I'm not sure Stone would agree to a 5-year deal. I think he needs 7 or 8. They're not paying 30+ year olds like they used to, so he'll want to maximize the term to guarantee income.

Sheer is tool. Utterly useless. The Conservatives made a poor choice in leader. They have Raitt for damn sake. Trudeau and team can take the simplest issue and twist so far that they look like bumbling idiots. This whole thing reeks and they can't communicate worth a damn. At this point, get new leadership around the capable MPs that they have. They do have a lot of capable MPs. Trudeau can paddle a canoe and give talks and become a key ambassador for the country or something. It's like watching Inspector Clouseau. I don't want to see the end of the NDP because it would mean that the far left would have a say in Liberal policies. I prefer having a centrist government that isn't afraid to make fiscally responsible decisions and not spend into oblivion (ala Chretien-Martin days).

I believe the team got tired last year. They beat a tired Preds team and lost to a less tired LVK team. I believe they're simply waiting until it truly matters. They're getting points and setting up for the playoffs. I don't necessarily agree with the strategy but I think that's what they're doing.

I know my mother agrees with this (and so do I). I think Jones brought a sense that he could do anything but really failed to deliver. He sold a bill of goods to Rider fans, who still defend him and his moves, but ultimately, it was a house of cards - completely unstable. He's a good DC. I think he'll be a better HC than O'Day is a GM but Dickenson falls first.

No matter how it all worked out, obviously for the better, Walters got lucky with Bighill. Timing was crucial. That could not have been the plan but, to Walters credit, he jumped when he had to. Also got him pretty cheap. He did fail to land a top WR. But, rather than just signing a Tier 2 receiver, he's banking on the NFL cuts.

Walters targeted the top WRs. Failed, but tried. Signing Manny "Adarius" Arceneaux would not have solved anything. Obviously, when plan A failed, he's moving onto the NFL cuts.

I'm entirely sure what his crime was that landed him for two-years in Regina but I'm glad he's put that behind him and is looking for a fresh start. Good on Johnson for getting your life back on track!
