But, will they be willing to dip into their cash to make this happen? I don't see this arrangement working out very well, TBH. I guess we'll see.

Oh, didn't you hear? It's done. Yeah, it was declared done by Graham, so it must be. Never mind all the indictments and plea deals and all the evidence that Trump knowing encouraged Russia to interfere with the election, it's done. It's fine with the alt-righties around here. It's done.

No. Like other four-year uni players, after a certain date, he can sign as a UFA anywhere he wants.
-
I don't know about that. That's still two years away. I don't think he would start with the Jets next year, anyhow. He's probably deciding between Moose and UMD.

Even Fox "News" is calling out Fox on their handling of this. "Pushing a political agenda..." Gee, ya think??

Kongbo and Betts. I wonder how Kongbo's knee is doing? Dunk says he visited Calgary.

Only around here... Good grief. Only you think the Bombers will finish last in the CFL, somewhere behind the Schooners, Thunderbirds and Rifles because we lost two starters, even though we have very capable back-ups.

Well, I disagree that Hodge has much insight. Typically, I've found that he's misses the mark in terms of the teams moves and how players will settle in. He talks lots, that's for sure. Yes, the draft can be a crap shoot. Trades can't be predicted and a team's willingness to draft a player that may not play for a few years impacts everything. But my recollection is that Hodge typically gets the Bombers strategy wrong.

Bombers will benefit from two first-round picks in Thursday’s CFL draft By John Hodge - April 30, 2019 Some highlights... All four one, one four all It’s a safe bet that the Bombers will use the fourth overall pick in Thursday’s draft to address the offensive line. Sukh Chungh is a member of the B.C. Lions, Matthias Goossen is a police officer, and Arnaud Gendron-Dumouchel — the club’s fourth-round pick from last year — retired after suffering a devastating ankle injury with the Carabins. Clearly, the club needs an offensive lineman. ... What about Brady? Brady Oliveira has been a hot topic of conversation among Bomber fans on social media, as are most highly-touted local products come draft time. ... I don’t believe the Bombers intend on starting a national running back beyond Andrew Harris’ tenure with the club. That said, I still think Oliveira would make a great addition to the team. He could be a beast on special teams — people often forget Jon Cornish had 43 special teams tackles over his first three seasons with the Stampeders — and a versatile piece on offence. ... I won't post the whole article so that 3Downnation gets the clicks. Honest question, does Hodge EVER predict what the Bombers will do correctly? My recollection is that he's usually way off.

Virtual tour offers a peek inside Winnipeg's future Diversity Gardens Project worth $97.8-million set to open late 2020: Assiniboine Park Conservancy CBC News The Assiniboine Park Conservancy is offering a peek into its anticipated conservatory project, with a virtual tour showing what the Diversity Gardens project will look like when it's done. The development is set to open in late 2020, concluding the final major phase of the redevelopment of Assiniboine Park and Zoo that started in 2009. The makeover, originally estimated at $200 million, included improvements to the duck pond, the building of the Qualico Centre and the Nature Playground, and the revitalization of the zoo. The conservatory project will include an indoor conservatory called The Leaf, which will be five times larger and twice as tall as the old conservatory. The cost estimate for the project has jumped to $97.8 million from the original $75 million, the conservancy said in a news release Monday. The increase is due to multiple factors, including a one-year delay in construction and the overall design complexity of The Leaf, it said. The conservancy has said the roof of the structure will be made of an extremely lightweight, see-through plastic — ethylene-tetra-fluoro-ethylene — allowing the structure to be an open space without the use of heavy beams and walls. Construction on the shell started in summer 2017, and installation of the specialized roof is set to start in early fall. If that goes to plan, the biomes inside The Leaf will be planted in summer 2020, the conservancy said. The roof of the main building, called The Leaf, will be made of light-weight plastic that is translucent and able to withstand extreme temperatures and wind. Outside, a group of garden spaces will be collectively called the Diversity Gardens. Landscape work started last year, the conservancy said, and opening of the outdoor areas will depend on completion of The Leaf. So far, the project has secured $79.5 million from all levels of government, private donors and other sources, the conservancy said. That doesn't include newly confirmed dollars from private donors expected to be announced in the coming months, the release added. "With the ongoing support of our donors and government partners we are looking forward to completing this transformation and the opening of The Leaf and diversity gardens in late 2020," conservancy president Margaret Redmond said in the release.

Take the oline guy at 5 to save 10 pesos.

This could be the best news coming out of the whole thing. Re-integrating Gamora in the GOTG will be great too. ---- So, Spiderman's European Vacation takes place right after Infinity War. PP is just back after five years of being away, the whole world is adjusting to the new-new reality, and off the school goes on a trip to Europe? Hmmm.

I don't think Falcon is going to be Cap. Having the shield is one thing but he's not a super soldier. He's not even as talented as Hawkeye.
